༄༅། །ཆོས་སྐྱོང་རྣམས་ལ་ཕྲིན་ལས་བཅོལ་བ།

Entrusting Activity to the Dharmapālas

རྒྱལ་བ་ཤཱཀྱ་སེང་གེའི་བསྟན་པ་དང་།  །

gyalwa shakya sengé tenpa dang

Cause the teachings of the victorious Lion of the Śākyas

མཁན་སློབ་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་ལོ་པཎ་ནི།  །

khen lob chögyal trulpé lo pen ni

And sūtras and mantras introduced through the aspirations and efforts

གསར་རྙིང་རིམ་པར་བྱོན་པའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས།  །

sar nying rimpar jönpé tsok nam kyi

Of the Abbot, Master and Dharma-King, as well as the hosts

ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་དཀའ་བས་དྲངས་པའི་མདོ་སྔགས་རྣམས།  །

tukkyé kawé drangpé do ngak nam

Of emanated translators and scholars of Old and New traditions

བཤད་དང་སྒྲུབ་པས་དར་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པར་མཛོད།  །

shé dang drubpé dar zhing gyepar dzö

To flourish and spread through teaching and through practice.

 

རང་བཞིན་ཡོངས་སུ་དག་པའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ལ།  །

rangzhin yongsu dakpé chö nam la

Dispel the darkness of errancy in those obscured by their mistaken views

ཕྲག་དོག་ལོག་པར་ལྟ་བས་སྒྲིབ་པ་རྣམས།  །

trakdok lokpar tawé dribpa nam

And envy towards the wholly and naturally pure teachings,

ཞི་བས་འདུལ་འོས་ལོག་མུན་སེལ་བ་དང་།  །

zhiwé dul ö lok münsel ba dang

Who deserve to be tamed by peaceful means;

ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཆོས་ལ་ཡིད་ཆེས་སྐྱེ་བར་མཛོད།  །

zabgyé chö la yiché kyewar dzö

Inspire them with confidence in the Dharma that is profound and vast.

 

གང་ཞིག་ཕྱོགས་ལྷུང་གདོན་གྱིས་ཀུན་དཀྲིས་ནས།  །

gangzhik choklhung dön gyi küntri né

Cause those who are ensnared by the demon of extremism,

སྙིང་ནས་སྨོད་པའི་བསྟན་པའི་དགྲར་གྱུར་རྣམས།  །

nying né möpé tenpé drar gyur nam

Enemies of the teachings, who are zealously disdainful,

འབར་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཚོན་གྱིས་བསྒྲལ་ནས་ཀྱང་།  །

barwa chenpö tsön gyi dral né kyang

To be liberated by the weapons of the Great Blazing One

རྔམས་པའི་ཞལ་དུ་བསྟབ་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད།  །

ngampé zhal du tabpé trinlé dzö

And then proffered to the mouths of the Fearsome.

 

བསྟན་པ་སྨོད་དང་སྐྱེ་འགྲོའི་བདེ་སྐྱིད་དཔལ།  །

tenpa mö dang kyendrö dekyi pal

Cause the power and influence of those who disparage the teachings

འཕྲོག་བྱེད་ཕྱི་ནང་ཀླ་ཀློའི་སྡེ་རིས་ཚོགས།  །

trok jé chinang lalö dé ri tsok

And who plunder beings’ happiness and glories,

བ་མོས་རེག་པའི་མེ་ཏོག་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ།  །

ba mö rekpé metok jizhin du

The barbarian hordes within and without,

ཆབ་སྲིད་དབང་ཐང་བསྣུབ་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད།  །

chabsi wangtang nubpé trinlé dzö

To diminish just like flowers ravaged by frost.

 

གང་ན་རྒྱལ་བསྟན་རིན་ཆེན་དད་ཅིང་གུས།  །

gang na gyalten rinchen dé ching gü

Cause those with faith and devotion for the Victor’s precious teachings,

ལྷག་པའི་བསམ་པ་བཟང་པོ་ལྡན་པ་རྣམས།  །

lhakpé sampa zangpo denpa nam

Who possess noble and altruistic intentions,

ཚེ་རིང་ནད་མེད་བདེ་སྐྱིད་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས།  །

tsering nemé dekyi pün sum tsok

To enjoy long lives, good health, and abundant happiness,

ཡིད་ལ་བསམ་པའི་དོན་རྣམས་འགྲུབ་པར་མཛོད།  །

yi la sampé dön nam drubpar dzö

And have all their wishes fulfilled.

 

ཐུབ་བསྟན་སྒྲོན་མེ་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་སྦྲེངས།  །

tubten drönmé tenpé gyaltsen dreng

Cause those who hold the torch and raise the banner of the Sage’s teachings,

ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྔ་ཆེན་སྒྲོགས་པའི་བྱང་སེམས་རྣམས།  །

chö kyi nga chen drokpé changsem nam

Bodhisattvas who cause the great drum of Dharma to resound,

བསྟན་པའི་རྩ་བ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ངེས་པས་ན།  །

tenpé tsawa chik tu ngepé na

Since they are of such fundamental importance to the teachings,

སྐུ་ཚེ་མི་ནུབ་ཡུན་དུ་བསྲིངས་བར་མཛོད།  །

kutsé mi nub yündu singwar dzö

To lead long lives without any deterioration of their vitality.

 

བདག་ཅག་རྣལ་འབྱོར་དམ་ལྡན་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ལ།  །

dakchak naljor damden tsok nam la

For us yogins and yoginīs who uphold the samaya commitments,

དགྲ་གདོན་བགེགས་དང་བྱད་ཁ་རྦོད་གཏོང་དང་།  །

dra dön gek dang jekha bötong dang

May enemies, demons, obstacles, curses, sorcery,

ནད་དང་རིམས་ཀྱི་འཚེ་བ་ལ་སོགས་པ།  །

né dang rim kyi tsewa lasokpa

Or harm brought about by disease or epidemics

མྱུར་དུ་ཞི་ནས་གང་བསམ་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་མཛོད།  །

nyurdu zhi né gang sam lhündrub dzö

Be swiftly pacified and all our wishes spontaneously fulfilled.

 

མདོར་ན་བསྟན་སྲུང་དམ་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོ་རྣམས།  །

dorna tensung damchen gyatso nam

In short, let the ocean of oath-bound guardians of the teachings

སྔོན་གྱི་ཐུགས་དམ་གཉན་པོ་ཉེར་དགོངས་ཏེ།  །

ngön gyi tukdam nyenpo nyer gong té

Recall the solemn pledges that they made in the past,

མཐུ་སྟོབས་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྩལ་ཤུགས་རབ་ཕྱུངས་ལ།  །

tutob trinlé tsalshuk rab chung la

Intensify the power of their forceful activity,

སངས་རྒྱས་བསྟན་པ་རྒྱས་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད།  །

sangye tenpa gyepé trinlé dzö

And cause the Buddha’s teachings to flourish and spread.

 

ལུས་དང་གྲིབ་མ་བཞིན་དུ་འགྲོགས་པ་དང་།  །

lü dang dribma zhindu drokpa dang

Accompany us as inseparably as the body’s shadow,

ལེགས་ཉེས་བླངས་དོར་གསལ་བར་སྟོན་པ་དང་།  །

leknyé lang dor salwar tönpa dang

Clearly reveal the good and bad to be adopted and avoided,

འགལ་རྐྱེན་ཀུན་སེལ་མཐུན་རྐྱེན་ཡིད་བཞིན་འགྲུབ།  །

galkyen kün sel tünkyen yizhin drub

Banish all adversity, bring about favourable circumstances,

ཕྱོགས་ལས་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད།  །

chok lé nampar gyalwé trinlé dzö

And carry out the activity that is victorious over all.

 

ཅེས་པ་འདི་པདྨ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེས་མེ་བྱ་རྒྱལ་ཟླའི་ཚེས་ལ་གསོལ་བསྐང་སྐབས་སུ་བྲིས་པ་མཐུ་དང་ལྡན་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་ཏུ་གསོལ།  བཀྲ་ཤིས་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག།  །།

Thus, Pema Yeshe Dorje wrote this during practices of invocation and propitiation in the Puṣya (i.e., twelfth) month in the Fire Bird year. May it be blessed and infused with power! May it be auspicious!
