༄༅། །ཡུམ་ཆེན་བསྒོམ་བཟླས་མདོར་བསྡུས་ནི།

A Brief Visualization and Recitation of the Great Mother Prajñāpāramitā

སྐྱབས་སེམས་སྔོན་འགྲོས།

Having taken refuge and generated bodhicitta as a preliminary:

ཨཱཿ སྣང་སྲིད་དག་པའི་ཞིང་ཆེན་པོའི། །

ah, nangsi dakpé zhing chenpö

Āḥ. All that appears and exists is an immense pure realm,

དབུས་སུ་པདྨ་ཟླ་བའི་སྟེང་། །

ü su pema dawé teng

In the centre of which, upon a lotus and moon,

ཡུམ་ཆེན་ཤེར་ཕྱིན་གསེར་གྱི་མདོག །

yumchen sherchin ser gyi dok

Is the Great Mother Prajñāpāramitā, gold in colour,

ཞལ་གཅིག་ཕྱག་བཞི་དང་པོ་གཉིས། །

zhal chik chak zhi dangpo nyi

With one face and four hands—with which she holds

གཡས་པ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཡོན་པུ་སྟི། །

yepa dorjé yön puti

A vajra in the first right hand and a book in the first left,

ཐ་མ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་མཉམ་བཞག་མཛད། །

tama nyi kyi nyamzhak dzé

While the remaining two rest in the gesture of equanimity.

དར་དང་རིན་ཆེན་རྒྱན་གྱིས་མཛེས། །

dar dang rinchen gyen gyi dzé

She is adorned with the silk and jewel ornaments

རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐྱིལ་མོ་ཀྲུང་གིས་བཞུགས། །

dorjé kyilmo trung gi zhuk

And sits with legs crossed in the vajra posture.

གནས་གསུམ་འབྲུ་གསུམ་ཐུགས་དབུས་སུ། །

né sum dru sum tuk ü su

Her three centres are marked with the three syllables

པད་ཟླར་ཐུགས་སྲོག་ཨཱཿཡིས་མཚན། །

pé dar tuk sok ah yi tsen

And in her heart centre, upon a lotus and moon is an Āḥ,

དེ་མཐར་སྔགས་ཀྱི་ཕྲེང་བས་བསྐོར། །

dé tar ngak kyi trengwé kor

Surrounded by the rotating mantra garland,

འོད་འཕྲོས་དོན་གཉིས་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བསམ། །

ö trö dön nyi drubpar gyur

From which light radiates out to accomplish twofold benefit.

གཱ་ཏེ་བཟླས།

Recite the Gaté mantra:

ཏདྱ་ཐཱ། ཨོཾ་ག་ཏེ་ག་ཏེ་པཱ་ར་ག་ཏེ། པཱ་ར་སཾ་ག་ཏེ། བོ་དྷི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།

teyata | om gaté gaté para gaté | para samgaté | bodhi soha

tadyathā | oṃ gate gate pāragate | pārasaṃgate | bodhi svāhā

བསྙེན་པ་བྱེད་ན་འབུམ་བཞི་བཟླ། །

When practising approach recite this four hundred thousand times.

རྗེས་ལ།

At the end:

ལྷར་སྣང་འོད་གསལ་ངང་ལ་བཞག །

lhar nang ösal ngang la zhak

The deity appearance dissolves and I rest in a state of clear light.

དགེ་བསྔོ་སྨོན་ལམ་བྱའོ། །

Dedicate the virtue and recite prayers of aspiration.

ཅེས་པའང་གླེ་དགོན་ཕུར་རྒྱལ་བསྐུལ་ངོར་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་སོ།། །།
