༄༅། །དམ་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྐོང་བཤགས་བཞུགས་སོ། །
A Practice of Fulfilment and Confession to an Ocean of Oath-bound Protectors

ཨོཾ། ཡེ་ཤེས་ལས་གྲུབ་མངོན་ཤེས་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་ཅན། །
om, yeshe lé drub ngönshé dzutrul chen
Oṃ! Wisdom protectors and those who carry out activity, you who are clairvoyant and possess magical powers,
ལེགས་ཉེས་སྟངས་འཛིན་དམ་ཚིག་རྗེས་གཅོད་ཅིང༌། །
leknyé tangdzin damtsik jechö ching
Who judge good and bad and assess whether our sacred samaya pledges have been kept,1
བཀའ་བཞིན་རྗེས་སུ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་གྲོགས་མཛད་པ། །
ka shyin jesu drubpé drok dzepa
You are like an ally who acts according to the commands,2
དམ་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ། །
damchen gyatsö tsok nam gong su sol
Ocean of oath-bound ones, please think of us with your wisdom mind!
བདག་ནི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་སྔགས་འཆང་སྒྲུབ་པ་པོས། །
dak ni naljor ngakchang drubpapö
Although I, a yogi, mantra holder and practitioner,
གསང་སྔགས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་མཆོག་ཏུ་དམ་བླངས་ཏེ། །
sang ngak dorjé chok tu dam lang té
Pledged to keep the vows of the supreme vajra vehicle of secret mantra
སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་སུ་སྒྲུབ་པར་དམ་བཅས་ཀྱང༌། །
ku sung tuk su drubpar damché kyang
And although I vowed to accomplish the enlightened body, speech and mind,
མ་རིག་དབང་གིས་དེ་ལྟར་རྔོ་མ་ཐོགས། །
marik wang gi detar ngo matok
I have come under the sway of ignorance and so have failed to do so.
འགལ་འཁྲུལ་ཉམས་ཆག་ཐམས་ཅད་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས། །
galtrul nyamchak tamché tol lo shak
I openly admit and confess all my transgressions, confusions, impairments and breakages!
ལུས་དང་ངག་ཡིད་ཉོན་མོངས་དབང་གྱུར་པས། །
lü dang ngak yi nyönmong wanggyurpé
Since my body, speech and mind have fallen under the power of emotions,
མི་དགེའི་སྡིག་རྣམས་བགྱིས་དང་བགྱིད་རྩལ་བ། །
migé dik nam gyi dang gyi tsalwa
I have committed unwholesome, negative acts, encouraged others to do so,
གཞན་གྱིས་བགྱིས་ལ་རྗེས་སུ་ཡི་རང་བ། །
shyen gyi gyi la jesu yirangwa
And rejoiced in others committing them.
ཐམས་ཅད་མ་ལུས་དུས་འདིར་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས། །
tamché malü dü dir tol lo shak
All this, without exception, I confess here and now!
ཆོས་སྐུ་མཁའ་མཉམ་སྤྲོས་དང་བྲལ་བ་ལ། །
chöku khanyam trö dang dralwa la
While the dharmakāya, the body of reality, is free from any conceptual elaboration, like the sky,
རྣམ་རྟོག་མཚན་མས་ང་དང་བདག་ཏུ་བཟུང༌། །
namtok tsenmé nga dang dak tu zung
Misled by thoughts and concepts, I have grasped at ideas of 'I' and 'self'.
ལྟ་སྒོམ་མ་གསལ་ཏིང་འཛིན་དོན་ལས་གཡེལ། །
ta gom masal tingdzin dön lé yel
As my view and meditation lack clarity, I have strayed from genuine samādhi.
ཆོས་ཉིད་དོན་དང་འགལ་བ་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས། །
chönyi dön dang galwa tol lo shak
I openly admit and confess going against the nature of reality!
ཉིན་མཚན་ཀུན་ཏུ་བསྒྲུབ་པར་དམ་བཅས་ཀྱང༌། །
nyintsen küntu drubpar damché kyang
Although I vowed to practise day and night,
སྒོམ་པ་ཡུན་ཐུང་བཟླས་གྲངས་ཉུང་བ་དང༌། །
gompa yün tung dé drang nyungwa dang
I only meditate briefly and recite few mantras.
བསྙེན་སྒྲུབ་གཡེལ་ཞིང་ཆོ་ག་ལྷག་ཆད་གྱུར། །
nyendrub yel shying choga lhakché gyur
I have been careless about practising the phases of approach and accomplishment, and to the rituals I have made additions of my own and omitted what is essential,
མཆོད་གཏོར་བཤམས་ཉེས་སྦྱོར་སྒྲོལ་ལས་མཐའ་ལོག །
chötor sham nyé jor drol leta lok
I have arranged offerings and tormas incorrectly, misunderstood union and liberation and committed crimes with immediate retribution.3
གསང་སྒོ་འཆོལ་ཞིང་བཀའ་ལས་འདས་པའི་སྐྱོན། །
sang go chol shying ka lé depé kyön
I have been mistaken about with whom to share the secrets, and have erred by disobeying the commands.
འགལ་འཁྲུལ་ཉམས་ཆག་ཐམས་ཅད་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས། །
galtrul nyamchak tamché tol lo shak
I openly admit and confess all my transgressions, confusions, impairments and breakages!
ཉམས་དང་འགྲོགས་ཤིང་ཉམས་པ་བསྐང་བ་དང༌། །
nyam dang drok shing nyampa kangwa dang
I have kept the company of samaya-breakers, and falsely purified their transgressions,
ཉམས་ལ་ཆོས་བཤད་ཉམས་དང་ཚོགས་འདྲེས་དང༌། །
nyam la chö shé nyam dang tsok dré dang
I have taught the Dharma to violators, and practised with them in one assembly.
ཉམས་ལ་མི་འཛེམ་ཉམས་ཆག་ཞིག་རལ་གྱུར། །
nyam la midzem nyamchak shyikral gyur
As I have not avoided samaya-breakers, impairments and breakages have ruined me.
ཉམས་གྲིབ་སྐྱོན་རྣམས་ཐམས་ཅད་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས། །
nyam drib kyön nam tamché tol lo shak
I confess all my impairments, obscurations and faults!
ཡུན་རིང་དུས་ནས་བསྙེན་ཅིང་བསྒྲུབས་པའི་ལྷ། །
yün ring dü né nyen ching drubpé lha
To you, the yidam deity I have practised for so long according to the phases of approach and accomplishment,
དམ་ཅན་སྲུང་མའི་ཐུགས་དང་འགལ་གྱུར་པ། །
damchen sungmé tuk dang gal gyurpa
I confess that I have upset the oath-bound protectors,
དུས་སུ་མ་མཆོད་བསྙེན་སྒྲུབ་མ་ཚང་དང༌། །
dü su machö nyendrub matsang dang
I have failed to make offerings at the appropriate times, and have not completed the phases of approach and accomplishment,
ལས་མཐའ་མ་ལོངས་མངོན་སྤྱོད་ལས་ལ་བསྐུལ། །
leta malong ngönchö lé la kul
I have directed wrathful activity towards those who have not carried out crimes with immediate retribution,
གཙང་སྦྲ་ཉམས་ཤིང་ལྟ་སྒོམ་མ་དག་དང༌། །
tsangdra nyam shing ta gom madak dang
I have failed to always act with pure behaviour and have practised with tainted view and meditation,
བརྩེ་གདུང་རྒྱུན་ཆད་མཆོད་པས་མ་བསྐང་དང༌། །
tsedung gyünché chöpé makang dang
Have failed to be loving and affectionate and have omitted to make amends by making offerings.
སྐོང་བ་མ་རྫོགས་ཆོ་ག་ལྷག་ཆད་གྱུར། །
kongwa madzok choga lhakché gyur
My fulfilment practice has remained incomplete, and I have made additions of my own and omitted what is essential.
ཉམས་ཆག་ཉེས་ལྟུང་བག་མེད་འགལ་འཁྲུལ་ཀུན། །
nyamchak nyetung bakmé galtrul kün
I openly admit and confess all my impairments and breakages, faults and downfalls, careless behaviour, transgressions and confusions!
མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས་སོ་བྱང་ཞིང་དག་པར་མཛོད། །
tol lo shak so jang shying dakpar dzö
Please cleanse and purify them!
ལྷ་མཆོག་རྣམས་དང་ཇི་སྲིད་གནས་ཀྱི་བར། །
lha chok nam dang jisi né kyi bar
Supreme deities, as long as you remain,
བདག་དང་མི་འབྲལ་སེམས་ཀྱིས་བསྒོམ་པར་མཛོད། །
dak dang mindral sem kyi gompar dzö
Never separate from me and cause me to meditate on you!
ཐུགས་རྗེས་དགོངས་ལ་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་གཉན་པོ་བཟུང༌། །
tukjé gong la kyilkhor nyenpo zung
Think of me with compassion and uphold the all-important maṇḍala.
བདག་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །
dak la jinlab wang dang ngödrub tsol
Bless me and grant me empowerment and accomplishment,
ཡེ་ཤེས་མཐོང་བྱེད་མ་རིག་མུན་པ་སེལ། །
yeshe tongjé marik münpa sel
Reveal wisdom to me, and clear away my ignorance.
མཉམ་ཉིད་རྫོགས་པའི་དོན་རྣམས་སོ་སོར་བྱེད། །
nyamnyi dzokpé dön nam sosor jé
Help me discriminate between all phenomena, which are in perfect equanimity.
ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་དབྱིངས་སུ་བདག་བཀོད་དེ། །
yönten lhündrub ying su dak kö dé
Establish me in the space within which the enlightened qualities are spontaneously accomplished!
མཁའ་བཞིན་མི་རྟོག་ཆོས་སྐུར་གྲུབ་པ་དང༌། །
kha shyin mitok chökur drubpa dang
May I attain the dharmakāya that is free from thought, like the sky,
ཉི་བཞིན་འོད་གསལ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་པའི་གཙོ། །
nyi shyin ösal longchö dzokpé tso
And the luminosity of the pre-eminent saṃbhogakāya, the sphere of enjoyment, like the sun.
ཟེར་བཞིན་སྤྲུལ་པས་འགྲོ་དོན་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །
zer shyin trulpé dro dön lhündrub ching
May I manifest as a nirmāṇakāya, like the rays of the sun, spontaneously benefiting sentient beings!
ནམ་མཁའི་མཐའ་ཀླས་གྱུར་པའི་འགྲོ་བ་ཀུན། །
namkhé talé gyurpé drowa kün
May all beings, as limitless as space,
ཕྲིན་ལས་རྣམ་བཞིའི་དབྱིངས་སུ་གྲོལ་བར་ཤོག །
trinlé nam shyi ying su drolwar shok
Be liberated in the expanse of the four enlightened activities!
ཅེས་ཡི་གེ་བརྒྱ་པ་བརྗོད་དོ། །དགེའོ། །དགེའོ། །དགེའོ།། །།
Recite the hundred syllable mantra. Virtue! Virtue! Virtue!
