ཆོས་རྣམས་རང་བཞིན་མེད་པར་ཡོངས་སུ་ཤེས་གྱུར་པ། །
འདི་ནི་ཤེས་རབ་ཕ་རོལ་ཕྱིན་མཆོག་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡིན། །

Thoroughly comprehending the absence of true reality in all phenomena—
This is the activity of the supreme transcendent perfection of wisdom.

སྦྱིན་པ་སྦྱིན་པའི་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་བ་ཤེས་རབ་སྟེ། །
ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བཟོད་པ་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་བསམ་གཏན་དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །
དགེ་ཆོས་ཆུད་མི་གསན་ཕྱིར་ཡོངས་སུ་འཛིན་པ་ཡིན། །

That which comes before generosity is wisdom,
Which similarly precedes discipline, patience, diligence and meditation.
It preserves virtuous dharmas, ensuring they do not go to waste.

དམུས་ལོང་དམིགས་བུ་མེད་པ་བྱེ་བ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་རྣམས། །
ལམ་ཡང་མི་ཤེས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་འཇུག་པར་ག་ལ་འགྱུར། །
ཤེས་རབ་མེད་ན་མིག་མེད་ཕ་རོལ་ཕྱིན་ལྔ་ཡང༌། །
དམིགས་བུ་མེད་པས་བྱང་ཆུབ་རེག་པར་འགྱུར་མ་ཡིན། །

How could a multitude of blind folk, who lack a guide
And who do not know the way, ever find the city?
Likewise, without wisdom, the five pāramitās are blind
And, without their guide, will not reach awakening.

རྒྱུ་རྣམ་བཞི་ཡིས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་མཁས་སྟོབས་ལྡན། །
བདུད་བཞིས་ཐུབ་པར་དཀའ་ཞིང་བསྐྱོད་པར་མི་ནུས་ཏེ། །
སྟོང་པར་གནས་དང་སེམས་ཅན་ཡོངས་སུ་མི་གཏོང་དང༌། །
ཇི་སྐད་སྨྲས་བཞིན་བྱེད་དང་བདེ་གཤེགས་བྱིན་བརླབས་ཅན། །

Through four causes, the bodhisattvas who are skilful and strong
Prove difficult to defeat and immune to the four māras:
They abdide in emptiness, never forsake ordinary beings,
Act according to their words, and possess the buddhas' blessings.
