བླ་མ་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

Guru, watch over me!

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་འདུས་ཀྱི་ངོ་བོ། །

sangye kündü kyi ngowo

Essence and embodiment of all the buddhas,

རྗེ་བཙུན་མཁྱེན་པའི་གཏེར་ཆེན། །

jetsün khyenpé terchen

Venerable lord, great treasury of wisdom,

འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན༵་རྩེའི༵་དབ༵ང་པོ༵ས། །

jamyang khyentsé wangpö

Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo,

མི་མངོན་དབྱིངས་ནས་གཟིགས་ཤིག །

mi ngön ying né zik shik

Look upon me from the invisible sphere.

དེ་ཡི་ཡེ་ཤེས་རང་གཟུགས། །

dé yi yeshe rang zuk

Embodiment of his pristine wisdom,

གསུང་རབ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་གཏེར་ཆེན། །

sung rab chö kyi terchen

Great treasury of excellent Dharma speech,

འཇམ་མགོན་ཆོས༵་ཀྱི༵་བློ༵་གྲོས༵། །

jam gön chökyi lodrö

Jamgön Chökyi Lodrö,

ཁྱེད་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ། །

khyé la solwa deb so

To you I pray.

ཐུགས་རྗེའི་བརྩེ་བས་དགོངས་མཛོད། །

tukjé tsewé gong dzö

Consider me with your loving compassion.

བདག་རྒྱུད་ཆོས་དང་འདྲེས་ཤིང་། །

dak gyü chö dang dré shing

Cause my character to blend with the Dharma.

ཉམས་ལེན་མཐའ་རུ་ཕྱིན་པར། །

nyamlen ta ru chinpar

Inspire me with your blessings, O venerable lord,

རྗེ་བཙུན་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་རློབས། །

jetsün khyé kyi jin lob

That I may continue my practice to completion.

སྐྱིད་སྡུག་ལེགས་ཉེས་ཅི་བྱུང་། །

kyiduk leknyé chi jung

No matter what arises, happiness or sorrow, good or bad,

བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་རང་མཁྱེན་ནོ། །

lama khyerang khyen no

O guru, watch over me!

ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་སོ། །ཤུ་བྷཾ།། །།
