༄༅། །དམར་གསུར་མདོར་བསྡུས།

Brief Red Sur

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།

om ah hung

oṃ āḥ hūṃ

ཐོག་མེད་ངར་འཛིན་བག་ཆགས་ཀྱིས། །

tokmé ngardzin bakchak kyi

Arisen from the habit of clinging to an 'I' throughout beginningless time,

དུག་ལྔ་འཁྲུགས་པའི་རང་གཟུགས་ནི། །

duk nga trukpé rang zuk ni

Which stirs up the five poisons, so that they take on various forms—

རྒྱལ་འགོང་དམ་སྲི་མོ་འདྲེ་སོགས། །

gyalgong damsi mo dré sok

The gyalgong spirits, damsi demons, female ghosts and the rest;

སྡོམ་ཤོར་དམ་ཉམས་གནོད་སེམས་ཅན། །

dom shor damnyam nösem chen

Those with broken vows and commitments and those with malice,

རྟག་ཏུ་གཞན་ལ་འཚེ་བྱེད་ཅིང་། །

taktu zhen la tsé jé ching

Who are forever doing harm to others,

རྣམ་དཀར་བསྒྲུབ་ལ་བར་དུ་གཅོད། །

namkar drub la bardu chö

Disrupting the accomplishment of wholesome acts,

བློ་བསྒྱུར་འཁོན་འཐབ་ཕུང་སྣ་འདྲེན། །

lo gyur khön tab pung na dren

Causing caprice, quarrelling and bringing ruin;

ཟས་ནོར་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་དཔལ་ལ་བརྐུ། །

zé nor longchö pal la ku

Stealing food, wealth, possessions and glory,

ཕྱི་བཞིན་འབྲང་བའི་སྒབ་འདྲེའི་རིགས། །

chizhin drangwé gab dré rik

Together with the concealed spirits who stalk and pursue—

ལན་ཆགས་མགྲོན་གྱུར་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ། །

lenchak drön gyur tamché la

To all you guests to whom I owe karmic debts,

ཤ་ཁྲག་ལ་སོགས་མཁོ་རྒུའི་རྫས། །

sha trak lasok khogü dzé

I present these substances that you crave, such as flesh and blood,

འདོད་རྒུར་འཆར་བའི་དྲི་གསུར་སྤྲིན། །

dögur charwé dri sur trin

And clouds of fragrant burnt offering which arise as all that is desirable,

ནམ་མཁའ་མཛོད་དུ་སྤྲོས་བྱས་ཏེ། །

namkha dzö du trö jé té

Increasing and expanding to become a treasury of space,

ཕམ་རྒྱལ་འཐབ་རྩོད་མེད་པར་བསྔོ། །

pam gyal tabtsö mepar ngo

And dedicated to you all beyond dispute as to loss or gain.

དགའ་མགུ་ཡི་རངས་ཚིམས་གྱུར་ནས། །

gagu yirang tsim gyur né

As you are enlivened and satisfied with every possible delight,

བུ་ལོན་ལན་ཆགས་ཤ་འཁོན་བྱང་། །

bulön lenchak shakhön jang

May all my dues, karmic debts and bonds of vengeance be purified.

རྒྱུད་ལ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། །

gyü la changchub sem kyé té

May the spirit of awakening arise within your minds,

ཐར་པའི་བདེ་བ་ཐོབ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

tarpé dewa tob gyur chik

And may you discover the bliss of liberation.

བདེན་གཉིས་བསླུ་བ་མེད་པའི་མཐུས། །

den nyi luwa mepé tü

Through the force of the unfailing two truths,

སྨོན་ལམ་ཡོངས་སུ་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

mönlam yongsu drubpar shok

May these prayers of aspiration be perfectly fulfilled!

ཅེས་དང་ཆོས་སྦྱིན་བསྔོ་བ་སོགས་བྱའོ།།

Give the gift of dharma, perform the dedication and so on.

ཞེས་པའང་འཁྲུལ་ཞིག་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ངོར་འཇིགས་བྲལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེས་སོ།། །།
