གང་ཞིག་ཐོབ་ན་སྐྱེ་བའི་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མཐར་འབྱིན་ཅིང་། །
བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་གི་ས་བོན་དགེ་བའང་འདེབས་བྱེད་པ། །
ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་བས་ཀྱང་ཡོན་ཏན་ཆེས་ལྷག་པའི། །
མི་ཉིད་དེ་ནི་འབྲས་བུ་མེད་པར་སུ་ཞིག་བྱེད། །

Having found this state, we can escape the ocean of rebirth
And sow the virtuous seeds of supreme awakening.
This human life is more valuable even than a wishing-gem—
Who could let it go to waste and fail to bear its fruit?

Verse 63

བདེར་གཤེགས་ལམ་བརྟེན་འགྲོ་བ་འདྲེན་པར་ཆས་གྱུར་ཅིང་། །
སེམས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་ཆེན་མི་ཡིས་རྙེད་པ་གང་ཡིན་པ། །
ལམ་དེ་ལྷ་དང་ཀླུ་ཡིས་རྙེད་མིན་ལྷ་མིན་དང་། །
མཁའ་ལྡིང་རིག་འཛིན་མི་འམ་ཅི་དང་ལྟོ་འཕྱེས་མིན། །

The path followed and taught by the Buddha in order to guide the world
Is within the reach of human beings with strength of heart,
But cannot be attained by the gods, nāgas,
Asuras, garuḍas, vidyādharas, kiṃnaras or uragas.

Verse 64

ཉེ་དུ་འཁོར་བའི་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཁོངས་སུ་ཆུད་གྱུར་པ། །
ཀློང་གི་ནང་དུ་ལྷུང་བ་ལྟ་བུར་སྣང་བཞིན་དུ། །
སྐྱེ་ཤི་འཕོས་པས་ངོ་མ་ཤེས་པ་དེ་བོར་ནས། །
གལ་ཏེ་གཅིག་ཐར་བྱེད་ན་དེ་ལས་ཁྲེལ་བོར་མེད། །

To see our dear ones submerged in saṃsāra's ocean,
As if they had fallen into a swirling pool,
But failing to recognise them after birth and death, to then abandon them,
Only to escape alone—what could be more shameless?
