Lama Yangtik Prayer

༄༅། །བླ་མ་ཡང་ཏིག་གི་གསོལ་འདེབས།

Prayer from the Lama Yangtik

བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ། །

lama sangye rinpoche

O lama, precious and enlightened one,

བདག་ལ་རེ་ས་གཞན་ན་མེད། །

dak la resa zhen namé

We have no one else to rely on but you.

ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྤྱན་གྱིས་གཟིགས་མཛོད་ལ། །

tukjé chen gyi zik dzö la

Look upon us with eyes of compassion

འཁོར་བའི་མཚོ་ལས་བསྒྲལ་དུ་གསོལ། །

khorwé tso lé dral du sol

And free us from this ocean of saṃsāra.

 

ཚེ་འདིའི་ལེགས་པ་ཀུན་འགྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །

tsé di lekpa kün drub ching

Help us to accomplish all that is good in life,

བགེགས་དང་བར་ཆད་མེད་པ་དང༌། །

gek dang barché mepa dang

And avoid all that would hinder and obstruct us,

འཆི་ཁར་ཟབ་མོའི་འོད་གསལ་ཟིན། །

chikhar zabmö ösal zin

Point out profound luminosity at the moment of death,

བར་དོའི་འཕྲང་ལས་སྒྲོལ་བར་མཛོད། །

bardö trang lé drolwar dzö

And liberate us from the perils of the bardo states.

 

ལུས་དང་ངག་ཡིད་རྩོམ་པ་ཀུན། །

lü dang ngak yi tsompa kün

Ensure that all that we do with body, speech and mind

རྟག་ཏུ་གཞན་ལ་ཕན་པ་དང༌། །

taktu zhen la penpa dang

Always brings about benefit for others.

རྐྱེན་རྣམས་བྱང་ཆུབ་ལམ་མཆོག་ཏུ། །

kyen nam changchub lam chok tu

And from this day forward, transform all adversity

དེ་རིང་ཉིད་ནས་བསྒྱུར་དུ་གསོལ། །

dering nyi né gyur du sol

Into the supreme path of enlightenment.

 

བདག་གིས་འབད་ཀྱང་ཐར་བར་དཀའ། །

dak gi bé kyang tarwar ka

In spite of our exertions, liberation is hard to find.

མགོན་པོ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་གྲུས། །

gönpo khyé kyi tukjé drü

O protector, on the ship of your compassion

མགོན་མེད་བདག་དང་འགྲོ་བ་ཀུན། །

gönmé dak dang drowa kün

Carry us along with all who lack protection,

ཐར་པའི་གླིང་དུ་ཕྱིན་པར་མཛོད། །

tarpé ling du chinpar dzö

And lead us to the island of liberation.

 

གང་དག་བདག་ལ་དད་གྱུར་ཏམ། །

gangdak dak la dé gyur tam

May all those who have faith in me

སྨོད་དམ་སྐུར་པ་འདེབས་ཀྱང་རུང༌། །

mö dam kurpa deb kyang rung

And all who slander and abuse me

དེ་དག་སྡིག་ཟད་ཉོན་མོངས་མེད། །

dedak dik zé nyönmong mé

Be freed from evil and without afflictions,

སྲིད་པའི་ཆུ་བོ་སྤངས་པར་ཤོག །

sipé chuwo pangpar shok

And may they leave the rivers of existence.

 

ནམ་ཞིག་བདག་གིས་མིང་ཙམ་གྱིས། །

namzhik dak gi ming tsam gyi

In time, may my very name be enough

འགྲོ་བའི་འདོད་དགུ་རབ་འགྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །

drowé dögu rab drub ching

To fulfil the wishes of the world,

ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་གང་བའི་ཞིང་རྣམས་སུ། །

chok chu gangwé zhing nam su

And bring down rains of offering clouds

མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་གྱི་ཆར་འབེབས་ཤོག །

chöpé trin gyi charbeb shok

In all the buddha realms of the ten directions.

 

དགེ་བ་འདི་ཡིས་ལུས་ཅན་ཀུན། །

gewa di yi lüchen kün

Through this virtue, may all beings

ཐམས་ཅད་སྲིད་ལས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་ནས། །

tamché si lé namdrol né

Be liberated from saṃsāric existence

ཡེ་ཤེས་དམ་པ་གཉིས་ཐོབ་སྟེ། །

yeshe dampa nyi tob té

And, gaining the two sacred forms of wisdom,

དོན་གཉིས་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་མཛོད། །

dön nyi lhün gyi drubpar dzö

Spontaneously benefit both themselves and others.

 

ཅེས་བླ་མའི་རིམ་པ་དངོས་གྲུབ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལས་བཏུས་སོ།།
