Concise Aspiration Prayer¹

བདག་ནི་དེང་ནས་སྐྱེ་དང་ཚེ་རབས་སུ། །

dak ni deng né kyé dang tserab su

From now through all my future births and lives,

རྒྱལ་བའི་བསྟན་དང་བཤེས་གཉེན་དམ་པར་འཕྲད། །

gyalwé ten dang shenyen dampar tré

May I encounter the teachings of the buddhas and meet genuine spiritual friends;

ཅི་གསུང་བཀའ་སྒྲུབ་ཟབ་མོའི་ལྟ་བ་རྟོགས། །

chi sung kadrub zabmö tawa tok

May I accomplish their instructions and realize the profound view;

རིན་ཆེན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་ཀྱི་རང་དབང་འབྱོར། །

rinchen changchub sem kyi rangwang jor

May I be rich with the self-sufficiency of precious bodhicitta;

རྒྱལ་སྲས་རྒྱལ་བའི་རྣམ་ཐར་ཡོངས་ཟླུམ་པའི། །

gyalsé gyalwé namtar yong dumpé

And may I, relying on myself alone, carry out

རྫོགས་སྨིན་སྦྱང་བ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྤྱོད་པ་ཀུན། །

dzok min jangwa gyatsö chöpa kün

The vast acts exemplified in the stories of the lives of the victorious bodhisattvas

བདག་ཉིད་གཅིག་པུས་ཐམས་ཅད་སྤྱོད་གྱུར་ཅིག །

daknyi chikpü tamché chö gyur chik

That lead to spiritual perfection, ripening, and purification!
