Guru Yoga of the Great Tertön Pema Lingpa

ཨོཾ་སྭ་སྟི།

Oṃ svasti!

རང་རིག་ཨོ་རྒྱན་པདྨ་གླིང་།  །
འདུ་འབྲལ་མེད་པར་མཆོད་བྱས་ཏེ།  །
དེ་ཉིད་སྒྲུབ་པའི་ཐབས་ཟབ་མོ།  །
བླ་མའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་ཉུང་ངུར་དབྱེ།  །

Homage to Orgyen Pema Lingpa,
Inseparably one with my own awareness.
As a profound method of accomplishment,
I shall here set forth a brief guru yoga.

དེ་ལ་འདིར་དད་པ་དང་དམ་ཚིག་ལྡན་པའི་སྒྲུབ་པ་པོ་བདེ་བའི་སྟན་ལ་འཁོད་དེ།  སྐྱབས་སེམས་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་བས།

A devoted practitioner who maintains the samaya should settle on a comfortable seat, begin by taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, then continue with:

ཨ།  གདོད་ནས་སྐྱེ་མེད་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཀློང་།  །

a, döné kyemé chöying long

A! In the dharmadhātu expanse, forever unborn,

འགགས་མེད་རང་གསལ་ཞིང་ཁམས་ཆེར།  །

gakmé rangsal zhingkham cher

The vast pure realm of unceasing natural clarity,

གནས་མེད་ཐུགས་རྗེ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུར།  །

nemé tukjé trulpé kur

As the unabiding nirmāṇakāya of compassion,

རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་པདྨ་གླིང་།  །

tsawé lama pema ling

My own root guru appears as Pema Lingpa

དཀར་དམར་མདངས་ལྡན་སྔགས་པའི་ཚུལ།  །

kar mar dangden ngakpé tsul

In the guise of a mantra adept with glowing pink complexion.

གསང་གོས་དཀར་པོ་འདུང་མ་དམར།  །

sang gö karpo dungma mar

He wears a white undergarment, red sleeves,

སྐུ་ཤམ་བཙག་ཁ་གཟན་སྨུག་དང་།  །

ku sham tsak kha zen muk dang

A reddish lower garment and maroon shawl.

དབུ་ལ་པད་ཞྭ་ཁ་འབུས་གསོལ།  །

u la pé zha kha bü sol

On his head is the blossoming lotus hat.

ཕྱག་གཡས་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཐུགས་ཀར་གཏོད།  །

chak yé dorjé tukkar tö

His right hand holds a vajra at his heart,

གཡོན་པས་མཉམ་བཞག་ཐོད་ཆང་བསྣམས།  །

yönpé nyamzhak töchang nam

And his left, in the gesture of equanimity, supports a skullcup of liquor.

ཞབས་གཉིས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐྱིལ་ཀྲུང་བཞུགས།  །

zhab nyi dorjé kyiltrung zhuk

His two legs are crossed in vajra posture.

དབུ་གཙུག་གུ་རུ་བདེ་བ་ཆེ།  །

u tsuk guru dewa ché

At his crown is the Guru of Great Bliss

ཐུགས་དབུས་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་དབང་ནི།  །

tuk ü chenrezik wang ni

And in the centre of his heart is Avalokiteśvara

སེམས་ཉིད་ངལ་གསོ་བཞུགས་པར་གསལ།  །ཞལ་གཅིག་ཕྱག་གཉིས་གཡས་མཆོག་སྦྱིན་གཡོན་སྟ་ཟུར་ནས་གདན་ལ་བརྟེན་ཞབས་ཕྱེད་སྐྱིལ།  མཆན།

semnyi ngalso zhukpar sal

In the form known as Finding Rest in the Nature of Mind.¹

གནས་གསུམ་རྡོ་རྗེའི་འབྲུ་གསུམ་ལས།  །

né sum dorjé dru sum lé

From the three vajra syllables at his three centres,

འོད་འཕྲོས་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་དྲངས་གྱུར།  །

ö trö yeshe chendrang gyur

Light radiates out to invite the wisdom deities.

 

ཧཱུྃ།  འོག་མིན་མཁའ་སྤྱོད་ཞིང་ཁམས་དང་།  །

hung, womin khachö zhingkham dang

Hūṃ. From the pure celestial realm of Akaniṣṭha,

པདྨ་འོད་ཀྱི་ཕོ་བྲང་སོགས།  །

pema ö kyi podrang sok

As well as the Palace of Lotus Light,

སྐུ་གསུམ་ཞིང་ཁམས་རབ་འབྱམས་ནས།  །

ku sum zhingkham rabjam né

And all the infinite three-kāya pure realms,

རིག་འཛིན་བླ་མ་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ།  །

rigdzin lama shek su sol

Come now, vidyādhara gurus!

དཔའ་བོ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་འཁོར་དང་བཅས།  །

pawo khandro khor dangché

Come, with your retinues of vīras and ḍākinīs!

གདུགས་དང་རྒྱལ་མཚན་ཐིབས་སེ་ཐིབ།  །

duk dang gyaltsen tib sé tib

With throngs of parasols and banners of victory,

རོལ་མོ་མང་པོ་དི་རི་རི།  །

rolmo mangpo di riri

As many instruments play and their music resounds,

དྲི་ཞིམ་སྤོས་ཀྱི་དུད་སྤྲིན་གཏིབ།  །

drizhim pö kyi dü trin tib

As clouds of fragrant incense billow and swirl,

ཧཱུྃ་དང་ཕཊ་དང་ཕེཾ་གྱི་སྒྲས།  །

hung dang pé dang pem gyi dré

And the sounds of ‘Hūṃ!’, ‘Phaṭ!’ and ‘Pheṃ!’ reverberate.

གནམ་ས་གང་བ་ཙམ་དུ་ནི།  །

namsa gangwa tsam du ni

I invite you to fill the whole expanse of earth and sky.

སྤྱན་དྲངས་དམ་ཡེ་དབྱེར་མེད་བཞུགས།  །

chendrang damyé yermé zhuk

Wisdom deities, remain inseparable from samaya forms,

མོས་ལྡན་བུ་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།  །

möden bu la jingyi lob

Inspire this devoted child with your blessings,

མཆོག་དང་ཐུན་མོང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ།  །

chok dang tünmong ngödrub tsol

And grant me attainments, ordinary and supreme!

བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཛཿ

benza samaya dza

Vajra samaya jaḥ!

ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོཿ

dza hung bam ho

Jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ!

ཚོགས་བསགས་པ་ནི།

Gathering the Accumulations

ཧྲཱི༔  ལུས་མཆོག་ཞིང་གི་རྡུལ་སྙེད་སྤྲུལ།  །

hri, lü chok zhing gi dul nyé trul

Hrīḥ! I emanate supreme forms as numerous as atoms in the world,

རབ་གུས་དད་པས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།  །

rab gü depé chaktsal lo

Who offer prostrations out of their sincere faith and devotion.

སྲིད་ཞིའི་ཕུན་ཚོགས་ཇི་སྙེད་པ།  །

sizhi püntsok jinyepa

All that is excellent throughout the whole of existence and peace,

བློ་ཡིས་བླངས་ནས་མཆོད་པར་འབུལ།  །

lo yi lang né chöpar bul

I hereby bring to mind and present to you as offerings.

ཚེ་རབས་ཐོག་མེད་ནས་བསགས་པའི།  །

tserab tokmé né sakpé

All my misdeeds and downfalls accumulated throughout

སྡིག་ལྟུང་སྟོབས་བཞི་ཚང་བས་བཤགས།  །

diktung tob zhi tsangwé shak

Beginningless lives I now confess with all four powers complete.

འཕགས་དང་སོ་སྐྱེའི་དགེ་ཚོགས་ལ།  །

pak dang sokyé gé tsok la

I rejoice, without the slightest trace of envy,

ཕྲག་དོག་མེད་པར་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་།  །

trakdok mepar jé yi rang

In all the virtues of sublime and ordinary beings.

རྒྱལ་བ་མྱ་ངན་འདའ་བཞེད་ལ།  །

gyalwa nya ngen da zhé la

All you victorious ones intending to pass into nirvāṇa,

མི་འདའ་བཞུགས་པར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།  །

mi da zhukpar solwa deb

I implore you not to go beyond beyond but to remain.

གདུལ་བྱའི་བློ་དང་འཚམས་པ་ཡི།  །

duljé lo dang tsampa yi

Turn the wheel of Dharma, profound and vast, I urge you,

ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཆོས་འཁོར་བསྐོར་བར་བསྐུལ།  །

zabgyé chökhor korwar kul

In accordance with the temperaments of those to be trained.

དུས་གསུམ་བསགས་པའི་ལེགས་བྱས་ཀུན།  །

dü sum sakpé lek jé kün

All the positivity accrued throughout the three times

འགྲོ་རྣམས་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཐོབ་ཕྱིར་བསྔོ།  །

dro nam changchub tob chir ngo

I hereby dedicate toward the great awakening of beings!

སྤྲོ་ན་མཎྜལ་འབུལ།

Offer the maṇḍala if you wish.

གསོལ་འདེབས་ནི།

Prayer

དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཁྱབ་བདག་པད་མ་འབྱུང་།  །

kyilkhor gyatsö khyabdak pema jung

Padmasambhava, lord of oceanic maṇḍalas,

ཡེ་ཤེས་གཅིག་ཉིད་དུ་མར་ཤར་བའི་གཟུགས།  །

yeshe chik nyi dumar sharwé zuk

Your singular wisdom appears in many forms:

པདྨ་གསལ་དང་པདྨ་ལས་འབྲེལ་རྩལ།  །

pema sal dang pema ledrel tsal

Princess Pema Sal, Pema Ledrel Tsal,

ཀློང་ཆེན་རབ་འབྱམས་ཐེག་མཆོག་བསྟན་པའི་བདག  །

longchen rabjam tek chok tenpé dak

Longchen Rabjam, master of the teachings of the supreme vehicle,

པདྨ་གླིང་པར་སྟོན་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།  །

pema lingpar tön la solwa deb

And Pema Lingpa. To you I pray:

མཆོག་དང་ཐུན་མོང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ།  །

chok dang tünmong ngödrub tsal du sol

Grant me the attainments, ordinary and supreme!

མཚན་སྔགས་ནི།

Name Mantra

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿབཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་དྭཱི་པ་སརྦ་སིདྡྷི་ཕ་ལ་ཧཱུྃ།

om ah benza guru pemadipa sarwa siddhi pala hung

oṃ āḥ vajra guru padmadvīpa sarva siddhi phala hūṃ

ཞེས་བཟླ།

Recite the mantra.

སྤྱི་བོའི་བླ་མ་བདེ་བ་ཆེའི།  །

chiwö lama dewa ché

A stream of nectar descends from

སྐུ་ལས་བདུད་རྩིའི་རྒྱུན་བབས་པ།  །

ku lé dütsi gyün babpa

The form of the Guru of Great Bliss at the crown.

བླ་མའི་སྐུ་ཡི་དབྱིབས་བརྒྱུད་ནས།  །

lamé ku yi yib gyü né

It passes through the guru’s body

རང་གི་སྤྱི་བོ་ནས་བབས་པས།  །

rang gi chiwo né babpé

And flows down into the crown of my head.

ལུས་གང་སྒྲིབ་དག་དབང་བཞི་ཐོབ།  །

lü gang drib dak wang zhi tob

As it fills my body, it purifies obscurations and confers the four empowerments.

སྐུ་བཞི་མངོན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་དང་།  །

ku zhi ngön du gyurpa dang

And I actualize the four kāyas.

བླ་མ་འོད་ཞུ་རང་ལ་ཐིམ།  །

lama ö zhu rang la tim

The guru then melts into light and dissolves into me.

ཐུགས་ཡིད་བསྲེས་ལ་མཉམ་པར་བཞག  །

tuk yi sé la nyampar zhak

And in the fusion of mind and wisdom, I rest.

ཡི་དམ་གྱི་བཟླས་པ་བྱ་ན།

To practise the recitation of the yidam deity:

རང་ཉིད་བླ་མར་གསལ་བ་དང་།  །

rangnyi lamar salwa dang

I appear clearly as the guru.

སྤྱི་བོར་བླ་མ་བདེ་བ་ཆེ།  །

chiwor lama dewa ché

And at the heart centre of the Guru of Great Bliss at my crown

སྙིང་གའི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡི།  །

nyinggé tukjé chenpo yi

Is the Great Compassionate One,

ཐུགས་དབུས་ཟླ་སྟེང་ཧྲཱིཿཡིས་མཚན།  །

tuk ü da teng hrih yi tsen

In the centre of whose heart is a Hrīḥ upon a moon disc,

སྔགས་ཀྱིས་བསྐོར་ལས་འོད་ཟེར་འཕྲོས།  །

ngak kyi kor lé özer trö

Surrounded by the mantra, from which rays of light emanate,

འཕགས་མཆོད་སྒྲིབ་སྦྱངས་སྣང་གྲགས་རིག  །

pak chö drib jang nang drak rik

Making offerings to the exalted ones and purifying obscurations, so that sights, sounds and awareness

རིག་འཛིན་བླ་མའི་འཁོར་ལོར་རྫོགས།

rigdzin lamé khorlor dzok

Are perfected as the maṇḍala of the vidyādhara guru.

སྤྱི་བོའི་བླ་མ་ལས་བདུད་རྩི་འབེབས་དམིགས་དང་བཅས།

Visualize the amṛta nectar flowing down from the guru at your crown and recite:

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྃ།

om ah hung benza guru pema siddhi hung

oṃ āḥ hūṃ vajra guru padma siddhi hūṃ

སྙིང་གའི་ཡི་དམ་ལ་དམིགས་ནས།

Focusing on the yidam at the heart recite:

ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧྲཱིཿ

om mani padmé hung hrih

oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ hrīḥ

ཅི་ནུས་བཟླས་མཐར།  ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྷ་ཚོགས་སོགས་ཀྱི་སྟོང་ཚིག་མཆོད་བསྟོད་བྱའོ།  །

Recite this as many times as possible. Then, at the end, practice the offering and praise with the verses that mark a thousand recitations: “Yeshe lha tsok…etc.”

 

Tsok Offering

ཚོགས་མཆོད་འབུལ་བར་སྤྲོ་ན།  དམ་ཚིག་གི་རྫས་ཅི་འབྱོར་པ་བཤམས་ལ།

Should you wish to perform a feast offering, gather as many samaya substances as you can afford and recite:

ཨཱཿ གཟུང་བ་རྣམ་དག་ཀ་པ་ལ།  །

ah, zungwa namdak kapala

Āḥ. In the kapāla that is the purity of the perceived

འཛིན་པ་རང་གྲོལ་དམ་ཚིག་རྫས།  །

dzinpa rangdrol damtsik dzé

The samaya substances of self-liberated perception

རྃ་ཡྃ་ཁྃ་གྱིས་སྦྱོང་བ་དང་།  །

ram yam kham gyi jongwa dang

Are cleansed by means of raṃ, yaṃ and khaṃ

འབྲུ་གསུམ་འོད་ཀྱིས་བདུད་རྩིར་གྱུར།

dru sum ö kyi dütsir gyur

And transformed into nectar through the light of the three seed-syllables.

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།

om ah hung

Oṃ āḥ hūṃ

ལན་གསུམ་བརྗོད།

Repeat this three times.

ཧྲཱིཿསྐུ་གསུམ་ཞིང་ཁམས་རབ་འབྱམས་ནས།  །

hrih, ku sum zhingkham rabjam né

Hrīḥ! From infinite three-kāya realms,

བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་མཁའ་འགྲོའི་ཚོགས།  །

lama yidam khandrö tsok

Come, gurus, yidam deities and ḍākinīs,

འདིར་གཤེགས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འདུ་བར་གཤེགས།  །

dir shek tsok kyi duwar shek

And join this feast gathering!

དམ་ཚིག་རྫས་ལ་བྱིན་ཆེན་ཕོབས།  །

damtsik dzé la jin chen pob

Shower down great blessings upon the samaya substances,

སྣང་སྲིད་བཅུད་བསྡུས་དངོས་གྲུབ་དབྱིག  །

nangsi chü dü ngödrub yik

And transform the essence of appearance and existence

འཛད་པ་མེད་པའི་གཏེར་དུ་གྱུར།  །

dzepa mepé ter du gyur

Into an inexhaustible treasury of jewel-like attainments.

བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཛཿ

benza samaya dza

Vajra samaya jaḥ!

ཛཿཧཱུྃ་བྃ་ཧོཿ

dza hung bam ho

Jaḥ hūṃ baṃ hoḥ!

 

ཧོཿ བཟའ་བཅའ་བཏུང་བ་ཕྱི་ཡི་ཚོགས།  །

ho, zacha tungwa chi yi tsok

Hoḥ! The outer feast of food and drink,

འདོད་ཡོན་ལྔ་ལྡན་ནང་གི་ཚོགས།  །

döyön ngaden nang gi tsok

The inner feast of sensory delights,

འབར་འཛག་སྙོམས་འཇུག་གསང་བའི་ཚོགས།  །

bar dzak nyom juk sangwé tsok

And the secret feast of union, blazing and dripping—

དགྱེས་མཉམ་ཆེན་པོའི་མཆོད་པར་འབུལ།  །

gyé nyam chenpö chöpar bul

These offerings that bring great delight, I offer.

དམ་ཚིག་ཉམས་ཆགས་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས།  །

damtsik nyamchak tol lo shak

I confess impairments and breakages of samaya.

ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་འཁྲུལ་རྟོག་སྒྲོལ།  །

chi nang sangwé trul tok drol

Free us from deluded concepts—outer, inner and secret.

ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀློང་ལྔའི་དབྱིངས་སུ་སྟོབས།  །

yeshe long ngé ying su tob

Deliver them into the space of fivefold wisdom.

མཆོག་དང་ཐུན་མོང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ།  །

chok dang tünmong ngödrub tsol

Grant us the attainments, ordinary and supreme.

 

ཧཱུྃ་ཧྲཱིཿཐུགས་དམ་བསྐང་བའི་རྫས་མཆོག་ནི།  །

hung hrih, tukdam kangwé dzé chok ni

Hūṃ hrīḥ! Supreme substances for restoring commitments,

ཀུན་བཟང་བདེ་སྟོང་རོལ་མོ་ལས།  །

kunzang detong rolmo lé

These vast clouds of offerings which arise

བྱུང་བའི་མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་ཕུང་ཆེ།  །

jungwé chöpé trinpung ché

From Samantabhadra’s play of bliss and emptiness,

སྲིད་ཞིའི་ཁམས་ཀྱི་དག་པའི་རྫས།  །

sizhi kham kyi dakpé dzé

These pure substances of the elements of existence and peace,

ཅིར་ཡང་འཆར་ཞིང་ཅིར་ཡང་འཕྲུལ།  །

chiryang char zhing chiryang trul

Magically transformed beyond any and all limits,

བླ་མ་རིག་འཛིན་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་ནི།  །

lama rigdzin kyilkhor ni

We offer to the maṇḍala of guru vidyādharas,

ཡུལ་དང་དབང་པོ་གཉིས་མེད་སྟོབས།  །

yul dang wangpo nyimé tob

Through the indivisibility of object and faculty.

བདེ་ཆེན་བདུད་རྩིས་རབ་མྱོས་ཏེ།  །

dechen dütsi rab nyö té

Intoxicated through the nectar of great bliss,

རྗེས་ཆགས་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྒྱུ་མའི་འཕྲུལ།  །

jé chak yeshe gyumé trul

Illusory manifestations of passionate wisdom

ནམ་མཁའ་གང་བར་འབར་འཕྲོ་ཡི།  །

namkha gangwar bar tro yi

Blaze forth and emanate to fill the whole of space.

སྣོད་བཅུད་ཡེ་དག་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ།  །

nöchü yé dak kyilkhor du

In this maṇḍala of the original purity of world and inhabitants,

ལྷུན་རྫོགས་བདེ་ཆེན་མཆོག་དངོས་གྲུབ།  །

lhün dzok dechen chok ngödrub

May we attain the supreme accomplishment

ཚེ་འདི་ཉིད་ལ་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

tsé di nyi la drub gyur chik

Of spontaneously perfect great bliss within this very life.

དེ་ནས་ཚོགས་ལ་རོལ་ཞིང་ལྷག་གཏོར་ནི།

Then enjoy the tsok feast. For the remainder torma, recite the following:

ཧྲཱིཿཕེཾ།  སྔོན་ཚེ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཧེ་རུ་ཀའི།  །

hrih pem, ngöntsé drubpé heruké

Hrīḥ! Pheṃ! May those who were empowered in former times

དཔལ་གྱི་ཕམ་ཕབ་ལ་དབང་ཚོགས།  །

pal gyi pampab la wang tsok

To receive the the accomplished heruka’s leftovers

ལྷག་གཏོར་བཞེས་ལ་རླུང་སེམས་ཀྱི།  །

lhaktor zhé la lungsem kyi

Accept this remainder torma and liberate the appearance

སྣང་ཆ་རིག་དབྱིངས་སྒྲོལ་བར་མཛོད།

nangcha rik ying drolwar dzö

Of wind-energy and mind into the space of awareness!

ཨུཥྩི་ཊ་བ་ལིཾ་ཏ་ཁཱ་ཧི།

utsita balingta khahi

Ucchiṣṭa baliṅta khāhi!

ཅེས་ཕུལ་ལ།

Make the offering.

Aspiration

རིག་འཛིན་བླ་མའི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ།  །

rigdzin lamé kyilkhor du

By making this tsok offering

ཚོགས་ཀྱི་མཆོད་པ་ཕུལ་བ་ཡིས། །

tsok kyi chöpa pulwa yi

To the maṇḍala of the vidyādhara guru,

བདག་གཞན་འགྲོ་བ་མ་ལུས་པ། །

dakzhen drowa malüpa

May I and others, every single sentient being,

དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་གཅིག་ཏུ་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

kyilkhor chik tu drubpar shok

Attain realization within the same maṇḍala!

གཏང་རག་མཆོད་བསྟོད་ནོངས་བཤགས་ནི།

For the offering and praise born of gratitude and the confession of errors, recite:

ཧཱུྃ་ཧྲཱིཿརིག་འཛིན་བླ་མའི་ལྷ་ཚོགས་མཆོད།  །

hung hrih, rigdzin lamé lhatsok chö

Hūṃ hrīḥ! I offer to you, the hosts of deities of the vidyādhara guru.

ཡོན་ཏན་རྗེས་དྲན་གླུ་ཡིས་བསྟོད།  །

yönten jedren lu yi tö

With songs that recall your virtuous qualities, I praise you.

སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ།  །

ku sung tuk kyi ngödrub tsol

Grant me the attainments of enlightened body, speech and mind.

འགལ་འཁྲུལ་ཉམས་ཆགས་མཐོལ་ལོ་བཤགས།

galtrul nyamchak tol lo shak

I confess all my errors, confusions, impairments and breakages!

ཡིག་བརྒྱ་བརྗོད།  རྟེན་ཡོད་ན་བརྟན་བཞུགས་བྱ།  མཐར།

Recite the hundred-syllable mantra. If you have an image, perform the request to remain. Finally, recite:

སྣོད་བཅུད་འོད་ཞུ་རང་ལ་ཐིམ།  །

nöchü ö zhu rang la tim

Environment and inhabitants melt into light and dissolve into me.

རང་ཡང་མི་དམིགས་དབྱིངས་སུ་ཐིམ།  །

rang yang mimik ying su tim

I too dissolve into basic space beyond reference.

སླར་ཡང་བླ་མའི་སྐུར་གསལ་བའི།  །

lar yang lamé kur salwé

Then, once again, I appear in the form of the guru,

གནས་གསུམ་ཡི་གེས་སྲུང་བར་གྱུར།

né sum yigé sungwar gyur

My three centres protected by the three syllables.

ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཀཱ་ཝཱ་ཙི་རཀྵ་ཧཾ།  །

om benza ka wa tsi raksha hang

oṃ vajra kāvāci rakṣa haṃ

དགེ་བ་འདི་ཡིས༴  སོགས་བསྔོ་སྨོན་བྱས་ཏེ་རྗེས་སྤྱོད་ལ་འཇུག་གོ།

Dedicate the virtue by reciting “Through the positivity and merit of this…etc.”, make aspirations, and then set about your post-meditation activities.

 

ཅེས་པའང་གཡག་ཟེ་བླ་མ་འགྱུར་གྲགས་ནས་རྟེན་བཅས་བསྐུལ་ངོར་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་དབང་ཆེན་སྤྲེལ་ལོ་སྤྲེལ་ཟླའི་ཚེས་ལ་སྒྲུབ་མཚོ་པདྨ་གླིང་ནས་བྲིས་ཏེ་ལྷ་ལུང་ཆོས་གྲྭ་ཆེན་པོར་གྲུབ་པར་བགྱིས་པའོ།  །

In response to a request, accompanied by a supporting gift, from Yakze Lama Gyurdrak, Chökyi Lodrö began this at Druptso Pema Ling during the monkey month of the monkey year and completed it at the great dharma centre of Lhalung.

 

འདི་དགེས་མ་གྱུར་སེམས་ཅན་ཀུན།  །
ལས་ངན་སྡིག་སྒྲིབ་ཀུན་བྱང་ནས།  །
པདྨ་འོད་ཀྱི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ།  །
གུ་རུ་ཡབ་སྲས་དྲུང་འཁོད་དེ།  །
གསུང་གི་བདུད་རྩིས་འཚོ་བ་དང་།  །
རིག་འཛིན་རྣམ་བཞིའི་ལམ་བགྲོད་དེ།  །
འཁོར་བ་དོང་ནས་སྤྲུགས་ནུས་ཤོག  །

Through the virtue of this may all sentient beings
Purify all their negative karma and obscurations,
And be brought before the Guru and his heirs
In the citadel of Lotus Light,
To be sustained by the nectar of his speech,
Traverse the path of the four vidyādhara levels
And gain the capacity to empty saṃsāra’s depths!

སརྦ་མངྒ་ལཾ།།    །།
