༄༅།  །དམ་ཅན་ཆོས་སྲུང་རྣམས་ལ་ཕྲིན་བཅོལ་བྱ་ཚུལ།

Entrusting Activity to the Oath-Bound Dharma Guardians

ཀྱེ། ཐུབ་པའི་བསྟན་པ་རིན་ཆེན་འབར་བའི་སྣོད། །

kyé, tubpé tenpa rinchen barwé nö

Kye! The teachings of the Buddha, like a vessel of shining jewels,

དགྲ་བཅོམ་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་རྗེས་སུ་བྱེད་པ་ཡི། །

drachom tsultrim jesu jepa yi

Hold the three trainings that follow the discipline of the arhats,

བསླབ་གསུམ་ཡོངས་འདུ་ས་བརྟོལ་ལྗོན་པའི་ཤིང༌། །

lab sum yongdu satol jönpé shing

Which resemble the wish-fulfilling tree of paradise—

ནུབ་པ་མེད་པར་འཕེལ་བའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་ཚུགས། །

nubpa mepar pelwé gyaltsen tsuk

Establish them, just like a banner of victory, in never-fading growth.

 

ད་དུས་སྙིགས་མ་ལྔ་ཡིས་གཟིར་བ་འདི། །

da dü nyikma nga yi zirwa di

In the present age, when beings are tormented by the five forms of degeneration,¹

ཀུན་རྟོག་དྲང་དོན་ལམ་གྱིས་གདུལ་དཀའི་ཚེ། །

küntok drangdön lam gyi dul ké tsé

And it is difficult to tame them through the analytical path of provisional meaning,

ངེས་དོན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྡེ་སྣོད་ཆེའི། །

ngedön changchub sempé denö ché

Cause the qualities of the great Bodhisattva Piṭaka of definitive meaning

ཡོན་ཏན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་གཉིས་རྒྱས་པར་མཛོད། །

yönten changchub sem nyi gyepar dzö

And the teachings on relative and absolute bodhicitta to flourish and spread.

 

ཁྱད་པར་མིག་འཕྲུལ་ལྟ་བུར་འགྲོ་བའི་ལམ། །

khyepar miktrul tabur drowé lam

In particular, make the path, which is like a magical illusion,

རྡོ་རྗེ་ཐེག་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྨིན་གྲོལ་དང༌། །

dorjé tekpa gyatsö mindrol dang

The vast, ocean-like vajra vehicle which ripens and liberates,

འཕགས་ལམ་ངེས་གསང་ཐེག་པ་མཆོག་གི་རྩེ། །

paklam ngé sang tekpa chok gi tsé

This path of the noble, peak of the supreme vehicle of the secret definitive meaning,

ཀུན་ནས་ཀུན་ཏུ་དར་བའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད། །

künné küntu darwé trinlé dzö

Flourish and spread in each and every direction.

 

རྒྱལ་བས་གདུལ་བྱའི་ཁམས་དབང་བསམ་པ་དང༌། །

gyalwé duljé kham wang sampa dang

Towards the teachings that have been taught by the Conqueror

རྗེས་སུ་མཐུན་པར་གསུངས་པའི་བསྟན་པ་ལ། །

jesu tünpar sungpé tenpa la

In accordance with the characters, faculties and inclinations of those to be tamed,

ཕྱོགས་ལྷུང་ཕྲག་དོག་གདོན་གྱི་ཀུན་དཀྲིས་ཅན། །

choklhung trakdok dön gyi küntri chen

There are those who are ensnared by the demons of prejudice and envy—

སྨོན་ལམ་ལོག་པའི་དམ་སྲིའི་སྙིང་ཁྲག་འཐུང༌། །

mönlam lokpé damsi nyingtrak tung

Drink the heart-blood of these samaya-breakers with perverted aspirations!

 

གང་གི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལུས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི། །

gang gi wangchuk lüchen tamché kyi

Mighty ones, among all embodied beings there are those

ཁུར་དུ་ལྕི་བ་སྦྲུལ་གདུག་ལྟ་བུའི་སེམས། །

khur du chiwa drul duk tabü sem

Who bear the heavy burden of minds that resemble poisonous snakes

བསྟན་འགྲོའི་ཕན་བདེ་བཤིག་ལ་ཆས་པ་དེར། །

ten drö pendé shik la chepa der

And who could destroy the happiness and benefit of the teachings and beings,

སྲུང་སྐྱོབ་མཛད་ན་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གཡར་དམ་འདྲལ། །

sung kyob dzé na khyö kyi yardam dral

So to afford them protection would contravene your sacred pledge.

 

ལོག་པར་ལྟ་བ་འཛིན་དང་ཀླ་ཀློའི་སྡེ། །

lokpar tawa dzin dang lalö dé

As soon as those who hold wrong views, barbarian forces,

དཀོན་མཆོག་དབུ་འཕངས་སྨད་པའི་རྒྱལ་ཕྲན་གྱི། །

könchok upang mepé gyaltren gyi

And local leaders who slander and debase the Three Jewels,

ཆབ་སྲིད་སྐར་མདའ་ས་ལ་ལྷུང་བ་ལྟར། །

chabsi karda sa la lhungwa tar

Carry out their evil schemes, like meteorites striking the earth,

བྱས་པའི་མོད་ལ་དོན་སྙིང་ལྐོག་མར་ཕྱུང༌། །

jepé möla dön nying kokmar chung

Eviscerate them! Tear out their hearts and vital organs!

 

མཆོད་བསྟོད་དྲེགས་པའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་མ་མཐོང་ཞིང༌། །

chötö drekpé kyilkhor matong zhing

Haughty spirits who have not seen the maṇḍala² and are made arrogant by offerings and praise,

སངས་རྒྱས་གཉིས་པའི་དམ་ཚིག་ལ་འགོངས་པའི། །

sangye nyipé damtsik la gongpé

Hosts of unruly malevolent spirits and protectors of the dark side who arrive uninvited

ནག་ཕྱོགས་གློ་བུར་ལྷགས་པའི་འདྲེ་རྒོད་དཔུང༌། །

nakchok lobur lhakpé dré gö pung

And violate the samayas of the second buddha Padmasambhava,

རྒྱ་འདྲེ་བརླང་པོར་སྤྱོད་པའི་དུས་མཐའ་བསྟུངས། །

gyadré langpor chöpé dü ta tung

And the gyadré who create conflict and discord at the end of time: destroy them all!

 

མང་དུ་ཐོས་པ་ལུང་གི་ཡོན་ཏན་དང༌། །

mangdu töpa lung gi yönten dang

Cause those who, through learning, embody the qualities of the scriptures,

རྟོགས་པས་བདག་རྒྱུད་གྲོལ་བའི་སྐྱེས་བུ་རྣམས། །

tokpé dak gyü drolwé kyebu nam

And those who have liberated their mind-streams through realization to live long,

བསྟན་པའི་རྩ་ལག་གཅིག་ཏུ་གནས་པའི་ཕྱིར། །

tenpé tsalak chik tu nepé chir

And make their enlightened activities increase just like the waxing moon,

སྐུ་ཚེ་མཛད་འཕྲིན་ཡར་ཟླའི་མཆེད་པོར་མཛོད། །

kutsé dzetrin yar dé chepor dzö

So that all the elements of the teachings remain flawlessly complete.

 

ཁྱིམ་ན་གནས་ཀྱང་ཡང་དག་ལྟ་ལ་དད། །

khyim na né kyang yangdak ta la dé

Those who, though they are householders, have faith in the authentic view,

དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལ་བླ་མར་བྱེད་པ་རྣམས། །

könchok sum la lamar jepa nam

Those who consider the Three Jewels as unsurpassed—

ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་གདུལ་བྱ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་ཕྱིར། །

tekpa chenpö dulja nyi kyi chir

Since they are disciples of the great vehicle,

གཡེལ་བ་མེད་པའི་མེལ་ཚེ་སྲུང་སྐྱོབ་མཛོད། །

yelwa mepé meltsé sung kyob dzö

Protect and watch over them, without fail.

 

ཆོས་དང་སྲིད་ཀྱི་གཞི་ལ་ཕུན་ཚོགས་སྤེལ། །

chö dang si kyi zhi la püntsok pel

Increase both spiritual and worldly excellence at home,

བྱེས་སུ་ལམ་འཕྲང་ཆོམ་རྐུན་འཚེ་བ་བསྲུངས། །

jé su lamtrang chomkün tsewa sung

Protect us from perilous paths, bandits and thieves abroad.

བསམ་དོན་ཡིད་བཞིན་འགྲུབ་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཀྱིས། །

samdön yizhin drubpé trinlé kyi

Through your enlightened activity that fulfils all our wishes,

ཚོགས་གཉིས་འབྲས་བུར་སྨིན་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྩོལ། །

tsok nyi drebur minpé tashi tsol

Grant the auspiciousness of perfecting the two accumulations!

 

ཅེས་པ་འདིའང་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་ལྷས་སོ།།  །།
