ལ་ལ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཉེས་པར་སྤྱོད་དེས་ཡོད། །
ལ་ལ་དཀར་པོའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཅོམ། །
ལ་ལ་ཐར་པ་ཆ་མཐུན་དགེ་བ་མེད། །
དཀར་པོ་དམན་པ་ཡོད་པ་རྒྱུ་དང་བྲལ། །

Some commit only harmful deeds,
Some have destroyed all positive tendencies,
Some lack any virtue conducive to liberation,
Some have feeble virtue, and others lack the cause.

Chapter 4, verse 11

སྦྱིན་པ་མི་མཐུན་ཕྱོགས་ཉམས་དང་། །
རྣམ་པར་མི་རྟོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྡན། །
འདོད་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་བྱེད། །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམ་སྨིན་བྱེད་རྣམ་གསུམ། །

When factors incompatible with generosity have declined,
And one possesses wisdom that is non-conceptual,
All that one wishes for can be fully brought about—
These are the three aspects of bringing beings to maturity.

Chapter 17, verse 8

བཤེས་གཉེན་དུལ་བ་ཞི་ཞིང་ཉེར་ཞི་བ། །
ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷག་པ་བརྩོན་བཅས་ལུང་གིས་ཕྱུག །
དེ་ཉིད་རབ་ཏུ་རྟོགས་པ་སྨྲ་མཁས་ལྡན། །
བརྩེ་བའི་བདག་ཉིད་སྐྱོ་བ་སྤངས་ལ་བསྟེན། །

Follow a spiritual teacher who is disciplined, peaceful, utterly serene,
Endowed with special qualities, diligent, rich in scriptural learning,
Highly realized concerning the nature of reality, skilled in speaking,
The embodiment of love, and indefatigable.

Chapter 17, verse 10

བརྟན་པའི་ཚངས་པ་མི་མཐུན་སྤངས། །
རྣམ་པར་མི་རྟོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྡན། །
དམིགས་པ་རྣམ་པ་གསུམ་ལ་འཇུག །
སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ནི་ཡོངས་སྨིན་བྱེད། །

Bodhisattvas have abandoned factors incompatible with the four immeasurables,[1]
Posess the wisdom that is non-conceptual,
Engage with the three objects of focus,
And bring beings to full maturity.
