Digital Tibetan Tools

Three conversion tools that first appeared on the Digital Tibetan website and are now conveniently available here too.

A bidirectional online converter between the Extended Wylie Transcription Scheme (EWTS), based on the system first created by the American scholar Turrell V. Wylie (1927–1984), and Tibetan Unicode script.
A Tibetan-Unicode-to-phonetics converter that provides the pronunciation for a passage of Tibetan text, according to a number of phonetic transcription systems, including our own Lotsawa House system and THL Simplified Phonemic Transcription.
A converter between the Tibetan Phugpa calendar and equivalent dates in the Gregorian calendar used in modern Europe, North America and many other countries. The tool also identifies special days for practitioners according to the Tibetan calendar.
