Andrés Peña Ramírez was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He studied Philosophy at the National University, where he also encountered the Dharma for the first time. He now studies and practices Buddhism under the guidance of Adzom Gyalse Tulku Rinpoche and Terton Lama Hyolmo.
