Consecration of Scattering Grain

གནས་ཆོག་བསྡུས་པའི་ཐུབ་དབང་གི་མཚན་སྔགས་ཅུང་ཟད་བཟླས་ནས།  རྟེན་སྙིང་བཟླ་བར་བྱ་སྟེ།  །

Recite for a short while the name mantra of the Lord of Sages from the brief Sixteen Elders practice, and then recite the Essence of Dependent Origination.

ཨོཾ་ཡེ་དྷརྨཱ་ཧེ་ཏུ་པྲ་བྷཱ་ཝཱ་ཧེ་ཏུནྟེ་ཥཱནྟ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏོ་ཧྱ་ཝ་དཏ། ཏེ་ཥཱཉྩ་ཡོ་ནི་རོ་དྷ་ཨེ་ཝྃ་ཝཱ་དཱི་མ་ཧཱ་ཤྲ་མ་ཎཿསྭཱ་ཧཱ།

om yé dharma hetu prabhava hetun teshan tatagato hyavadat | teshan tsa yo nirodha evam vadi maha shramana soha

oṃ ye dharmā hetu prabhāvā hetuṃ teṣāṃ tathāgato hyavadat | teṣāṃ ca yo nirodha evaṃ vādī mahāśramaṇaḥ svāhā ||

ཐུབ་དབང་འཁོར་བཅས་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་ཀར་ཟླ་བའི་སྟེང་དུ་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་སྙིང་པོའི་གཟུངས་སྔགས་ཀྱི་ཕྲེང་བས་བསྐོར་བ་དེ་ལས་འོད་ཟེར་འཕྲོས།  །

tubwang khor ché kyi tukkar dawé tengdu tendrel nyingpö zung ngak kyi trengwé korwa dé lé özer trö

Upon a moon-disc at the heart of the Lord of Sages and his retinue is the revolving mantra-garland of the Essence of Dependent Origination dhāraṇī, from which rays of light shoot out.

རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་བརྩེ་ནུས་པའི་བྱིན་བརླབ་ཐམས་ཅད་བསྡུས་ནས་ཐུགས་ཀའི་སྔགས་ཕྲེང་ལ་ཐིམ།

gyalwa sé ché kyi khyen tsé nü pé jin lab tamché dü né tukké ngak treng la tim

They gather the blessings of the knowledge, love and capacity of the Victorious Ones and their heirs, which then dissolve back into the mantra-garland at their heart-centres.

དེ་ལས་འོད་ཟེར་བསམ་གྱིས་མི་ཁྱབ་པ་འཕྲོས་པས་སྣོད་བཅུད་ཀྱི་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་ཉེས་ཚོགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཞི།

dé lé özer sam gyi mi khyabpa tröpé nöchü kyi tendrel nyé tsok tamché zhi

Further rays of light beyond imagining then pacify all flaws in dependent origination throughout the environment and among its inhabitants,

ཚེ་དང་བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡོན་ཏན་ཐམས་ཅད་རྒྱས་པར་བྱས།

tsé dang sönam yeshe yönten tamché gyepar jé

And cause longevity, merit, wisdom and qualities to increase.

སྔགས་ཀྱི་འོད་ཟེར་རྣམས་ཟླུམ་པོར་འཁྱིལ་བའི་གུར་ཁང་དུ་བདག་གཞན་བསྲུང་བྱ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཚུད་པར་གྱུར་པར་མོས་ལ་རྟེན་སྙིང་བཟླའོ།  །

ngak kyi özer nam dumpor khyilwé gurkhang du dakzhen sungja tamché tsüpar gyur

The rays of light from the mantra then form a protective dome into which I and others—all who require protection—are admitted.

As you consider this, recite the Essence of Dependent Origination.

ཨོཾ་ཡེ་དྷརྨཱ་ཧེ་ཏུ་པྲ་བྷཱ་ཝཱ་ཧེ་ཏུནྟེ་ཥཱནྟ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏོ་ཧྱ་ཝ་དཏ། ཏེ་ཥཱཉྩ་ཡོ་ནི་རོ་དྷ་ཨེ་ཝྃ་ཝཱ་དཱི་མ་ཧཱ་ཤྲ་མ་ཎཿསྭཱ་ཧཱ།

om yé dharma hetu prabhava hetun teshan tatagato hyavadat | teshan tsa yo nirodha evam vadi maha shramana soha

ཞེས་ཆུ་འབྲུག་དབོ་ཟླའི་དཀར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་ཚེས་བཟང་པོར་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་སྦྱར་བའོ།  །དགེ་ལེགས་འཕེལ།།   །།

Chökyi Lodrö wrote this on an auspicious date during the waxing phase of the Phālguna (second) month in the Water Dragon year (1952). May virtue and excellence increase!
