Lineage Prayer for Accomplishing the Guru

ཨེ་མ་ཧོ༔

emaho

E ma ho!

བདེ་ཆེན་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ཞིང་ཁམས་ནས༔

dechen chökü zhingkham né

From the blissful pure land of dharmakāya,

འགག་མེད་ལོངས་སྐུའི་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་ངོམས༔

gakmé longkü gyutrul ngom

Displays the magic of unceasing saṃbhogakāya,

ཐུགས་རྗེའི་རོལ་རྩལ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ༔

tukjé roltsal trulpé ku

And the nirmāṇakāyas that are the energy of compassion's play:

སློབ་དཔོན་པདྨ་སཾ་བྷ་ཝ༔

lobpön pema sam bhava

Ācārya Padmasambhava

གྲུབ་པའི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཐང་སྟོང་རྒྱལ༔

drubpé wangchuk tangtong gyal

And the lord of siddhas, Thangtong Gyalpo.

དེ་ཡི་ཕྲིན་ལས་འཛམ་གླིང་གི༔

dé yi trinlé dzamling gi

Manifestation of their enlightened activity—

འདྲེན་པ་མཚུངས་མེད་བླ་མ་ལ༔

drenpa tsungmé lama la

Guru, incomparable guide for this world—to you I pray.

སྒོ་གསུམ་གུས་པས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས༔

go sum güpé solwa deb

I pray with my body, speech, and mind.

ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་བར་ཆད་ཞི༔

chi nang sangwé barché zhi

Relieve my outer and inner troubles;

ཉམས་དང་རྟོགས་པའི་ཡོན་ཏན་འཕེལ༔

nyam dang tokpé yönten pel

Amplify the quality of my experience and realization;

ས་ལམ་ཡོན་ཏན་ཚུལ་བཞིན་ཐོབ༔

salam yönten tsulzhin tob

And let me accomplish well the qualities of the bodhisattvas’ paths and levels.

རིང་པོར་མི་ཐོག་ད་ལྟ་ཉིད༔

ringpor mi tok danta nyi

Before too long—in fact, right now—

དོན་གཉིས་ལྷུན་གྱིས་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག༔

dön nyi lhün gyi drubpar shok

May I spontaneously accomplish my own and others' benefit.

དེ་ལྟར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་མཐུས༔  བྱིན་རླབས་འཇུག་པར་ཐེ་ཚོམ་མེད༔

There is no doubt that blessings will enter you by the power of this prayer.

ས་མ་ཡཱ༔  རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ༔  གཏེར་རྒྱ༔  སྦས་རྒྱ༔  གཏེར་རྒྱ༔

Samayā! Sealed, sealed, sealed! Sealed treasure! Sealed in secrecy! Sealed treasure!

ཨོ་རྒྱན་ཕྲིན་ལས་གླིང་པས་སོ།།
