Timothy Hinkle spent three years studying at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute at the encouragement of his teacher, Khentrul Lodrö T’hayé Rinpoche. He has served as an oral interpreter for Katog Choling USA and has translated for 84000, Light of Berotsana, and currently the Namchak Foundation.
In addition to his translation work, Timothy maintains a somatic therapy practice in Mill Valley, California. His work integrates contemplative practice with body-centered psychotherapy, helping people gently unwind deeply conditioned patterns that may not be accessible through conceptual understanding alone. Drawing from approaches such as Hakomi, conscious touch, and carefully supported work with expanded states of consciousness, he supports clients in cultivating greater freedom, resilience, and embodiment, both in daily life and on the contemplative path.
