A Prayer to the Lineage of the Single Mind Kīla Heart-Practice, Part of the 'Neck-Pouch Kīla’ (Purba Gulkhukma) Cycle

ཁྱབ་བདག་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་དང་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཆོས། །

khyabdak kuntuzang dang dorjé chö

All-pervasive lord Samantabhadra, Vajradharma,

མཚོ་སྐྱེས་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྗེ་འབངས་གྲོགས་མཆོག་གསུམ། །

tsokyé dorjé jebang drok chok sum

The Lake-Born Vajra, the king, subject and companion,¹

ལས་ཅན་བུ་དགུ་ཁྱད་པར་སྣ་ནམ་པར། །

lechen bu gu khyepar na nampar

And the nine karmic sons, especially Nanam²—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་སོལ། །

solwa deb so chi nang barché sol

To you I pray: dispel all obstacles, outer and inner!

རྒོད་ཀྱི་ལྡེམ་འཕྲུ་ལེགས་ལྡན་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ཞབས། །

gö kyi demtru lekden dorjé zhab

Gökyi Demtruchen,³ Lekden Dorje,⁴

ངག་གི་དབང་པོ་པདྨ་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྩལ། །

ngak gi wangpo pema trinlé tsal

Ngakgi Wangpo,⁵ Pema Trinlé Tsal,⁶

ལས་རབ་གླིང་དང་པདྨ་དབང་ཆེན་ལ། །

lerab ling dang pema wangchen la

Lerab Lingpa⁷ and Pema Wangchen⁸—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་སོལ། །

solwa deb so chi nang barché sol

To you I pray: dispel all obstacles, outer and inner!

ཁྲོ་བོའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་འཇིགས་མཛད་ཀུ་མཱ་ར། །

trowö gyalpo jik dzé ku ma ra

King of the wrathful, fearsome Vajrakumāra,

ཁྲོ་བཅུ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་ཟ་བསོད་སྒོ་མ་བཞི། །

tro chu yabyum za sö go ma zhi

Ten wrathful ones, together with your consorts, devourers, executioners, and four doorkeepers,

ཕུར་སྲུང་བཅུ་དྲུག་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཉེར་བརྒྱད་ལ། །

pursung chudruk wangchuk nyer gyé la

Sixteen kīlaya guardians and twenty-eight iśvarīs—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་སོལ། །

solwa deb so chi nang barché sol

To you I pray: dispel all obstacles, outer and inner!

ཕྱི་དཀྱིལ་མཚན་མ་རྫས་ཀྱི་ཕུར་པར་ཤར། །

chi kyil tsenma dzé kyi purpar shar

May the outer maṇḍala arise in the symbolic material kīla,

ནང་དཀྱིལ་རྩ་ཁམས་ལྷ་ཡི་རྣམ་པར་སད། །

nang kyil tsa kham lha yi nampar sé

The inner maṇḍala be awakened as the deities of channels and elements,

གསང་དཀྱིལ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་ཀྱི་རྩལ་རྫོགས་ཏེ། །

sang kyil changchub sem kyi tsal dzok té

The strength of bodhicitta be perfected as the secret maṇḍala,

ཡང་གསང་ཐིག་ལེའི་རིག་པ་མངོན་གྱུར་ཤོག །

yangsang tiklé rigpa ngöngyur shok

And may we actualize the innermost secret awareness sphere!

ཅེས་སྤྲུལ་པའི་གཏེར་སྟོན་ལས་རབ་གླིང་པའི་ཡང་སྤྲུལ་རིག་འཛིན་འཇིགས་མེད་ཕུན་ཚོགས་འབྱུང་གནས་ཞལ་སྔ་ནས་ཀྱི་དག་སྣང་ཕུར་པ་མགུལ་ཁུག་མའི་བརྒྱུད་འདེབས་ཤིག་འབྲི་དགོས་ཞེས་བསྐུལ་མ་ཇི་ལྟར་གནང་བ་ལྟར་ལས་སྨོན་འབྲེལ་བའི་ཤཱཀྱའི་དགེ་སློང་བསྟན་འཛིན་རྒྱ་མཚོས། བོད་ལྕགས་རྟ་ཟླ་བ་ ༦ ཚེས་ ༡ ་ཕྱི་ལོ་ ༡༩༩༠ ཟླ་ ༧ ་ཚེས་ ༢༣ ་ལ་བྲིས་པ་དགེ་ལེགས་འཕེལ།། །།

In accordance with the request of Rigdzin Jigme Phuntsok Jungne, the incarnation of the emanated treasure-revealer Lerab Lingpa, who said that he needed a lineage prayer for his pure vision, the Neck Pouch Vajrakīlaya, I, Tendzin Gyatso, a bhikṣu follower of Śākyamuni, who has a connection through karma and aspirations, wrote this on the first day of the sixth month of the Iron Horse year (23 July 1990). May virtue and goodness increase!
