Lotsawa House began in 2004 with one purpose: to make accurate and readable translations of Tibetan Buddhist texts available online for free. Today thousands of students of Tibetan Buddhism all over the world regularly use the site and tell us they find it invaluable.
Many of the texts we offer here have never been translated before. The site now has growing English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian language sections – and we have recently added Chinese. Translations from this site have also been translated into other languages and can be found elsewhere in, for example, Russian, Thai, and Bulgarian.
Our translators and editors are committed to the vision of making these precious texts freely available, but to continue to do so we must rely on the generosity of sponsors and donors. The funding of these translators and editors, as well as the training of future contributors and the technical development of the site, depends entirely on donations.
With your help we can build a vast library of thousands—or even hundreds of thousands—of important, beneficial and beautifully translated texts, and offer it all to the whole world “on the house”.
Please consider making an offering today. Even a small gift goes a long way!
You can make a donation through PayPal using the button to the right, or, even better, support us regularly via [Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/LotsawaHouse).
Thank you for your generosity.
“In every community may there be more and more great scholars and practitioners,
Who avoid entirely all unethical and mistaken forms of livelihood,
And devote their time to study and reflection, teaching and meditation,
So that the whole world is enhanced and made beautiful to behold!”
— His Holiness the Dalai Lama
