Glorious Wisdom’s ​Excellent Qualities

བླ་མ་དང་མགོན་པོ་རྗེ་བཙུན་འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༎

lama dang gönpo jetsün jampé yang la chaktsal lo

Homage to the Lama and jetsün Lord Mañjughoṣa!

གང་གི་བློ་གྲོས་སྒྲིབ་གཉིས་སྤྲིན་བྲལ་ཉི་ལྟར་རྣམ་དག་རབ་གསལ་བས༎

gang gi lodrö drib nyi trindral nyi tar namdak rabsalwé

Your wisdom is brilliant and pure like the sun, free from the clouds of the two obscurations.

ཇི་སྙེད་དོན་ཀུན་ཇི་བཞིན་གཟིགས་ཕྱིར་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་ཀར་གླེགས་བམ་འཛིན༎

jinyé dön kün jishyin zik chir nyi kyi tukkar lekbam dzin

You perceive the whole of reality, exactly as it is, and so hold the book of Transcendental Wisdom at your heart.

གང་དག་སྲིད་པའི་བཙོན་རར་མ་རིག་མུན་འཐུམས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་གྱིས་གཟིར་བའི༎

gangdak sipé tsönrar marik mün tum dukngal kyi zirwé

You look upon all beings imprisoned within saṃsāra, enshrouded by the thick darkness of ignorance and tormented by suffering,

འགྲོ་ཚོགས་ཀུན་ལ་བུ་གཅིག་ལྟར་བརྩེ་ཡན་ལག་དྲུག་བཅུའི་དབྱངས་ལྡན་གསུང༌༎

dro tsok kün la bu chik tar tsé yenlak drukchü yangden sung

With the love of a mother for her only child. Your enlightened speech, endowed with sixty melodious tones,

འབྲུག་ལྟར་ཆེར་སྒྲོགས་ཉོན་མོངས་གཉིད་སློང་ལས་ཀྱི་ལྕགས་སྒྲོགས་འགྲོལ་མཛད་ཅིང༌༎

druk tar cher drok nyönmong nyi long lé kyi chak drok drol dzé ching

Like the thundering roar of a dragon, awakens us from the sleep of destructive emotions and frees us from the chains of karma.

མ་རིག་མུན་སེལ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱུ་གུ་ཇི་སྙེད་གཅོད་མཛད་རལ་གྲི་བསྣམས༎

marik münsel dukngal nyugu jinyé chö dzé raldri nam

Dispelling the darkness of ignorance, you wield the sword of wisdom to cut through all our suffering.

གདོད་ནས་དག་ཅིང་ས་བཅུའི་མཐར་སོན་ཡོན་ཏན་ལུས་རྫོགས་རྒྱལ་སྲས་ཐུ་བོའི་སྐུ༎

döné dak ching sa chü tar sön yönten lü dzok gyalsé tuwö ku

Pure from the very beginning, you have reached the end of the ten bhūmis and perfected all enlightened qualities. Foremost of the buddha’s heirs,

བཅུ་ཕྲག་བཅུ་དང་བཅུ་གཉིས་རྒྱན་སྤྲས་བདག་བློའི་མུན་སེལ་འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་ལ་འདུད༎

chu trak chu dang chunyi gyen tré dak lö münsel jampé yang la dü

Your body is adorned with the hundred and twelve marks of enlightenment. To Mañjughoṣa, the ‘Gentle-voiced’, I prostrate, and pray: dispel the darkness from my mind!

གང་གི་ལྷག་པའི་བསམ་པ་རྣམ་པར་དག་པས་གཅིག་དང༌། བདུན་དང༌། ཉི་ཤུ་གཅིག་དང༌། བརྒྱ་དང༌། སྟོང་ལ་སོགས་པ་དག་ཉིན་རེ་བཞིན་དུ་སྒྲོགས་པ་དེ་ནི། གོ་རིམ་ཇི་ལྟ་བ་བཞིན་དུ་སྒྲིབ་པ་འདག་པ་དང༌། ཐོས་པ་འཛིན་པ་དང༌། སྤོབས་པ་དང༌། མི་བརྗེད་པའི་གཟུངས་དང༌། ཕྱིར་རྒོལ་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་འཇོམས་པའི་ཤེས་རབ་ཀྱི་དབང་པོ་དང༌། སྟོབས་ལ་སོགས་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། གང་ཞིག་ཉིན་རེ་བཞིན་དུ་ལན་གསུམ་དུ་བསྟོད་པར་བྱེད་པ་དེ་ནི་ཇི་སྐད་བཤད་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་དེ་དག་དང་ལྡན་པས་ཤེས་རབ་དང་སྙིང་རྗེའི་ལམ་དང་ས་རྣམས་རིམ་གྱིས་བགྲོད་དེ། གོང་ནས་གོང་དུ་ཆེས་ཆེར་འཕེལ་ནས་མྱུར་དུ་རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་འགྲོ་བ་མ་ལུས་པ་འཁོར་བ་ལས་སྒྲོལ་བའི་དེད་དཔོན་ཆེན་པོར་འགྱུར་རོ། །དཔལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡོན་ཏན་བཟང་པོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་བསྟོད་པ་སློབ་དཔོན་རྡོ་རྗེ་མཚོན་ཆས་མཛད་པ་རྫོགས་སོ།། །།

ཨོཾ་ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ན་དྷཱིཿ

om a ra pa tsa na dhih

བརྩེ་ལྡན་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་རབ་འོད་ཟེར་གྱིས༎

tseden khyé kyi khyen rab özer gyi

With all of your kindness and love, let your wisdom’s shining light

བདག་བློའི་གཏི་མུག་མུན་པ་རབ་བསལ་ནས༎

dak lö timuk münpa rabsal né

Clear the darkness of my ignorance, once and for all.

བཀའ་དང་བསྟན་བཅོས་གཞུང་ལུགས་རྟོགས་པ་ཡི༎

ka dang tenchö shyungluk tokpa yi

Grant me, I pray, the intelligence, the brilliance

བློ་གྲོས་སྤོབས་པའི་སྣང་བ་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ༎

lodrö pobpé nangwa tsal du sol

To understand the scriptures—the words of the Buddha and works of the masters.

གང་ཚེ་བལྟ་བར་འདོད་པའམ༎

gang tsé tawar döpa'am

And whenever I wish to look upon you,

ཅུང་ཟད་འདྲི་བར་འདོད་ན་ཡང༌༎

chungzé driwar dö na yang

Or ask of you anything at all,

མགོན་པོ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་ཁྱེད་ཉིད་ནི༎

gönpo jamyang khyé nyi ni

Lord and protector, Mañjuśrī,

གེགས་མེད་པ་ཡང་མཐོང་བར་ཤོག།

gek mepa yang tongwar shok

Let me see you without any hindrance!
