གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ་ཧྲཱིཿ
Guru padma siddhi hūṃ hrīḥ
ཁ་བའི་ལྗོངས་འདིར་དབང་དུས་སུ་རྟོགས་པ་བརྙེས་པའི་སྔགས་འཆང་གྲུབ་ཐོབ་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་ཀྱི་ཚིག་སུ་བཅད་པ་བྱིན་རླབས་དབང་གི་ཆུ་རྒྱུན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ།

དཔལ་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།
Homage to the glorious Samantabhadra!
འཛམ་གླིང་དག་པའི་ཞིང་ཁམས་བྲག་དམར། །
dzamling dakpé zhingkham drak mar
You abide in the cave of glorious Samyé Chimpu
དཔལ་གྱི་བསམ་ཡས་མཆིམས་ཕུའི་གེ་གོང་། །
pal gyi samyé chimpü gé gong
At Drakmar, pure land of this world.
རྡོ་རྗེ་སློབ་དཔོན་གུ་རུ་པདྨར། །
dorjé lobpön guru pemar
To you, Vajra Master Guru Padma,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
གང་སྐུར་རྫ་རི་ཀླད་ནས་ཉེར་བ། །
gang kur dza ri lé né nyerwa
When your body was residing there
ཧཱུཾ་ཞེས་གསུང་སྒྲས་གྱེན་དུ་ལྡོག་ཅིང་། །
hung zhé sung dré gyendu dok ching
With your speech, uttering Hūṃ, you averted an avalanche
འགྱུར་མེད་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་ཡི་གེར་བྱིན་བརླབས། །
gyurmé tuk kyi yiger jinlab
And blessed the site with this syllable2 of your unchanging mind3
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
གནུབས་ཀྱི་རིགས་འཁྲུངས་དགེ་སློང་ཆེན་པོ། །
nub kyi rik trung gelong chenpo
Great monk born into the Nub clan,
ལྷོ་བྲག་ཁར་ཆུར་ཡང་དག་གྲུབ་བརྙེས། །
lho drak khar chur yangdak drub nyé
At Lhodrak Kharchu, you accomplished Yangdak Heruka, enlightened mind.
ཉི་ཟེར་ལ་ཆིབས་ནམ་མཁའི་སྙིང་པོར། །
nyizer la chib namkhé nyingpor
To you, Namkhé Nyingpo, who rides the rays of the sun,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik

གནུབས་ཡུལ་རོང་བྱོན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཡེ་ཤེས། །
nub yul rong jön sangye yeshe
Coming from the valleys in the land of Nub, Sangye Yeshe,
སྒྲགས་ཀྱི་ཡང་རྫོང་གཤིན་རྗེའི་གཤེད་གྲུབ། །
drak kyi yang dzong shinjé shé drub
At Drak Yangdzong you accomplished Yamāntaka, slayer of the Lord of Death.
མཐུ་སྟོབ་བྲག་ལ་ཕུར་པ་འདེབས་དེར། །
tu tob drak la purpa deb der
To you, who pierces solid rocks with a kīla,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
དབུ་རུ་ངན་ལམ་རིགས་འཁྲུངས་བྷིཀྵུ། །
uru ngen lam rik trung bhikshu
Bhikṣu born into the Nyenlam clan in Uru,
དབེན་རྩར་པདྨ་དབང་ཆེན་གྲུབ་བརྙེས། །
wen tsar pema wangchen drub nyé
At Wentsa, you accomplished Hayagrīva, Mighty Lotus.
རྟ་སྐད་གཙུག་བཏོན་རྒྱལ་མཆོག་དབྱངས་དེར། །
také tsuk tön gyal chok yang der
To you, Gyal Chok Yang, who neighs from the crown of his head,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
སྒྲགས་མདར་ནུས་ལྡན་མཁར་ཆེན་བརྒྱུད་འཁྲུངས། །
drakdar nüden khar chen gyü trung
Born amid wondrous signs into the Kharchen clan in Dragda,
མོན་ཁ་ནེ་རིང་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཕུར་གྲུབ། །
mön kha né ring trinlé pur drub
At Mönkha Nering, you accomplished Kīlaya, enlightened activity.
མཚོ་རྒྱལ་བསད་པའི་མི་རོ་སློང་དེར། །
tsogyal sepé mi ro long der
To you, Tsogyal, who revives the dead,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
ཡར་སྟོད་ཤམ་པོ་གངས་ཀྱི་ར་བར། །
yar tö shampo gang kyi rawar
At the mountain range of Yartö Shampo
སྲིད་པ་བདེ་འགྲོ་མངོན་པར་གྲུབ་མཛད། །
sipa dendro ngönpar drub dzé
You accomplished the higher states of cyclic existence.
མ་མོ་མངོན་ཁོལ་བྲོག་མི་དཔལ་ཡེར། །
mamo ngön khol drok mi pal yer
To you, Drogmi Palye, who makes mamos his servants,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
སྤ་གྲོ་སྟག་ཚང་བསམ་འགྲུབ་ཀེའུ་ཚང་། །
pa dro tak tsang sam drub ké'u tsang
At Patro Taksang in the cave called “Fulfillment of Wishes”
དྲེགས་པའི་བདག་པོ་མངོན་པར་གྲུབ་མཛད། །
drekpé dakpo ngönpar drub dzé
You accomplished Drekpa Dakpo,4 lord over the arrogant ones.
ལྷ་སྲིན་བྲན་ཁོལ་དཔལ་གྱི་སེང་གེར། །
lhasin drenkhol pal gyi sengér
To you, Palgyi Senge, who enslaves gods and demons,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
གཡའ་མ་ལུང་དང་ལི་ཡུལ་ལྕང་རར། །
ya ma lung dang liyul chang rar
At Yamalung and Liyul Changra
སྟོབས་ལྡན་ནག་པོ་མངོན་པར་གྲུབ་མཛད། །
tobden nakpo ngönpar drub dzé
You accomplished Tobden Nakpo,5 'Black Powerful One'.
ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་ལྡན་བཻ་རོ་ཙཱ་ནར། །
yeshe chenden bai ro tsa nar
To you, Vairotsana, with your wisdom eye,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
རིམ་གསུམ་དཔལ་གྱི་བསམ་ཡས་དབུ་རྩེར། །
rim sum pal gyi samyé u tser
In the centre of the three-storey temple of glorious Samye
རྡོ་རྗེ་རྒྱལ་ཚབ་ཆེ་མཆོག་མངོན་གྲུབ། །
dorjé gyaltsab chemchok ngön drub
You accomplished Mahottara,6 Vajra master of the assembly.
ཏིང་འཛིན་མི་གཡོ་མངའ་བདག་རྒྱལ་པོར། །
tingdzin mi yo ngadak gyalpor
To you, King Tri Songdetsen, with your unwavering samādhi,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
solwa deb so jingyi lob shik
We pray: please grant your blessings!
གཡུ་སྒྲ་སྙིང་པོ་རྟོགས་པ་མཆོག་ལྡན། །
yu dra nyingpo tokpa chokden
Yudra Nyingpo, with supreme accomplishment,
རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་མངའ་བརྙེས་ཛྙཱ་ན་ཀུ་མཱ། །
dzutrul nga nyé jnana ku ma
Jñānakumāra, with magical powers,
རྡོ་རྗེ་བདུད་འཇོམས་རླུང་ལྟར་ཐོགས་མེད། །
dorjé düjom lung tar tokmé
Dorje Düdjom, unhindered like the wind,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
མཁའ་སྤྱོད་གནས་བགྲོད་ཡེ་ཤེས་དབྱངས་དང་། །
khachö né drö yeshe yang dang
Yeshe Yang, who travels to celestial realms,
ལྷ་དཔལ་གཅན་གཟན་གཉའ་བ་ནས་འཛིན། །
lha pal chenzen nyawa nedzin
Lhapal, who catches wild beasts by their neck,
བྱ་ལྟར་མཁར་ལྡིང་སྣ་ནམ་ཡེ་ཤེས། །
ja tar khar ding na nam yeshe
Nanam Yeshe, who flies like a bird through the sky,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
དཔལ་གྱི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཕུར་པ་གདེངས་འགུམ། །
pal gyi wangchuk purpa deng gum
Palkyi Wangchuk, who liberates others by merely raising his phurba,
མི་བརྗེད་གཟུངས་ཐོབ་ལྡན་མ་རྩེ་མང་། །
mi jé zung tobden ma tsé mang
Denma Tsemang, with unforgetting memory,
སྐ་བ་དཔལ་བརྩེགས་གཞན་སེམས་ཀུན་མཁྱེན། །
kawa pal tsek zhen sem künkhyen
Kawa Paltsek, who reads the minds of others,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
ཆུ་བོ་གྱེན་ལྡོག་ཤུད་པུ་དཔལ་སེང་། །
chuwo gyen dok shü pu pal seng
Shüpu Palseng, who reverses the flow of rivers,
རྒྱལ་བའི་བློ་གྲོས་རོ་ལངས་གསེར་བསྒྱུར། །
gyalwé lodrö rolang ser gyur
Gyalwe Lodrö, who transforms corpses into gold,
ནམ་མཁའ་བྱ་འཛིན་ཁྱེའུ་ཆུང་ལོ་ཙཱ། །
namkha ja dzin khyé'u chung lo tsa
Khye'u Chung Lotsā, who catches birds in the sky,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
དྲན་པ་ནམ་མཁའ་གཡག་རྒོད་མངོན་ཁུག །
drenpa namkha yak gö ngön khuk
Drenpa Namkha, who summons wild yaks,
ཉ་ལྟར་ཆུར་རྒྱུག་འོ་བྲན་དབང་ཕྱུག །
nya tar chur gyuk o dren wangchuk
Otren Wangchuk, who swims like a fish,
རྨར་ཐོག་རིན་ཆེན་ཕ་ཝང་ཟས་གསོལ། །
mar tok rinchen pawang zé sol
Matok Rinchen, who eats rocks,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
བྲག་རིར་ཐོགས་མེད་དཔལ་གྱི་རྡོ་རྗེ། །
drakrir tokmé pal gyi dorjé
Palkyi Dorje, who passes through mountains unhindered,
དཀོན་མཆོག་འབྱུང་གནས་ཐོག་ཆེན་མདའ་འཕེན། །
könchok jungné tok chen da pen
Könchok Jungne, who shoots lightning like an arrow,
སྐྱིལ་ཀྲུང་མཁར་བཅས་རྒྱལ་བ་བྱང་ཆུབ། །
kyiltrung khar ché gyalwa changchub
Gyalwa Changchub, who sits cross-legged in the sky,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyö la soldeb jingyi lob shik
To you we pray: please grant your blessings!
དགོངས་པ་མངོན་གྱུར་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རྗེས་བཟུང་། །
gongpa ngöngyur orgyen jezung
You, who actualized Orgyen's wisdom and are embraced by him,
ཐུགས་སྲས་མི་རྗེ་འབངས་རིགས་ཉེར་ལྔ། །
tuksé mi jebang rik nyernga
Heart-disciples—the king and the twenty-five subjects.
སྨིན་གྲོལ་གདེངས་ཐོབ་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས། །
mindrol deng tob nam la soldeb
To you who were matured, liberated and achieved certainty, we pray:
ཁྱེད་རང་ལྟ་བུར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
khyerang tabur jingyi lob shik
Please grant your blessings, so that we may become just like you!
ལྟ་བ་ཀློང་ཆེན་ཡངས་པའི་དོན་རྟོགས། །
tawa longchen yangpé dön tok
Your view is the realization of the infinite vast expanse,
སྒོམ་པ་སྤྲིན་བྲལ་ཉི་མ་ལྟར་གསལ། །
gompa trindral nyima tar sal
Your meditation is clear like the sun unobstructed by clouds,
ཁྱོད་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་འདུག་ས་འདི་རུ། །
khyö la soldeb duk sa diru
To this place, where we pray to you,
མྱུར་བ་ཉིད་དུ་་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
nyurwa nyi du jingyi lob shik
Please deliver your blessings swiftly!
སྤྱོད་པ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་གྲུབ་པའི་རྟགས་ཐོན། །
chöpa tarchin drubpé tak tön
You perfected conduct and reveal signs of accomplishment
འབྲས་བུ་ཀུན་བཟང་གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་པར། །
drebu kunzang gopang tobpar
To attain the level of Samantabhadra.
བདག་དང་འགྲོ་ཀུན་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ། །
dak dang dro kün solwa deb so
I and all sentient beings pray:
ད་ལྟ་ཉིད་དུ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །
danta nyi du jingyi lob shik
At this very instant, may you grant your blessings!
ཅེས་བྱང་བདག་དབང་པོའི་སྡེས་མཛད་པའོ།།

- ↑ Once, when Guru Rinpoche was residing in the area of Samyé, an avalanche came down from a cliff, threatening to destroy the whole valley. While the stones were falling, Guru Rinpoche uttered "Hūṃ", and thereby reversed the avalanche, causing all the stones to return to where they came from. Guru Rinpoche then blessed the cliff with the syllable Hūṃ. To this day, a Hūṃ syllable is clearly visible in the cliff where the avalanche began. (Oral clarification from Kyabje Khenpo).
