ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི། །

om swasti

Oṃ svasti.

འཕོ་བྲལ་བདེ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ནི། །

podrel dewa chenpö yeshe ni

The wisdom of great bliss, which is beyond transference,

མི་ཤིགས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ལང་ཚོས་སྒེག་པའི་སྐུར། །

mishik dorjé langtsö gekpé kur

Arises fully as an enchanting form of indestructible vajra youth—

ཡོངས་ཤར་འཕགས་མ་ཡིད་བཞིན་འཁོར་ལོ་ཡིས། །

yongshar pakma yishyhin khorlo yi

Tārā, noble Wish-Fulfilling Wheel,

དེང་འདིར་འཆི་མེད་རྟག་པའི་བྱིན་ཆེན་ཕོབ། །

dengdir chimé takpé jinchen pob

Shower down great blessings of everlasting immortality, here and now!

འཇིག་རྟེན་དབང་ཕྱུག་དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀ༵རྨ༵་པའི། །

jigten wangchuk palden karma pé

The wondrous aspiration of the glorious Karmapa, Lord of the World,

རྨད་བྱུང་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་བས༵མ་གཏན༵་ལྗོན་པའི་ཀླུང༌། །

mejung tukkye samten jönpé lung

Is like a verdant valley, a forest of meditative concentration,

མཛེས་བྱེད་གཞན་ཕན་དཔག་བསམ་ཡོང༵ས་འདུ༵འི་དབང༌། །

dzejé shenpen paksam yongdü wang

Beautified by this wish-granting tree that benefits others—

མཚུངས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

tsungmé gyalwé nyugu zhapten söl

Incomparable scion of the buddhas, may your life remain secure.

ལུང་རྟོགས་མདོ་སྔགས་ཆོ༵ས་ཚུལ་པདྨའི་ཚལ། །

lungtok do ngak chö tsül pemé tsal

The lotus garden of the Dharma of transmission and realization, sūtra and mantra,

བཤད་སྒྲུབ་འོད་ཀྱི༵་སྣང་བས་འབྱེད་མཛད་པ། །

shedrup ö kyi nangwé jedzé pa

Flourishes through the brilliant light of teaching and practice—

མཆོག་གསང་ངེས་དོན་བསྟན་པའི་ཉི༵་མ༵་ཆེ། །

choksang ngedön tenpé nyima ché

Great sun of the supreme secret and definitive meaning,

ལྟ་ངན་མུན་པའི་གཤེད་དུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

ta ngen münpey shé du zhapten söl

To banish the darkness of wrong views, may your life remain secure.

འབྲེལ་བཅས་ཐར་ལམ་འདྲེན་པའི་ཕྲི༵ན་ལ༵ས་རྒྱུན། །

drelché tarlam drenpé trinlé gyün

The stream of your activity, leading all whom you encounter onto the path of liberation,

ནམ་ཡང་མི་ཆད་ཡངས་པའི་ས་ཀུན༵་ཁྱབ༵། །

nam yang miché yangpé sa kün khyab

Is forever unceasing and pervades throughout the entire earth.

རིས་སུ་མ་མཆིས་བསྟན་དང་འགྲོ་བ་ཡི། །

risu machi tendang drowa yi

As a noble defender of the teachings and of beings,

དཔུང་གཉེན་དམ་པ་ཉིད་དུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

pung nyen dampa nyidu zhapten söl

Without partiality or bias, may your life remain secure.

འདྲེན་མཆོག་སྐྱེས་བུའི་ཞབས་པད་བསྐལ་བརྒྱར་བརྟན། །

drenchok kyebu zhabpé kalgyar ten

May the life of this supreme guide remain secure for a hundred aeons,

ངེས་དོན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབྱངས་སྙན་ཕྱོགས་མཐར་སྒྲོགས། །

ngedön chökyi yangnyen choktar drok

May the Dharma melody of the definitive meaning resound unto the very limits of the world,

སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་རིང་ལུགས་སྟོན་གྱི་འབྲས་བཞིན་སྨིན། །

drubgyü ringluk töngyi dré zhin min

May the tradition of the practice lineage ripen like crops in autumn,

དགེ་ལེགས་རྫོགས་ལྡན་བཞད་པའི་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཤོག།

gelek dzokden zhepé trashi shok

And may all be auspicious for the blossoming of a perfect age of virtue and goodness.

ཅེས་སྒར་བླ་སྐུ་ཕྲེང་བདུན་པའི་བརྟན་བཞུགས་སུ་འཇིགས་བྲལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེས་ཀུན་དགའི་ལོ་སྨིན་ཟླའི་ཡར་ངོ་བཟང་པོ་གསུམ་པའི་དུས་དགེ་བར་འདུན་སྨོན་དུ་སྤེལ་བ་སིདྡྷི་རསྟུ།།

This prayer for the long life of the seventh in the line of Gar Lamas was written as an aspiration by Jikdral Yeshe Dorje on the third excellent day of the waxing phase of the Ripening (ninth) month in the male wood tiger year (1974). Siddhirastu!
