སྐུ་ལུས་དག་ནི་གསེར་གྱི་མདོག་འདྲ་བས། །
འཇིག་རྟེན་མགོན་པོ་ཀུན་ནས་རབ་ཏུ་མཛེས། །
དམིགས་པ་འདི་ལ་གང་གི་སེམས་འཇུག་པ། །
བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་དེ་ནི་མཉམ་བཞག་ཡིན། །

His pure body the colour of gold,
Beautiful is the Protector of the World.
Whoever visualises him like this,
Practises the meditation of the bodhisattvas.

ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྒོ་བྱ་ཁོང་དུ་ཆུད་པར་བྱ། །
ཇི་ལྟར་མིདག་མིང་དུ་རྟོག་བྱེད་པ། །
དེ་ལ་གནས་པའི་རྟོག་པ་དེ་དག་གིས། །
དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ནི་དེ་ལ་སེམས་གཞོལ་འགྱུར། །

This I will tell you, so please understand:
Whatever names people apply to things,
Thoughts will conceive of them as such,
And mind will engage with them accordingly.

སྒྱུ་མ་བྱེད་པ་དག་གི་གཟུགས་སྤྲུལ་ཏེ། །
རྟ་དང་གླང་པོ་ཤིང་རྟ་སྣ་ཚོགས་བྱས། །
དེ་ལ་ཇི་ལྟར་སྣང་བ་གང་ཡང་མེད། །
ཆོས་རྣམས་ཐམས་ཅད་དེ་བཞིན་ཤེས་པར་གྱིས། །

Just as a magician makes illusions
Of horses, oxen, carts and other things,
Nothing whatsoever is as it appears—
Know all things to be like this.

ཇི་ལྟར་བུ་མོ་གཞོན་ནུའི་རྨི་ལམ་ན། །
བུ་ཕོ་བྱུང་ཞིང་ཤི་བ་དེ་མཐོང་ན། །
བྱུང་ནས་དགའ་ཞིང་ཤི་ནས་མི་དགའ་ལྟར། །
ཆོས་རྣམས་ཐམས་ཅད་དེ་བཞིན་ཤེས་པར་གྱིས། །

If, in her dream, a young girl
Has a baby boy who later dies,
She feels joy at first, then grief—
Know all things to be like this.

ཡོད་དང་མེད་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་གཉི་ག་མཐའ། །
གཙང་དང་མི་གཙང་འདི་ཡང་མཐའ་ཡིན་ཏེ། །
དེ་ཕྱིར་གཉིས་ཀའི་མཐའ་ནི་རྣམ་སྤངས་ནས། །
མཁས་པ་དབུས་ལའང་གནས་པར་ཡོང་མི་བྱེད། །

Existence and non-existence are extremes;
Purity and impurity are extremes as well,
Thus, having relinquished both extremes,
The wise do not dwell even in the middle.

སེམས་ནི་རྒྱ་ཆེན་མཆོག་ཏུ་རབ་བསྐྱེད་དེ། །
འགྲོ་བ་འདི་དག་མ་ལུས་སངས་རྒྱས་རྒྱུ། །
འདི་ན་སྣོད་མིན་སེམས་ཅན་གང་ཡང་མེད། །

Generate bodhicitta—thorough, expansive, and supreme.
For all beings possess the cause of buddhahood;
Not a single one is unsuitable as a vessel.

ཞིང་ནི་བྱེ་བ་ཁྲག་ཁྲིག་གཏམས་སྙེད་དུ། །
སྐྱེས་བུ་མཆོག་ལ་མཆོད་པ་དེ་བྱས་པས། །
སྐྱེས་མཆོག་རྣམས་ལ་ཉིན་རེ་རྟག་མཆོད་པས། །
བྱམས་པའི་སེམས་ཀྱི་གྲངས་དང་ཆར་མི་ཕོད། །

Even an offering throughout billions of realms
Consisting of gifts infinite in number and variety
Presented to great beings every day for all eternity
Could not match the wonder of a mind of love.
