༄༅།  །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མི་འཁྲུགས་པའི་ཞིང་བཀོད་དོན་བསྡུས་ཀྱི་སྨོན་ལམ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཕྲེང་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།  །

A Concise Aspiration Towards the Buddhafield of the Blessed Akṣobhya

མངོན་དགའི་ཞིང་ན་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཤིང་དབང་དྲུང་།  །

ngöngé zhing na changchub shingwang drung

Before the mighty bodhi tree in the realm of Abhirati

མི་འཁྲུགས་རྒྱལ་བ་དཔལ་གྱིས་ལྷམ་མེར་བཞུགས།  །

mi truk gyalwa pal gyi lham mér zhuk

Sits the victorious Akṣobhya, radiant in splendour,

ཉན་ཐོས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་འཁོར་བཅས་ལ།  །

nyentö changchub sempa khor ché la

Together with his retinue of śrāvakas and bodhisattvas—

ལུས་དང་ངག་ཡིད་དྭང་བས་གུས་ཕྱག་འཚལ།  །

lü dang ngak yi dangwé gü chaktsal

To them all, with devoted inspiration of body, speech and mind, I pay homage.

 

དངོས་འབྱོར་ཡིད་སྤྲུལ་བདག་པོས་མ་བཟུང་བའི།  །

ngöjor yitrul dakpö mazungwé

Actually present and mentally created gifts, including all that is unowned,

ལྷ་མིའི་དཔལ་འབྱོར་བདེ་བའི་ཡོ་བྱད་ཀྱི།  །

lhami paljor dewé yojé kyi

The splendid riches of gods and human beings,²

མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་གྱིས་ནམ་མཁའ་གང་བྱས་ཏེ།  །

chöpé trin gyi namkha gang jé té

As great offering clouds of delightful substances that fill the whole of space—

བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པ་སྲས་དང་བཅས་རྣམས་མཆོད།  །

dewar shekpa sé dangché nam chö

All this I offer to the sugatas and their heirs.

 

ཐོག་མེད་དུས་ནས་དུས་གསུམ་གྱིས་བསགས་པའི།  །

tokmé dü né dü sum gyi sakpé

Any negative actions I have committed throughout beginningless time,

སྲིད་དང་ངན་འགྲོའི་རྒྱུར་གྱུར་མི་དགེའི་ལས།  །

si dang ngendrö gyur gyur mi gé lé

In the past, present and future, as causes for conditioned existence

གང་བསགས་འགྱོད་པས་སོ་སོར་བཤགས་པ་ནི།  །

gang sak gyöpé sosor shakpa ni

And the lower realms, I hereby confess, each and every one.

སླན་ཆད་མི་བགྱིའི་སྡོམ་ལ་གནས་པར་བགྱི།  །

lenché mi gyi dom la nepar gyi

From this moment forth, I shall refrain from committing them again.

 

འཕགས་སྐྱེའི་དགེ་ཚོགས་ཀུན་ལ་ཡི་རང་ཞིང་།  །

pak kyé gé tsok kün la yi rang zhing

I rejoice in the virtuous deeds of ordinary and noble beings.

རྒྱལ་རྣམས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་བསྐོར་བ་དང་།  །

gyal nam chö kyi khorlo korwa dang

I request the victorious ones to turn the Wheel of Dharma

མྱ་ངན་མི་འདའ་བཞུགས་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།  །

nya ngen mi da zhukpar solwa deb

And implore them never to pass into nirvāṇa.

དེ་ལྟའི་དགེ་བ་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཕྱིར་བསྔོ་བས།  །

deté gewa changchub chir ngowé

And I dedicate this merit towards awakening.

 

གང་སྨོན་འདས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་སྤྱན་ཆེན་པོར།  །

gang mön depé sangye chen chenpor

When victorious Akṣobhya generated bodhicitta

མི་འཁྲུགས་རྒྱལ་བས་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་ཅིང་།  །

mi truk gyalwé changchub tukkyé ching

In the presence of Buddha Mahācakṣu in the past,

ནམ་ཡང་ཁྲོ་བ་གནོད་སེམས་མི་འབྱུང་སོགས།  །

namyang trowa nösem minjung sok

He vowed never to be angry, malicious and so on.

སྨོན་ལམ་བརྒྱད་བཏབ་བདག་གིས་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

mönlam gyé tab dak gi drub gyur chik

May I too accomplish the eight aspirations he made.

 

གཞན་ཡང་དམ་བཅའ་ཇི་བཞིན་བགྱིད་པ་དང་།  །

zhenyang damcha jizhin gyipa dang

Moreover, may I act in accord with these vows,

གོམ་རེ་བཞིན་ཡང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཡིད་བྱེད་དང་།  །

gom rezhin yang sangye yi jé dang

By recalling the buddhas with every step I take,

ཚེ་རབས་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཁྱིམ་ནས་འབྱུང་སོགས་ཀྱི།  །

tserab küntu khyim né jung sok kyi

Always renouncing domesticity in every life,

སྒྲུབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་བཅོ་བརྒྱད་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

drubpé mönlam chobgyé drub gyur chik

And so on, the eighteen aspirations of practice.

 

དེ་བཞིན་འཁོར་བཞིའི་ཉེས་ལྟུང་མི་གླེང་དང་།  །

dezhin khor zhi nyetung mi leng dang

Similarly, may I not encourage faults among the fourfold community,

འཚང་རྒྱའི་ཞིང་དུ་ལྟུང་བའི་སྒྲ་ཙམ་ཡང་།  །

tsang gyé zhing du tungwé dra tsam yang

But ensure that even the word "downfall" remains unheard of

མི་གྲགས་དག་ཅིང་ཡོན་ཏན་ལྡན་པ་སོགས།  །

mi drak dak ching yönten denpa sok

In this realm of awakening, which is so pure and full of qualities.

ནན་ཏན་སྨོན་ལམ་བདུན་པོ་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

nenten mönlam dünpo drub gyur chik

Thus may I accomplish the seven aspirations of earnest application.

 

ཇི་ལྟར་མི་འཁྲུགས་སྤྱད་བ་སྤྱོད་ཚེ་བཞིན།  །

jitar mi truk chewa chö tsé zhin

As I carry out the activity of Akṣobhya, the Immovable,

སངས་རྒྱས་ཞིང་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཞིང་འགྲོ་ཞིང་།  །

sangye zhing né sangye zhing dro zhing

Travelling from one buddhafield to another,

དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་རྣམས་མཉེས་པར་བྱེད་པ་ལ།  །

dezhin shek nam nyepar jepa la

And delighting the tathāgatas everywhere,

སྐད་ཅིག་ཙམ་ཡང་ཐུགས་དབྱུང་མི་བགྱིད་ཤོག  །

kechik tsam yang tuk yung mi gyi shok

May I never cause even an instant of displeasure.

 

ཚེ་རབས་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཚངས་པར་སྤྱོད་པ་དང་།  །

tserab küntu tsangpar chöpa dang

In all my lives may I conduct myself purely,

ཕ་རོལ་ཕྱིན་པའི་ཆོས་ཉིད་ལས་བརྩམ་པ།  །

parol chinpé chönyi lé tsampa

And teach the nature of the perfections.

སྟོན་ཅིང་དེ་ཚེ་བདག་གི་ལུས་དང་སེམས།  །

tön ching detsé dak gi lü dang sem

As I do so may I never feel the slightest

ངལ་དང་དུབ་པ་ཅུང་ཟད་མེད་པར་ཤོག  །

ngal dang dubpa chungzé mepar shok

Physical or mental weariness or fatigue.

 

ཆོས་སྦྱིན་དེ་ཡི་དགེ་ཚོགས་ཇི་སྙེད་པས།  །

chö jin dé yi gé tsok jinyepé

Through all the merit of giving the Dharma,

རང་གི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཞིང་དེར་བྱང་སེམས་རྣམས།  །

rang gi sangye zhing der changsem nam

May the bodhisattvas in that buddhafield

ཚེ་རབ་བརྗེས་ཀྱང་དམ་ཆོས་མི་བརྗེད་ཅིང་།  །

tsé rab jé kyang damchö mi jé ching

Not forget the sacred teachings even after changing lives,

གང་དུ་སྨོན་པའི་ཞིང་དེར་སྐྱེ་བར་ཤོག  །

gangdu mönpé zhing der kyewar shok

And may they take birth in that realm just as they aspire.

 

དེ་དག་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་དང་ནི།  །

dedak dzokpé sangye nam dang ni

May I never be apart from these perfect buddhas

རྟག་ཏུ་མི་འབྲལ་གུས་པས་རབ་བསྙེན་ཅིང་།  །

taktu mindral güpé rab nyen ching

And always honour and serve them with respect.

བདུད་དང་བདུད་ཀྱི་རིགས་ཀྱི་ལྷ་དག་གིས།  །

dü dang dü kyi rik kyi lha dak gi

May the māras and gods belonging to māra’s clan

ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་ཡང་བླགས་རྙེད་མ་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

tamché du yang lak nyé magyur chik

Never come into contact with us at all.

 

ཇི་ལྟར་རང་ཉིད་དམ་ཆོས་འདོད་པ་ལྟར།  །

jitar rangnyi damchö döpa tar

Just as I seek the sacred Dharma,

སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་ཆོས་འདོད་གྱུར་པ་ལ།  །

semchen dedak chö dö gyurpa la

For other beings who seek the Dharma too,

དེ་དག་དེ་ལྟར་ཡོན་ཏན་མ་རྫོགས་པར།  །

dedak detar yönten madzokpar

As long as their qualities have not been perfected,

བདག་ཉིད་བྱང་ཆུབ་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པར་ཤོག  །

daknyi changchub chepa chöpar shok

May I carry out the activity of awakening.

 

བདག་ནི་འདི་ནས་ཤི་འཕོས་གྱུར་པའི་འོག  །

dak ni di né shi pö gyurpé ok

As soon as I die and pass beyond this life,

མངོན་པར་དགའ་བ་དག་པའི་ཞིང་ཁམས་སུ།  །

ngönpar gawa dakpé zhingkham su

May I be reborn in the pure realm of Abhirati

བཅོམ་ལྡན་མི་འཁྲུགས་རྒྱལ་བའི་དྲུང་སྐྱེས་ཏེ།  །

chomden mi truk gyalwé drung kyé té

In the presence of the victorious Akṣobhya

བྱང་ཆུབ་ལམ་གྱི་སྒྲུབ་པས་མཉེས་བྱེད་ཤོག  །

changchub lam gyi drubpé nyé jé shok

And please him by practising the path to awakening.

 

རྒྱལ་སྲས་སྤོས་ཀྱི་གླང་པོ་ལ་སོགས་པ།  །

gyalsé pö kyi langpo lasokpa

Whatever qualities are possessed by the great bodhisattvas of that realm,

ཞིང་དེའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེ་རྣམས་ཀྱི།  །

zhing dé changchub sempa ché nam kyi

Such as the victor’s heir Gandhahastin,³

ཡོན་ཏན་ཇི་སྙེད་བདག་ལའང་ལྡན་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

yönten jinyé dak la angden gyur chik

May I come to possess them all as well,

སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ཀྱི་རྟག་ཏུ་བསྔགས་མཛད་ཤོག  །

sangye nam kyi taktu ngak dzé shok

And may the buddhas always express approval.

 

ཇི་ལྟར་རྒྱལ་སྲས་དེ་དག་བཅོམ་ལྡན་དེས།  །

jitar gyalsé dedak chomden dé

Just as the victor’s heirs receive prophecies

བྱང་ཆུབ་ཆེན་པོར་མངོན་སུམ་ལུང་བསྟན་བཞིན།  །

changchub chenpor ngönsum lungten zhin

From the blessed ones foretelling their great awakening,

བདག་ཀྱང་ཕྱིར་མི་ལྡོག་པའི་ས་ཐོབ་སྟེ།  །

dak kyang chirmidokpé sa tob té

May I too reach the stage from which there is no turning back

བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་ཏུ་ལུང་བསྟན་ཐོབ་པར་ཤོག  །

changchub chok tu lungten tobpar shok

And receive a prophecy of supreme enlightenment.

 

རྒྱལ་བ་དེ་ཡི་དམ་པའི་ཆོས་འཛིན་ཅིང་།  །

gyalwa dé yidam pé chö dzin ching

May I uphold that victorious one’s sacred Dharma,

བྱང་ཆུབ་སྤྱོད་པ་ཀུན་ཏུ་སྣང་བྱས་ཏེ།  །

changchub chöpa küntu nang jé té

Continuously illuminate the conduct of awakening,

ཚོགས་གཉིས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པ་དང་།  །

tsok nyi gyatso yongsu dzokpa dang

Wholly perfect an ocean of twofold accumulation,

སེམས་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོ་རབ་ཏུ་སྨིན་བྱེད་ཤོག  །

semchen gyatso rabtu min jé shok

And bring an ocean of sentient beings to maturity.

 

མདོར་ན་མི་འཁྲུགས་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་དང་།  །

dorna mi truk gyalwé tukkyé dang

In short, may I emulate the victorious Akṣobhya,

སྤྱོད་པ་སྨོན་ལམ་ཇི་བཞིན་བདག་སྤྱོད་ཅིང་།  །

chöpa mönlam jizhin dak chö ching

The way he aroused bodhicitta, acted and made aspirations,

མངོན་དགའི་ཞིང་མཚུངས་དག་པའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་དུ།  །

ngöngé zhing tsung dakpé jikten du

And in a pure world that is the equal of Abhirati,

བཅོམ་ལྡན་དེ་འདྲའི་གོ་འཕང་མངོན་བྱེད་ཤོག  །།།

chomden dendré gopang ngön jé shok

May I reach the level of that blessed conqueror.

 

དྲི་མེད་ཞིང་སྐྱོངས་ནས་གསུངས་པའོ།།   །།

These are the words of Drimé Zhingkyong.
