༄༅། །ཀཿ་ཐོག་སི་ཏུ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་ཉི་མའི་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ་འདེབས།

Prayer for the Long Life of Katok Situ Orgyen Chökyi Nyima¹

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།

om svasti

Oṃ svasti!

དགེ་ལེགས་རྟ་བདུན་དབང་པོའི་གཟི་འོད་ཀྱིས།    །

gelek ta dün wangpö zi ö kyi

With the resplendence of a sun of virtue and excellence,

ཕུན་ཚོགས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྣང་བ་མཆོག་སྩོལ་བ།    །

püntsok tashi nangwa chok tsolwa

You bestow the supreme light of abundant fortune,

བླ་མ་དཀོན་མཆོག་རྩ་གསུམ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཡིས།    །

lama könchok tsa sum gyatso yi

Guru, Three Jewels and ocean-like Three Roots,

རྣམ་དག་སྨོན་པའི་གནས་འདི་མྱུར་འགྲུབ་མཛོད།    །

namdak mönpé né di nyur drub dzö

Cause these pure aspirations to be swiftly fulfilled.

ཨོ༵་རྒྱན༵་བླ་མའི་བསྟན་པ་བཀའ་གཏེར་གྱི།    །

orgyen lamé tenpa kater gyi

Powerful adept, peerless in maintaining the traditions

རིང་ལུགས་འཛིན་ལ་ཟླ་མེད་མཐུ་གྲུབ་པ།    །

ringluk dzin la damé tu drubpa

Of kama and terma, the teachings of the Guru of Oḍḍiyāna,

བྱམ༵ས་ཆེན་རྒྱལ་བ་ལྔ་པ༵་འཕོས་པ་ཉིད།    །

jamchen gyalwa ngapa pöpa nyi

Great Maitreya, the fifth conqueror, transported to this world,

སྐུ་ཚེ་མི༵་འགྱུར༵་བསྐལ་བརྒྱར་འཚོ་གཞེས་གསོལ།    །

kutsé mingyur kal gyar tsozhé sol

May you abide for a hundred aeons with unchanging vitality.

ཐུབ༵་བསྟན༵་མདོ་སྔགས་བཤ༵ད་དང་སྒྲུབ༵་པ་ཡི།    །

tubten do ngak shé dang drubpa yi

With the Dharma Sun of the teaching and practice of the Sage’s teachings,

ཆོས༵་ཀྱི༵་ཉི༵་མ༵་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཕྱོགས་བཅུར་གསལ།    །

chökyi nyima jikten chok chur sal

Both sūtra and mantra, lighting up the world in every direction,

མཁས་བཙུན་བཟང་པོའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཁྱབ།    །

khé tsün zangpö trinlé küntu khyab

And activity based on learning, ethics and kindness spreading all around,

ཡོན་ཏན་དཔག་ཡས་ངོ་བོར་འཚོ་གཞེས་གསོལ།    །

yönten pakyé ngowor tsozhé sol

May you abide within the essential nature of boundless qualities.

ཞབས་པད་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ཁྲི་ལ་རྟག་ཏུ་བརྟེན།    །

zhabpé dorjé tri la taktu ten

As your lotus feet remain forever firm upon the vajra throne,

བར་ཆད་བདུད་ཀྱི་གཡུལ་ལས་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ།    །

barché dü kyi yul lé nampar gyal

May you triumph in the battle with obstacles and demonic forces.

དོན་གཉིས་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡི།    །

dön nyi lhündrub chö kyi gyalpo yi

And may you attain the sublime status of a king of Dharma,

གོ་འཕང་དམ་པ་མངའ་དབང་འབྱོར་བར་ཤོག  །

gopang dampa nga wangjor bar shok

Who spontaneously accomplishes the twofold benefit.

དེ་ལྟར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་བྱིན་རླབས་ཀྱིས།    །

detar solwa tabpé jinlab kyi

Through the blessings of praying in this way,

བསྟན་དང་བསྟན་འཛིན་དར་ཞིང་རྒྱས་པ་དང་།    །

ten dang tendzin dar zhing gyepa dang

May the teachings and their holders flourish,

ནག་ཕྱོགས་དུས་ཀྱི་རྒུད་པ་ཀུན་ཞི་ནས།    །

nakchok dü kyi güpa kün zhi né

And, with all the ills of this evil age pacified,

དགེ་ལེགས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྣང་བ་འཆར་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

gelek tashi nangwa char gyur chik

May the light of auspicious goodness dawn.

ཅེས་པ་དང་ཏཱ་ཡི་སི་ཏུ་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་ཨོ་རྒྱན་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་དཔལ་བཟང་པོའི་རྣམ་རོལ་པད་དཀར་གསར་དུ་བཞད་པ་མཆོག་གི་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཞབས་བརྟན་མཚན་འབུལ་དང་འབྲེལ་བ་འདི་ཡང་།  མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་སྤྲུལ་མིང་འཛིན་པ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་བློ་གྲོས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་དཔལ་བཟང་པོ་ནས་ཕུལ་བས་དགེ་ལེགས་ཀྱི་སྣང་བས་ས་གསུམ་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཁྱབ་པ་བླ་མ་རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་ཀྱི་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་དུ་གསོལ།།    །།

This prayer for the longevity of the supreme and precious incarnation, a freshly blossomed white lotus of an emanation of the Vajradhara Tai Situ Orgyen Chökyi Gyaltsen Palzangpo, was offered by the one who holds the name of Khyentse Tulku, Jamyang Lodrö Gyatso Palzangpo. May the gurus, victorious ones and their heirs grant their blessings, so that the light of virtue and excellence entirely pervades the three worlds.
