Prayer to Lekpa Rinpoche

དུས་གསུམ་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྒྱུ་མའི་འཕྲུལ། །

dü sum gyalwé yeshe gyumé trul

Illusory manifestation of the wisdom of the victors of past, present and future,

བདུད་འདུལ་མཐུ་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ་ནག་པོ་ཆེ། །

düdul tuchen dorjé nakpo ché

Mighty tamer of demonic forces, Vajra Mahākāla,

དེང་འདིར་བདག་གི་མགོན་གཅིག་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྗེ། །

dengdir dak gi gön chik chö kyi jé

Appearing here and now as my sole protector, Lord of Dharma—

ངག་དབང་ལེགས་པའི་ཞབས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

ngawang lekpé zhab la solwa deb

Ngawang Lekpa, at your feet I pray.

རྗེ་བཙུན་བླ་མའི་རྣམ་པར་ཐར་པ་ལ། །

jetsün lamé nampar tarpa la

May any thought that conceives of some fault

སྐྱོན་དུ་འཛིན་པའི་རྟོག་པ་མི་སྐྱེས་ཞིང་། །

kyön du dzinpé tokpa mi kyé zhing

In the lifestyle or activity of the noble guru never arise.

ཅི་མཛད་ལེགས་པར་མཐོང་བའི་མོས་གུས་ཀྱིས། །

chi dzé lekpar tongwé mögü kyi

May I see whatever he does in a positive light, and

བྱིན་རླབས་སེམས་ལ་འཇུག་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །

jinlab sem la jukpar jingyi lob

Through such devotion, may his blessings infuse my mind.

བླ་མ་མཆོག་གསུམ་ལྷ་ཡི་བྱིན་མཐུ་དང་། །

lama chok sum lha yi jin tu dang

Through the power and blessings of the gurus, Three Jewels and deities,

དམ་ཅན་སྲུང་མ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་མཐུ་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས། །

damchen sungma gyatsö tutob kyi

And the mighty strength of an ocean of oath-bound dharma guardians,

དཔལ་མགོན་བླ་མའི་ཞབས་པད་བརྟན་པ་དང་། །

palgön lamé zhabpé tenpa dang

May the life of this glorious protector guru remain secure,

འཕྲིན་ལས་དར་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པར་མཛད་དུ་གསོལ། །

trinlé dar zhing gyepar dzé du sol

And may his enlightened activity flourish and spread.

བླ་མ་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ། །
མོས་གུས་ཐོབ་པའི་སློབ་མ་ཡིས། །
ས་ག་ཟླ་བའི་དཀར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི། །
རྒྱལ་བ་གསུམ་པར་བྲིས་པ་དགེ། །།

A student who has obtained the devotion
Of seeing the guru as a perfect buddha
Wrote this on the third 'victory' day
In the waxing phase of Saga Dawa.¹ Virtue!
