The Last Testament of Kathok Dampa Deshek
སྟོན་པའི་བསྟན་པ་ཡུན་རིང་གནས་གྱུར་ཅིག །
tönpé tenpa yün ring né gyur chik
May the teachings of the Buddha remain for long,
ཐེག་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཤིན་ཏུ་དར་གྱུར་ཅིག །
tekpé gyalpo shintu dar gyur chik
May the king of all vehicles flourish and spread,
བསྟན་པ་འཛིན་རྣམས་ཞབས་པད་བརྟན་གྱུར་ཅིག །
tenpa dzin nam zhabpé ten gyur chik
May the lives of the holders of the teachings be secure,
བསྟན་ལ་གནོད་རྣམས་མིང་ཙམ་སྟོང་གྱུར་ཅིག །
ten la nö nam ming tsam tong gyur chik
May all obstructions to the teachings be eradicated entirely,
འགྲོ་ཀུན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་པའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་ཅིག །
dro kün sangye tobpé gyur gyur chik
And may this aspiration be a cause for all beings attaining enlightenment.
ཅེས་ཀཿཐོག་དམ་པ་བདེ་གཤེགས་ཀྱིས་ས་ག་ཟླ་བའི་ཚེས་བཅོ་བརྒྱད་ལ་འདའ་ཁའི་ཞལ་ཆེམ་དུ་གསུངས་སོ། །
This was spoken as the last testament of Dampa Deshek of Kathok (1122–1192) at the moment of his death, on the eighteenth day of the month of Saga Dawa.
