བླ་མ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།

Homage to the Guru!

 

མཆོག་གསུམ་གྲུབ་ཐོབ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལ།  །

chok sum drubtob gyatso la

In the ocean of Three Jewels and mahāsiddhas

བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་དུ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི།  །

changchub bardu kyab su chi

I take refuge until awakening.

འགྲོ་ཀུན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་བྱའི་ཕྱིར།   །

dro kün sangye tob jé chir

So that all beings may attain buddhahood,

བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་ཏུ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ།         །

changchub chok tu semkyé do

I arouse supreme bodhi-heart.

 

རང་སྣང་རྣམ་དག་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཞིང་།   །

rangnang namdak gyalwé zhing

In this buddha realm of pure self-perception,

ངོ་མཚར་བཀོད་པ་བསམ་མི་ཁྱབ།   །

ngotsar köpa sam mikhyab

Its wondrous design surpassing thought,

ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་ལྔའི་གཞལ་ཡས་ཁང་།  །

yeshe ö ngé zhalyé khang

Is a celestial palace made of the five wisdom lights

འདོད་ཡོན་མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་ཕུང་འཁྲིགས།   །

döyön chöpé trinpung trik

And a mass of offering-clouds of sensory delights.

 

རྟོག་མེད་པད་ཉི་རོ་གདན་སྟེང་།  །

tokmé pé nyi roden teng

Upon a lotus, sun, and corpse seat of non-conceptuality

རང་ལུས་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྣལ་འབྱོར་མ།    །

rang lü dorjé naljorma

I stand in the form of Vajrayoginī,

ཆགས་མེད་པདྨ་རཱ་གའི་མདངས།  །

chakmé pema ragé dang

Free of attachment – the colour of a lotus ruby,

ཐབས་ཤེས་དབྱེར་མེད་གྲི་ཐོད་འཛིན།   །

tabshé yermé dri tö dzin

Means and insight indivisible – holding a knife and skull,

ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྒྱན་རྫོགས་བདེ་དྲོད་འབར།  །

longchö gyen dzok dé drö bar

Replete with the sambhogakāya ornaments, ablaze with blissful warmth.

 

མདུན་མཁར་འོད་ལྔ་འཁྲིགས་པའི་དབུས།  །

dün khar ö nga trikpé ü

In the space before me, amid an expanse of five-coloured light,

སེངྒེ་གླང་ཆེན་རྟ་དང་ཁྱུང་།  །

sengé langchen ta dang khyung

Are thrones held up by lions, elephants, horses,

ནམ་མཁའ་ལྡིང་གི་ཁྲི་ཆེན་ལ།  །

namkha ding gi tri chen la

Garuḍas, and eagles, upon which rest

ཉི་ཟླ་པདྨ་རིན་པོ་ཆེར།   །

nyida pema rinpocher

Sun and moon discs and lotuses of jewels.

 

འདིར་སོ་སོའི་ལྷ་བསྐྱེད་བཙུད།  དེ་ནས།

Insert here the relevant deity visualisation. Then continue:

 

མངོན་སུམ་ལྟ་བུར་གསལ་བ་ལ།  །

ngönsum tabur salwa la

They are all vividly present before me,

སྣང་ལ་རང་བཞིན་མ་གྲུབ་པའི།  །

nang la rangzhin madrubpé

Appearing yet without true existence.

གནས་གསུམ་ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ་གིས་མཚན།  །

né sum om ah hung gi tsen

Their three places are marked with the syllables oṃ āḥ hūṃ,

འོད་འཕྲོས་རང་བཞིན་ཞིང་ཁམས་ནས།   །

ö trö rangzhin zhingkham né

Which radiate lights that invite from the natural pure realm

རང་འདྲ་སྤྱན་དྲངས་དབྱེར་མེད་གྱུར།

rang dra chendrang yermé gyur

Wisdom beings resembling the visualisation who become inseparable from them.

 

ཨོཾ།  ཁྱབ་བདག་དངོས་པོ་ཀུན་གྱི་རང་བཞིན་ནི།  །

om, khyabdak ngöpo kün gyi rangzhin ni

Oṃ. The All-pervasive Sovereign, the nature of all things,

གནས་མེད་འགྲོ་འོང་བྲལ་བ་ནམ་མཁའ་བཞིན།   །

nemé dro ong dralwa namkha zhin

Is like the sky, non-abiding, beyond coming and going.

ཆུ་ཟླ་བཞིན་དུ་གར་དམིགས་དེར་སྣང་བ།   །

chuda zhindu gar mik der nangwa

Like a reflection of the moon in water, wherever there is intention there you appear.

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་གནས་འདིར་སྣང་བར་མཛོད།   །

palden lama né dir nangwar dzö

So Glorious Guru, make yourself manifest here before me!

ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ

om benza sa ma dza

oṃ vajra samājaḥ

 

རིན་ཆེན་སེང་ཁྲི་དར་ཟབ་དང་།  །

rinchen sengtri darzab dang

Upon this supreme lion-throne of jewels, heavenly silks,

ཉི་ཟླ་པདྨའི་གདན་མཆོག་ལ།  །

nyida pemé den chok la

Sun disc, moon disc, and lotus flower,

བདག་གཞན་འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་མཛད་ཕྱིར།  །

dakzhen drowé dön dzé chir

So that my own and all others’ goals may be fulfilled,

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་བཞུགས་སུ་གསོལ།  །

palden lama zhuk su sol

Glorious Guru, please take a seat!

 

ལུས་ཀྱིས་གུས་པའི་བརྐྱང་ཕྱག་འཚལ།  །

lü kyi güpé kyang chaktsal

I pay homage with my body through full prostrations,

ངག་གིས་དད་པའི་བསྟོད་ཕྱག་འཚལ།   །

ngak gi depé tö chaktsal

Pay homage with my speech through inspired praise,

ཡིད་ཀྱིས་བརྩེ་གཅིག་མོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ།  །

yi kyi tsé chik mö chaktsal

Pay homage with my mind through wholehearted devotion—

ཕྱག་འཚལ་དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་ལའོ།  །

chaktsal palden lama la o

Glorious Guru, I pay homage to you!

བདག་སོགས་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀུན།   །

dak sok semchen tamché kün

May the obscurations of my own three gates

སྒོ་གསུམ་སྒྲིབ་པ་དག་པར་ཤོག   །

go sum dribpa dakpar shok

And those of all other beings be purified!

 

སྐུ་གསུམ་སྐུ་ལྔའི་བདག་ཉིད་ཆེ།   །

ku sum ku ngé daknyi ché

Sovereign of the three kāyas and five kāyas—

བླ་མའི་སྐུ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད།  །

lamé ku la chaktsal tö

To the Guru’s wisdom form I render homage and praise!

 

ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཐེག་དགུའི་ཆོས་ཀྱི་མཛོད།   །

zabgyé tek gü chö kyi dzö

Treasury of the profound and vast Dharma of the nine yānas—

བླ་མའི་གསུང་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད།   །

lamé sung la chaktsal tö

To the Guru’s wisdom speech I render homage and praise!

 

ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྔ་དང་ལྡན།   །

künkhyen yeshe nga dangden

Omniscience endowed with the five wisdoms—

བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད།   །

lamé tuk la chaktsal tö

To the Guru’s wisdom heart I render homage and praise!

 

བྲལ་སྨིན་དྲུག་བཅུ་རྩ་བཞི་མངའ།   །

dral mindruk chu tsa zhi nga

Replete with the sixty-four virtues of separation and ripening—

བླ་མའི་ཡོན་གཏན་ཚོགས་ལ་བསྟོད།   །

lamé yön ten tsok la tö

To the Guru’s wisdom qualities I render homage and praise!

 

མཁའ་མཉམ་འཁོར་བ་དོང་ནས་སྤྲུགས།   །

khanyam khorwa dong né truk

Dredging the depths of saṃsāra for all beings throughout space—

བླ་མའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཚོགས་ལ་བསྟོད།   །

lamé trinlé tsok la tö

To the Guru’s wisdom deeds I render homage and praise!

 

སྟོང་ཁམས་ཕྱི་ཡི་མནྜལ་དང་།   །

tong kham chi yi mandel dang

The outer maṇḍala of the three-thousandfold realm,

ཕུང་ཁམས་ནང་གི་མནྜལ་དང་།   །

pung kham nang gi mandel dang

The inner maṇḍala of the aggregates and elements,

རིགས་ཁམས་གསང་བའི་མནྜལ་རྣམས།   །

rik kham sangwé mandel nam

And the secret maṇḍala of the innate disposition—

འབུལ་ལོ་བླ་མ་རྗེ་ལ་འབུལ།   །

bul lo lama jé la bul

I offer these up to the Guru! I offer them all!

བཞེས་ནས་བདག་རྒྱུད་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།   །

zhé né dak gyü jingyi lob

Please accept them, and bestow your blessings on me.

འགྲོ་རྣམས་ཚོགས་ཆེན་རྫོགས་པར་ཤོག   །

dro nam tsokchen dzokpar shok

May all beings complete the two great accumulations!

 

སྣང་སེམས་འདྲེས་པའི་ཕྱི་མཆོད་དང་།  །

nang sem drepé chi chö dang

The outer offering of appearances and mind combined,

གཙང་རྨེ་དག་པའི་ནང་མཆོད་དང་།  །

tsangmé dakpé nang chö dang

The inner offering of all notions of dirty and clean purified,

ཟུང་འཇུག་གཉིས་མེད་གསང་མཆོད་རྣམས།  །

zungjuk nyimé sangchö nam

The secret offering of union, non-duality—

རྗེ་བཙུན་བླ་མ་རྣམས་ལ་འབུལ།   །

jetsün lama nam la bul

I present these offerings to the venerable gurus.

བཞེས་ནས་བདག་གཞན་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།   །

zhé né dakzhen jingyi lob

Please accept them, and bestow your blessings on myself and all beings.

ཚོགས་གཉིས་བྲེ་ཁ་གང་བར་ཤོག   །

tsok nyi dré khagangwar shok

May the scales of the two accumulations be filled!

 

བཀྲ་ཤིས་རྫས་རྟགས་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་བདུན།   །

tashi dzé tak gyalsi dün

The auspicious substances and signs, the seven royal possessions,

བཅུ་དྲུག་ལྷ་མོའི་རོལ་གར་བསྒྱུར།   །

chudruk lhamö rol gar gyur

A revel of the sixteen goddesses in song and dance,

འཁོར་འདས་བཀོད་པ་ཅིར་ཡར་སྣང་།     །

khordé köpa chir yar nang

The entire display of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa in all its guises—

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མའི་ཚོགས་ལ་འབུལ།   །

palden lamé tsok la bul

All of this I offer to the gathering of glorious gurus!

བཞེས་ནས་སྣང་སྲིད་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།   །

zhé né nangsi jingyi lob

Please accept it, and bestow your blessings on everything.

ཉམས་རྟོགས་རྩལ་ཁ་རྒྱས་པར་ཤོག   །

nyamtok tsal kha gyepar shok

May the strength of experience and realisation expand!

 

ཐོག་མེད་དུས་ནས་ད་ལྟའི་བར།  །

tokmé dü né danté bar

Throughout time without beginning until now,

མ་རིག་དབང་གིས་བསགས་པ་ཡི།   །

marik wang gi sakpa yi

Under the sway of ignorance we have engaged

མི་དགེ་བཅུ་དང་མཚམས་མེད་ལྔ།    །

mi gé chu dang tsammé nga

In the ten non-virtues, the five inexpiable acts,

རང་བཞིན་ཁ་ན་མ་ཐོ་དང་།  །

rangzhin khana mato dang

We have performed naturally harmful acts,

སྡོམ་གསུམ་འགལ་ཉམས་འདས་རལ་གྱི།    །

dom sum gal nyam dé ral gyi

We have transgressed, damaged, violated, and broken the three vows

བཅས་པའི་ཁ་ན་མ་ཐོ་རྣམས།   །

chepé khana mato nam

And so accumulated proscribed negativities—

རྗེ་བཙུན་བླ་མའི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བཤགས།  །

jetsün lamé chen ngar shak

All this I confess before the venerable gurus!

སྒྲིབ་ཚོགས་མ་ལུས་བྱང་ནས་སུ།   །

drib tsok malü jang né su

May our entire mass of obscurations be cleansed

ས་ལམ་བར་ཆད་མེད་པར་ཤོག  །

salam barché mepar shok

So we may traverse the stages and paths without obstacles!

 

སོ་སོའི་སྐྱེ་བོས་བསགས་པ་ཡི།   །

sosö kyewö sakpa yi

In all the tainted virtue

ཟག་བཅས་དགེ་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རངས་།    །

zakché gé la jé yirang

Accrued by ordinary beings I rejoice.

འཕགས་པའི་ཚོགས་ཀྱིས་བསགས་པ་ཡི།   །

pakpé tsok kyi sakpa yi

In all the untainted virtue

ཟག་མེད་དགེ་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་།   །

zakmé gé la jé yi rang

Accrued by the nobles ones I rejoice.

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་དམ་པ་ཡི།   །

palden lama dampa yi

In the sublime life examples

རྣམ་ཐར་ཀུན་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་།   །

namtar kün la jé yi rang

Of the glorious gurus I rejoice.

མ་བྱས་བསགས་པའི་དགེ་བ་དེས།    །

ma jé sakpé gewa dé

Through the virtue thus gathered though not performed,

ཚོགས་གཉིས་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ།   །

tsok nyi bemé lhün gyi drub

May the two accumulations be effortlessly fulfilled

ས་ལམ་མྱུར་དུ་རྫོགས་པར་ཤོག   །

salam nyurdu dzokpar shok

And may the stages and paths be swiftly perfected!

 

གདུལ་བྱའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི།    །

duljé semchen tamché kyi

For all sentient beings in need of influence,

རང་རང་དབང་པོ་མཚམས་པ་ཡི།   །

rang rangwang po tsampa yi

Please, in accord with their individual faculties,

ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་དེ།   །

zabgyé chö kyi khorlo dé

Turn the wheel of profound and vast Dharma

རྒྱུན་ཆད་མེད་པར་བསྐོར་དུ་གསོལ།   །

gyünché mepar kor du sol

Unceasingly, I beseech you!

རྨོངས་པའི་དྲྭ་བ་ཀུན་བཅད་དེ།   །

mongpé drawa kün ché dé

May the web of delusion be cut through,

ཡེ་ཤེས་སྣང་བ་རྒྱས་པར་ཤོག   །

yeshe nangwa gyepar shok

So the light of wisdom may shine forth!

 

ངོ་བོ་རྟག་པ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ།   །

ngowo takpa chö kyi ku

Eternal essence, dharmakāya;

རྒྱུན་གྱི་རྟག་པ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས།   །

gyün gyi takpa longchö dzok

Eternal adornment, sambhogakāya;

ཆད་མེད་རྟག་པ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ།    །

chemé takpa trulpé ku

Eternal manifestation, nirmāṇakāya—

སྐུ་གསུམ་ཚུལ་སྟོན་བླ་མ་རྣམས།   །

ku sum tsul tön lama nam

All you gurus who display the three kāyas,

མྱ་ངན་འདའ་ཚུལ་མི་སྟོན་པར།   །

nya ngen da tsul mi tönpar

I beseech you! Do not display parinirvāṇa

རྟག་བརྟན་འགྱུར་མེད་གཡུང་དྲུང་གི   །

takten gyurmé yungdrung gi

But lasting, stable, and immutable as the swastika,

ངོ་བོར་དུས་ཀུན་བཞུགས་ནས་སུ།    །

ngowor dü kün zhuk né su

Remain forever, throughout all of time,

གདུལ་བྱར་གྱུར་ཀུན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི།   །

duljar gyur kün sangye kyi

And so swiftly establish all beings, your disciples,

ས་ལ་མྱུར་དུ་འགོད་པར་ཤོག   །

sa la nyurdu göpar shok

At the state of buddhahood!

 

བདག་གཞན་འགྲོ་བ་མ་ལུས་པའི།   །

dakzhen drowa malüpé

Whatever virtue I and all others

ཟག་བཅས་ཟག་མེད་ཟུང་འཇུག་གི   །

zakché zakmé zungjuk gi

Have gathered throughout past, present, and future,

དུས་གསུམ་དགེ་ཚོགས་ཅི་བསགས་པ།   །

dü sum gé tsok chi sakpa

Be it tainted, untainted, or through unity,

འགྲོ་རྣམས་བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི།  །

dro nam lama sangye kyi

I dedicate so all beings may attain

གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་ཕྱིར་བསྔོ་བར་བྱ།   །

gopang tob chir ngowar ja

The state of the awakened gurus!

 

བདག་སོགས་ཚེ་རབས་གར་སྐྱེས་ཀྱང་།   །

dak sok tserab gar kyé kyang

Wherever we are born in our future lives,

བླ་མ་རྣམས་དང་མི་འབྲལ་ཞིང་།   །

lama nam dang mindral zhing

May we never be apart from the gurus.

གདམས་ཟབ་བདུད་རྩི་ལོངས་སྤྱད་ནས།  །

dam zab dütsi long ché né

May we partake of the nectar of the profound instructions,

རྗེ་དང་དགོངས་པ་མཉམ་ནས་སུ།   །

jé dang gongpa nyam né su

So our realisation becomes equal to the Sovereign Guru’s

ཕྲིན་ལས་མཐའ་དག་སྒྲུབ་པར་ཤོག  །

trinlé tadak drubpar shok

And we can thus fulfil all their wisdom activities!

 

ཁྱབ་བདག་བླ་མའི་གནས་བཞིའི་ས་བོན་ལས།   །

khyabdak lamé nezhi sabön lé

From the seed-syllables in the four places of the Sovereign Guru,

འོད་འཕྲོས་སྲས་བཅས་རྒྱལ་བའི་བྱིན་རླབས་བསྡུས།   །

ö trö sé ché gyalwé jinlab dü

Light streams out and gathers the blessings of all buddhas and bodhisattvas.

སླར་ཡང་རང་ཐིམ་དབང་དང་དངོས་གྲུབ་ཐོབ།   །

lar yang rang tim wang dang ngödrub tob

This light then dissolves into me, and I attain the empowerments and siddhis,

སྒྲིབ་བྲལ་སྐུ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར།   །

dribdral ku dang yeshe ngön du gyur

Am freed of all obscurations, and actualise the kāyas and wisdoms.

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།

om ah hung soha

oṃ āḥ hūṃ svāhā

ཞེས་སྤྱི་སྔགས་དང་སོ་སོའི་མཚན་སྔགས་ཀྱང་བཟླ།

Say that, and then recite the general mantra as well as the respective name-mantras.

 

རྗེ་མར་པ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།   །

jé marpa chökyi lodrö la solwa deb

To Lord Marpa, Chökyi Lodrö, I pray!

རྗེ་མི་ལ་བཞེད་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།    །

jé mi la zhepa dorjé la solwa deb

To Lord Mila, Shepa Dorjé, I pray!

རྗེ་དྭགས་པོ་ཟླ་འོད་གཞོན་ནུ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།

jé dakpo da ö zhönnu la solwa deb

To Lord Gampopa, Da’ö Shönnu, I pray!

སྐབས་ཐོབ་སོ་སོར་བརྗོད།   སྤྱིར་བཏང་དུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་ཐུང་མ་དང་ཀར་མཁྱེན་འདོན།     །བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།   སོགས་བརྗོད་དོ།   །

From among these, recite the relevant line of supplication. Also recite Invoking the Blessings of the Kagyü Lineage—‘Dorjechang Thungma’¹ and ‘Karmapa Khyenno’. Then recite:

 

བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

lama rinpoche la solwa deb

To the precious guru, I pray:

བདག་འཛིན་བློ་ཡི་ཐོངས་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

dakdzin lo yi tongwar jingyi lob

Inspire me to abandon this attitude of self-clinging.

དགོས་མེད་རྒྱུད་ལ་སྐྱེ་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

gömé gyü la kyewar jingyi lob

Inspire me to develop renunciation in my being.

ཆོས་མིན་རྣམ་རྟོག་འགགས་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

chö min namtok gakpar jingyi lob

Inspire me to put an end to non-dharmic thoughts.

རང་སེམས་སྐྱེ་མེད་རྟོགས་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

rangsem kyemé tokpar jingyi lob

Inspire me to realize how my own mind is unborn.

འཁྲུལ་པ་རང་སར་ཞི་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

trulpa rang sar zhiwar jingyi lob

Inspire me to pacify delusion in its own place.

སྣང་སྲིད་ཆོས་སྐུར་འཆར་བར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

nangsi chökur charwar jingyi lob

Inspire me so that appearance and existence dawn as dharmakāya.

 

ཚོགས་ཡོད་ན།

If you are making a gathering-offering, say:

རང་གཞོན་མཛེས་ལང་ཚོ་ལྟ་ན་སྡུག   །

rang zhön dzé langtso ta na duk

My body is in the prime of beauty and youth, captivating to behold.

ལུས་ཚོ་བསྣུམ་ཆེ་བརྗིད་བཀྲག་མདངས་ལྡན།    །

lü tso num ché ji trakdang den

It is glowing and smooth, radiating splendor and majesty.

མདུན་རང་བྱུང་ཐོད་སྒྱེད་གསུམ་སྟེང་དུ།    །

dün rangjung tögyé sum tengdu

Before me is a self-arisen hearth of three skulls

རང་ཐོད་པ་ཀག་གིས་འཕར་བ་བཙུག    །

rang töpa kak gi parwa tsuk

Upon which I place my own skull, suddenly detached from my neck.

དེའི་ནང་དུ་རང་ལུས་ལྟེམ་གྱིས་ཞུ།    །

dé nang du rang lü tem gyi zhu

Inside it I arrange my own body, instantly melted down.

སྙིགས་མ་དག་ལྦུ་བའི་ཚུལ་དུ་ལུད།   །

nyikma dak buwé tsul du lü

All its impurities flow away in the form of froth,

ཟེར་རླང་པ་འཁོར་འདས་དྭངས་བཅུད་ཀུན།   །

zer langpa khordé dangchü kün

While vapours rise from it, drawing in the essence of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa

སྔགས་འབྲུ་གསུམ་ཆར་ལྟར་བབས་ནས་ཐིམ།   །

ngak dru sumchar tar bab né tim

That pour down as the three syllables of mantra and dissolve into it.

རྫས་དཀར་མངར་ཤ་ལྔ་བདུད་རྩི་ལྔ།   །

dzé kar ngar sha nga dütsi nga

Thus it becomes the white and sweet substances, the five meats and five amṛtas,

ལྷ་མཆོད་སྒྲུབ་བརྟེན་བསྐང་དགྱེས་པའི་ཚོགས།   །

lha chö drub ten kang gyepé tsok

Divine offerings, supports for accomplishment, fulfilment substances, a mass of delights,

གནས་སྟོང་ཁམས་མ་ལུས་གང་བར་གྱུར།  །

né tong kham malü gangwar gyur

All so plentiful that they fill the entire three-thousandfold realm.

སེམས་རྣམ་ཤེས་མཆོད་པའི་ལྷ་མོའི་ཚོགས།  །

sem namshé chöpé lhamö tsok

An assembly of offering goddesses born from consciousness,

མདོག་དཀར་སེར་དམར་ལྗང་མཐིང་ནག་ཁྲ།   །

dok kar ser mar jang tingnak tra

White, yellow, red, green, dark blue, and multicoloured,

གྲངས་ཉི་ཟེར་རྡུལ་ལྟར་འཁྲིགས་པ་དེས།  །

drang nyizer dul tar trikpa dé

As numerous as dust particles in sunbeams flock around

གནས་མཆོད་ཡུལ་ཀུན་ལ་སོ་སོར་མཆོད།  །

né chöyul kün la sosor chö

And present the offerings to each of the guests, the recipients.

 

ཕ་བཀའ་བརྒྱུད་གྲུབ་ཐོབ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་དང་།  །

pa kagyü drubtob gyatso dang

Kagyü forefathers, ocean of mahāsiddhas,

ལྷ་རྩ་གསུམ་རབ་འབྱམས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལ།  །

lha tsa sum rabjam gyatso la

Infinite deities of the thirty-two maṇḍalas,

ཚོགས་ཟག་མེད་བདུད་རྩི་མཆོད་སྤྲིན་འབུལ།   །

tsok zakmé dütsi chötrin bul

I present this offering cloud, a mass of undefiled amṛta.

དབང་བྱིན་རླབས་དངོས་གྲུབ་མ་ལུས་སྩོལ།  །

wang jinlab ngödrub malü tsol

Bestow all empowerments, blessings, and siddhis!

རྐྱེན་བར་ཆད་ལྷག་མེད་དབྱིངས་སུ་ཞི།  །

kyen barché lhakmé ying su zhi

Pacify all adversities and obstacles into basic space!

ཚེ་གཅིག་ལ་སངས་རྒྱས་འགྲུབ་པར་མཛོད།  །

tsé chik la sangye drubpar dzö

Help us reach awakening in this very life!

 

སྐྱབས་མཆོག་གསུམ་ཀུན་འདུས་བླ་མ་དང་།   །

kyab chok sum kündü lama dang

Gurus embodying all the Three Jewels, our objects of refuge,

ལྷ་ཡི་དམ་རྒྱུད་སྡེ་བཞི་དྲུག་དང་།  །

lha yidam gyüdé zhi druk dang

Yidam deities of the four and six classes of tantra,

མ་གནས་གསུམ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་ཆོས་སྐྱོང་དང་།  །

ma né sum khandro chökyong dang

Ḍākinīs of the three sacred locales, Dharma protectors,

ཡུལ་སྣང་སྲིད་ལྷ་འདྲེ་ཆེ་ཕྲ་དང་།  །

yulnang si lha dré ché tra dang

Major and minor gods and demons of the apparent world,

གནས་འགྲོ་དྲུག་བར་དོའི་ཡིད་ལུས་དང། །

né dro drukwar dö yi lü dang

Sentient beings of the six types, bardo beings with mental bodies,

སྔོན་ཚེ་རབས་མང་པོའི་ལན་ཆགས་རྣམས།  །

ngöntsé rab mangpö lenchak nam

Those to whom I owe karmic debts from previous lives—

དེ་ཀུན་ཀྱང་བླ་མའི་རོལ་པར་ཤར།  །

dé kün kyang lamé rolpar shar

They all dawn as the Guru’s display.

ད་འཁོར་འདས་རོ་མཉམ་མགྲོན་རིགས་ལ།  །

da khordé ronyam drön rik la

Now saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are of equal taste, so all you guests,

ཐུགས་གང་ལ་གང་བཞེད་དེ་ལ་དེར།  །

tuk gang la gang zhé dé la der

Partake of whatever you wish, whatever appeals to you,

དུས་གཅིག་ལ་འཆར་བས་ཐུགས་དམ་བསྐང་།  །

dü chik la charwé tukdam kang

Such that your heart-wishes may be instantaneously fulfilled!

 

རྗེ་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་དང་འགལ་བ་སོགས།  །

jé lamé tuk dang galwa sok

Whatever transgressions of the Lord Guru’s intent,

སྡིག་ཉམས་ཆགས་ཉེས་ལྟུང་དག་པ་དང་།  །

dik nyamchak nyetung dakpa dang

Whatever misdeeds, downfalls, and failings I’ve committed,

རྒྱུ་ཚོགས་གཉིས་རྫོགས་ནས་སྒྲིབ་གཉིས་བྱང་།  །

gyu tsok nyi dzok né drib nyi jang

Through this may the cause, the two accumulations, be perfected, and the two obscurations be purified.

ཉམས་རྟོགས་པའི་རྩལ་ཆེན་མྱུར་དུ་རྫོགས།  །

nyamtok pé tsal chen nyurdu dzok

May the great strength of experience and realisation be swiftly perfected.

ལམ་ལྔ་བགྲོད་ས་བཅུ་ཐོབ་པ་ལ།  །

lam nga drö sa chu tobpa la

May we traverse the five paths and attain the ten stages.

གེགས་གོལ་ཤོར་ནམ་ཡང་མི་འབྱུང་ཞིང་།  །

gek gol shor namyang minjung zhing

May we never fall prey to obstructions, deviations, or sidetracks.

འབྲས་དོན་གཉིས་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་སྐུ་གཉིས་ཐོབ།  །

dré dön nyi lhündrub ku nyi tob

May we attain the fruition that fulfils the two goals, the naturally-present two kāyas!

ཚེ་གཅིག་ལ་མངོན་སངས་རྒྱས་པར་ཤོག  །

tsé chik la ngön sangyé par shok

May we actualise full awakening within this very life!

ཚོགས་ལ་རོལ་ནས།

Then partake of the gathering-offering, and afterwards say:

 

རྗེ་བླ་མའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྤྲུལ་པའི་ཚོགས།  །

jé lamé trinlé trulpé tsok

The gathering of emanations who are the Lord Guru’s activity –

མགོན་མ་ཧཱ་ཀ་ལ་དུད་སོལ་མ།  །

gön mahakala düsolma

Protectors Mahākāla, Düsolma,

དཔལ་རང་བྱུང་རེ་ཏི་སྤྱང་ཞོན་མ།  །

pal rangjung ré ti chang zhön ma

Self-Arisen Reti Riding a Jackal,

ཞིང་སྐྱོང་བའི་ལྷ་སྨན་ཚེ་རིང་མཆེད།  །

zhingkyong bé lha men tsering ché

Realm-protector deities, the Tseringma Sisters,

མ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་གིང་ལང་ཕོ་ཉའི་ཚོགས།  །

ma khandro ging lang ponyé tsok

Mother ḍākinīs, gings, langkas, and emissaries—

གནས་མུ་རན་སྐྱོང་བའི་ལྷག་མགྲོན་ལ།  །

né mu ren kyongwé lhak drön la

All you recipients of the residuals, you who guard the boundaries,

ཚོགས་ལྷག་མ་འདོད་ཡོན་མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན།  །

tsoklhak ma döyön chöpé trin

I present you with these offering clouds of sense delights, this residual gathering,

རྫས་ཟག་མེད་བདུད་རྩི་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེ།  །

dzé zakmé dütsi gyatso ché

This array of substances – oceans of untainted amṛta,

གཞན་ཤ་རི་ཁྲག་མཚོ་རུས་པའི་གྲམ།  །

zhen sha ri trak tso rüpé dram

Mountains of flesh, lakes of blood, great banks of bones.

འདི་བཞེས་ལ་ལས་བཞིའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྒྲུབ།  །

di zhé la lé zhi trinlé drub

Enjoy it all and enact the four activities!

རྐྱེན་ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་མི་འབྱུང་ཞིང་།  །

kyen chi nang barché minjung zhing

Forestall all outer and inner obstacles and adversities!

སེམས་ཉམས་རྟོགས་འཕེལ་བའི་སྡོང་གྲོགས་མཛོད།  །

sem nyamtok pelwé dongdrok dzö

Help us increase our inner experience and realisation!

 

མདུན་གྱི་བླ་མའི་ལྷ་ཚོགས་རྣམས།  །

dün gyi lamé lhatsok nam

The entire host of gurus and deities present before me

འོད་དུ་ཞུ་ནས་རང་ལ་ཐིམ། །

ö du zhu né rang la tim

Melts into light and dissolves into me.

ཐུགས་ཡིད་གཅིག་འདྲེས་ངང་ལ་བཞག  །

tuk yi chik dré ngang la zhak

Their wisdom heart and my own mind merge, and I rest within this state

འདི་བྱ་འདི་བྱེད་གཏད་སོ་བྲལ།  །

dija di jé teso dral

With nothing to do and no doer, free of all focus,

མ་བཅོས་རང་བབས་ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེ།  །

machö rangbab chakgya ché

Unmodified natural presence—the great seal.

 

བདག་གཞན་འགྲོ་བ་མ་ལུས་པའི།  །

dakzhen drowa malüpé

All the virtue gathered throughout the three times

ཟག་བཅས་ཟག་མེད་ཟུང་འཇུག་གི  །

zakché zakmé zungjuk gi

By myself and all other beings,

དུས་གསུམ་དགེ་ཚོགས་ཅི་བསགས་པ།  །

dü sum gé tsok chi sakpa

Tainted, untainted, or their unity,

འགྲོ་རྣམས་བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི།  །

dro nam lama sangye kyi

I dedicate so that all beings

གོ་འཕང་ཐོབ་ཕྱིར་བསྔོ་བར་བྱ།  །

gopang tob chir ngowar ja

May attain the state of the guru-buddhas!

 

བདག་སོགས་ཚེ་རབས་གར་སྐྱེས་ཀྱང་།  །

dak sok tserab gar kyé kyang

Wherever we are born in our future lives,

བླ་མ་རྣམས་དང་མི་འབྲལ་ཞིང་།  །

lama nam dang mindral zhing

May we never be apart from the gurus.

གདམས་ཟབ་བདུད་རྩི་ལོངས་སྤྱད་ནས།  །

dam zab dütsi long ché né

May we partake of the nectar of the profound instructions,

རྗེ་དང་དགོངས་པ་མཉམ་ནས་སུ།  །

jé dang gongpa nyam né su

So our realisation becomes equal to the Sovereign Guru’s

ཕྲིན་ལས་མཐའ་དག་སྒྲུབ་པར་ཤོག  །

trinlé tadak drubpar shok

And we can thus fulfil all their wisdom activities!

 

སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་ཀརྨ་ཀཾ་ཚང་གི  །

drubgyü karma kam tsang gi

May the teachings of the Karma Kamtsang Practice Lineage

བསྟན་པས་ས་ཆེན་ཁྱབ་པ་དང་།  །

tenpé sa chen khyabpa dang

Spread throughout the entire world,

བསྟན་སྒོར་ཞུགས་པའི་གང་ཟག་རྣམས།  །

ten gor zhukpé gangzak nam

And may all those who enter into these teachings

གྲུབ་པ་ཐོབ་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག   །

drubpa tobpé tashi shok

Attain accomplishment. Thus may auspicious abound!

 

ཅེས་པ་འདིའང་པདྨ་ཕྲིན་ལས་སྙིང་པོའམ་ཀརྨ་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཆོས་གླིང་གི་རི་ཁྲོད་དུ་སྦྱར་བའོ།  །འགྲོ་རྣམས་བླ་མས་རྗེས་སུ་འཛིན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག   །
