Trulshik Rinpoche Series
Manifestation of Vairochana with the power of speech,
And Ananda, who held a treasury of sacred Dharma,
Master of a wealth of inexhaustible intelligence,
Glorious lama, at your feet I pray!
Texts by Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, Ngawang Chökyi Lodrö ('khrul zhig ngag dbang chos kyi blo gros, 1924–2011), one of the teachers of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.
Trulshik Rinpoche compiled these brief verses of praise and mantras so that all those connected with him could recite them daily or on special occasions. The deities included are Buddha Śākyamuni, Vajrasattva, Amitāyus, Amitābha, Ratnaśikhin, Medicine Buddha, Maitreya, Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajravidāraṇa, Vijayā, Tārā, Guru Padmasambhava, and the union of Hayagrīva, Vajrapāṇi and Garuḍa.
Composed in Lerab Ling, France in 2005 at the request of several translators, led by Tenzin Jamchen (Sean Price) and Chökyi Nyima (Richard Barron), this is a prayer of aspiration to be recited by modern-day lotsawas.
Long Life Prayers
This prayer for the long life of Sogyal Rinpoche was composed in 1995 in Maratika Cave, Nepal. At that time, Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche had completed a retreat focused on longevity and gave a long-life empowerment to Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche and Sogyal Rinpoche.
