བསླང་བའི་མཐའ་ནི་འགྱེལ་བར་འགྱུར། །
ཕྲད་པའི་མཐའ་ན་བྲལ་བ་སྟེ། །
གསོན་པའི་མཐའ་ནི་འཆི་བར་འགྱུར། །

All that is gathered will disperse.
What has risen will ultimately fall.
The end of meeting is separation.
Whoever lives will ultimately die.

Chapter 1, verse 22

འཇིག་རྟེན་པ་ཡི་ཡང་དག་ལྟ། །
ཆེན་པོ་སུ་ལ་ཡོད་གྱུར་པ། །
དེ་ནི་ཚེ་རབས་སྟོང་དུ་ཡང་། །
ངན་འགྲོར་འགྲོ་བར་མི་འགྱུར་རོ། །

Any great one, whoever they might be,
Who holds the correct worldly view
Will not travel to the lower realms
For a thousand of their future lives.

Chapter 4, verse 9.

དགེ་བ་ཆུང་བྱས་བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱི། །
ཕྱི་བཞིན་མི་འོང་མ་སེམས་ཤིག །
ཆུ་ཡི་ཐིགས་པ་ལྷུང་བ་ཡིས། །
བུམ་ཆེན་གང་བ་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ། །
ཅུང་ཟད་ཅུང་ཟད་བསགས་པ་ཡི། །
དགེ་བས་བརྟན་པ་གང་བར་འགྱུར། །

Do not disregard small positive acts,
Thinking they are not worthwhile.
Just as even tiny drops of water
Will eventually fill a large container,
The accumulation of many minor deeds
Will fully endow the steadfast with virtue.

Chapter 17, verse 6.

ཐོས་པས་ཆོས་རྣམས་རྣམ་པར་ཤེས། །
ཐོས་པས་སྡིག་ལས་ལྡོག་པར་འགྱུར། །
ཐོས་པས་དོན་མེད་སྤོང༌བར་བྱེད། །
ཐོས་པས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་ཐོབ། །

Through study, we come to understand dharmas.
Through study, we turn away from misdeeds.
Through study, we give up what is meaningless.
Through study, we reach the state beyond sorrow.

Chapter 22, verse 4

སྡིག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་མི་བྱ་སྟེ། །
དགེ་བ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པར་བྱ། །
རང་གི་སེམས་ནི་ཡོངས་སུ་གདུལ། །
འདི་ནི་སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་པ་ཡིན། །

Commit not a single unwholesome action,
Cultivate a wealth of virtue,
Tame completely this mind of ours—
This is the teaching of the buddhas.[1]

Chapter 28, verse 1

ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྔོན་དུ་ཡིད་འགྲོ་སྟེ། །
ཡིད་མགྱོགས་ཡིད་ནི་གཙོ་བོ་ཡིན། །

Mind precedes all dharmas;
Mind is swift; mind is paramount.

Chapter 31, verse 25
