Daily Drolö Practice

སྐད་ཅིག་རང་ཉིད་ཁྲག་འཐུང་གྲོ་བོ་ལོད། །

In an instant I am the heruka Drowolö:

དམར་ནག་ཁྲོས་འཁྲུགས་ཨམ་གཙིགས་ཧཱུྃ་སྒྲ་སྒྲོགས། །

marnak trö truk amtsik hung dra drok

Dark red, ferocious, chewing his lower lip and proclaiming "Hūṃ!

རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕུར་གདེངས་ལྕགས་སྡིག་ཁྲ་ཐབས་འགྱེད། །

dorjé pur deng chakdik tra tab gyé

He brandishes vajra and kīla, and dispatches iron scorpions and hybrid deities.

གསང་ཕོད་ཆོས་གོས་སག་ལྷམ་མགོ་ཕྲེང་སྤྲས། །

sang pö chögö sak lham go treng tré

He wears a secret gown, dharma robes, boots, and a garland of severed heads.

པད་ཉི་རྒྱལ་བསེན་སྟག་མོ་གྲུས་མའི་སྟེང༌། །

pé nyi gyal sen takmo drümé teng

Upon a lotus and sun disc, as well as gyalpo and senmo, he is poised

འགྱིང་སྟབས་བསྐལ་མེ་འབར་བའི་ཀློང་དུ་རོལ། །

gying tab kalmé barwé long du rol

Upon a maternal tigress,¹ amidst an expanse of blazing apocalyptic fire.

ཐུགས་ཀའི་ཧཱུྃ་དམར་འོད་ཟེར་འཕྲོ་འདུ་ཡིས། །

tukké hung mar özer trodu yi

From the red hūṃ at his heart, rays of light emanate and reconverge,

འཁོར་འདས་སྲོག་ལ་དབང་བསྒྱུར་མཐུ་ཐོབ་བསམ། །

khordé sok la wanggyur tu tob gyur

Bringing the power to control the life-force of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa.

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་གྲོ་བོ་ལོད་ལོ་ཀ་སརྦ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ།

om ah hung benza guru drowolö loka sarva siddhi hung hung

oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru drowolö loka sarva siddhi hūṃ hūṃ

ཞེས་པའང་འཁྲུལ་ཞིག་གི་ངོར་ཛྙཱ་ནས་སོ།། །།
