ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་དུས་གསུམ་གྱི་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དང་གསུང་དང་ཐུགས་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད་རྡོ་རྗེ་རྩེ་མོའི་ངོ་བོ་ལས་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པ་དཔལ་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོའི་རང་བཞིན་ཚད་མེད་པའི་མཁྱེན་རབ་དང་ཐུགས་རྗེར་ལྡན་ལ།

To the one who has the boundless wisdom and compassion, the nature of glorious Samantabhadra, who is spontaneously present from the essence of the Vajra Pinnacle, the equality of the enlightened body, speech and mind of all the buddhas of the ten directions and three times,

ཁམས་གསུམ་གྱི་བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཀུ་མ་རཱ་ཛའི་ཞབས་ཀྱི་པདྨོ་དྲི་མ་མེད་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

kham sum gyi lama rinpoche ku ma radzé zhab kyi pemo drima mepa la chaktsal lo

Precious guru of the three realms, Kumārādza, at your immaculate lotus feet, I pay homage.

མཆོད་དོ། །སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆིའོ། །

chö do kyab su chi o

To you I make offerings. In you I take refuge!

བརྩེ་བ་ཆེན་པོས་དུས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་རྗེས་སུ་བཟུང་དུ་གསོལ།

tsewa chenpö dü tamché du jesu zung du sol

Hold me at all times in your great loving embrace, I pray.

ངོ་བོ་བརྗོད་འདས་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ངང༌། །

ngowo jö dé chökü ngang

The dharmakāya state beyond expression,

རང་བཞིན་འོད་གསལ་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས། །

rangzhin ösal longchö dzok

The sambhogakāya, luminous in nature,

ཐུགས་རྗེ་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ། །

tukjé lhündrub trulpé ku

And the nirmāṇakāya of spontaneous compassion—

བླ་མ་ཀུན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

lama kün la chaktsal lo

To all the gurus, I pay homage.

ཤིན་ཏུ་སྐྱེ་མེད་ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀློང༌། །

shintu kyemé chönyi long

The dharmatā expanse, utterly unborn,

གདོད་མའི་མགོན་པོ་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫོགས། །

dömé gönpo yönten dzok

Primordial protectors with perfect qualities,

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་གྱི་མེས་ཆེན་པོ། །

sangye kün gyi mé chenpo

Great progenitors of all the buddhas—

ཀུན་བཟང་ཡབ་ཡུམ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

kunzang yabyum la chaktsal

Samantabhadra and consort, to you I pay homage.

རང་བཞིན་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་འོད་གསལ་ཞིང༌། །

rangzhin lhündrub ösal zhing

In the luminous realm, by nature spontaneous,

གསལ་སྟོང་དབྱེར་མེད་ཞི་ཁྲོའི་སྐུ། །

saltong yermé zhitrö ku

Peaceful and wrathful forms in which clarity and emptiness are invisible,

ཀུན་བཟང་ཀློང་ལས་རང་ཤར་བའི། །

kunzang long lé rangshar bé

Naturally arise from the ever perfect expanse—

དམ་པ་རིགས་བརྒྱ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

dampa rik gya la chaktsal

Hundred supreme deities, to you I pay homage.

ཤིན་ཏུ་རྣམ་དག་གཉུག་མའི་ཀློང༌། །

shintu namdak nyukmé long

In the utterly pure, genuine expanse,

ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་འོད་གསལ་སྐུ། །

yönten lhün dzok ösal ku

Luminous kāya with spontaneously perfect qualities,

རང་བཞིན་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་རྫོགས་སངས་རྒྱས། །

rangzhin lhündrub dzoksang gyé

Perfect buddha spontaneously present by nature—

རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་ཆེན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

dorjé chang chen la chaktsal

Great Vajradhara, to you I pay homage.

ཤིན་ཏུ་སྐྱེ་མེད་ནམ་མཁའི་ངང༌། །

shintu kyemé namkhé ngang

In the domain of utterly unborn space,

ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡོན་ཏན་ཁྱབ་གདལ་ཆེ། །

yeshe yönten khyab dal ché

Wisdom qualities are vastly expansive,

གསལ་སྟོང་འོད་གསལ་སྒྱུ་མའི་སྐུ། །

saltong ösal gyumé ku

Clear and empty, luminous illusory form—

རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

dorjé sempa la chaktsal

Vajrasattva, to you I pay homage.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་དང་དབྱེར་མེད་ཅིང༌། །

sangye kün dang yermé ching

Inseparable from all the buddhas,

ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན། །

yönten lhün dzok dorjé dzin

Vajra holder with spontaneously perfect qualities,

རྒྱུད་ཀུན་སྡུད་མཛད་གསང་སྔགས་འཆང༌། །

gyü kün dü dzé sang ngakchang

Secret mantra holder who compiled all the tantras—

ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

chak na dorjé la chaktsal

Vajrapāṇi, to you I pay homage.

རྒྱལ་བའི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་ལས། །

gyalwé tukjé lhündrub lé

Foremost of all the vidyādharas, naturally arisen

རང་བྱུང་རིག་འཛིན་ཀུན་གྱི་གཙོ། །

rangjung rigdzin kün gyi tso

From the victorious buddhas’ spontaneous compassion,

དན་ཏིག་ཆུ་བོར་འཇའ་བཞིན་ཡལ། །

den tik chuwor ja zhin yal

You disappeared like a rainbow at the river Danatika—

དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

garab dorjé la chaktsal

Garab Dorje, to you I pay homage.

རང་བཞིན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་ཀུན་བཟང་ངང༌། །

rangzhin lhün dzok kunzang ngang

In the ever excellent state, by nature spontaneously perfect,

ཤིན་ཏུ་མཉམ་བཞག་གསལ་སྟོང་རྒྱས། །

shintu nyamzhak saltong gyé

Utterly composed in meditation, vast clarity and emptiness,

སོ་ས་གླིང་དུ་འོད་དུ་ཡལ། །

so sa ling du ö du yal

You faded into luminosity at Sosadvīpa—

འཇམ་དཔལ་བཤེས་གཉེན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

jampal shenyen la chaktsal

Mañjuśrīmitra, to you I pay homage.

ལྷུན་རྫོགས་ཆོས་སྐུར་རྣམ་སངས་རྒྱས། །

lhün dzok chökur nam sangye

You awakened as spontaneously perfect dharmakāya,

གསལ་སྟོང་དབྱེར་མེད་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫོགས། །

saltong yermé yönten dzok

With perfect qualities, clarity and emptiness indivisible,

བསིལ་སྦྱིན་མཁའ་ལ་འོད་སྐུར་ཡལ། །

sil jin kha la ökur yal

And you disappeared into a light body in the sky at Śīta Grove—

ཤྲཱི་སིང་ཧ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

shrising hala chaktsal

Śrī Siṃha, to you I pay homage.

གཉུག་མའི་ཀློང་ལས་ཡོན་ཏན་རྫོགས། །

nyukmé long lé yönten dzok

With perfect qualities from the genuine expanse,

གཟུང་འཛིན་རང་གྲོལ་མཉམ་པ་ཉིད། །

zungdzin rangdrol nyampa nyi

And dualistic perception naturally released in perfect equality,

བྷ་སིང་ནགས་སུ་འོད་དུ་ཡལ། །

bhasing nak su ö du yal

You passed into luminosity at Bhasing Forest—

ཛྙཱ་ན་སཱུ་ཏྲ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

jnana su tra la chaktsal

Jñānasūtra, to you I pay homage.

གདོད་མའི་ངང་དུ་རང་སར་གྲོལ། །

dömé ngang du rang sar drol

Naturally freed in the primordial state,

ཐུགས་རྗེ་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་འགྲོ་བའི་དཔལ། །

tukjé lhündrub drowé pal

Spontaneously compassionate splendour of beings,

རིག་པ་འཛིན་པ་ཀུན་གྱི་རྗེ། །

rigpa dzinpa kün gyi jé

Sovereign of all the vidyādharas—

བི་མ་མི་ཏྲ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

bi ma mi tra la chaktsal

Vimalamitra, to you I pay homage.

སྐལ་བཟང་འདྲེན་པ་སྟོང་གི་བར། །

kalzang drenpa tong gi bar

For as long as the thousand buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon appear,

གཞན་དོན་འཕོ་བ་ཆེན་པོའི་སྐུ། །

zhendön powa chenpö ku

You remain for the sake of others, continuously abiding

རི་བོ་རྩེ་ལྔར་རྟག་ཏུ་བཞུགས། །

riwo tsé ngar taktu zhuk

In a kāya of great transference on the Five-Peaked Mountain—

བི་མ་མི་ཏྲ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

bi ma mi tra la chaktsal

Vimalamitra, to you I pay homage.

མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་གྱིས། །

khyentsé trinlé lhündrub gyi

You perfectly fulfilled beings’ aims

འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་རྣམས་རྫོགས་མཛད་ཅིང༌། །

drowé dön nam dzok dzé ching

Through spontaneous, wise and loving activity,

ཟག་མེད་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐུ། །

zakmé lhün dzok dorjé ku

And adopted the vajra kāya, immaculate and spontaneously perfect—

དྲི་མེད་བཤེས་གཉེན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

drimé shenyen la chaktsal

Vimalamitra, to you I pay homage.

བླང་དོར་མེད་པ་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ཀློང༌། །

langdor mepa chökü long

In the dharmakāya expanse beyond acceptance and rejection,

འོད་སྐུར་ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་ཤིང༌། །

ökur yönten lhün dzok shing

You spontaneously perfected enlightened qualities in a body of light,

གང་ཤར་རང་གྲོལ་འཛིན་པ་མེད། །

gangshar rangdrol dzinpamé

And naturally liberated whatever arose, beyond all grasping—

ཏིང་འཛིན་བཟང་པོ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

tingdzin zangpo la chaktsal

Tingdzin Zangpo, to you I pay homage.

ཚོགས་གཉིས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ལས་གྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །

tsok nyi gyatso lé drub ching

Evolved from the oceanic two accumulations,

འཇམ་དཔལ་དབྱངས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་འཕྲུལ་མཆོག །

jampal yang kyi namtrul chok

Supreme emanation of Mañjughoṣa

གངས་ཅན་དམ་ཆོས་རྒྱས་མཛད་པའི། །

gangchen damchö gyé dzepé

You spread the sacred teachings through the Snowy Land,

ཆོས་རྒྱལ་མཆོག་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

chögyal chok la chaktsal lo

Chögyal Chok, to you I pay homage.

འཛིན་མེད་རང་གྲོལ་གཉུག་མའི་ངང༌། །

dzinmé rangdrol nyukmé ngang

In the genuine state, naturally free and beyond grasping,

འོད་གསལ་ལྷུན་གྲུབ་དབྱིངས་དང་འདྲེས། །

ösal lhündrub ying dang dré

Spontaneously present clear light merges with basic space—

མ་འགགས་རོལ་པས་གཞན་དོན་མཛད། །

magak rolpé zhendön dzé

Through this ceaseless play, you acted for others’ sake.

ལྡང་མ་ལྷུན་རྒྱལ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

dang ma lhün gyal la chaktsal

Dangma Lhungyal, to you I pay homage.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་དང་རྣམ་དབྱེར་མེད། །

sangye kün dang namyer mé

Inseparable from all the buddhas,

ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་གསལ་སྟོང་རྒྱས། །

yönten lhün dzok saltong gyé

With spontaneously perfect qualities and full mastery of empty clarity,

འོད་ལུས་གྲུབ་ནས་མཁའ་ལ་ཡལ། །

ö lü drub né kha la yal

You attained the body of light and faded into space—

སེང་གེ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

sengé wangchuk la chaktsal

Sengge Wangchuk, to you I pay homage.

རྟོག་པ་ཉོན་མོངས་རང་སར་གྲོལ། །

tokpa nyönmong rang sar drol

With conceptual thought and afflictions freed in their own place,

ཐུགས་རྗེས་གཞན་དོན་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ། །

tukjé zhendön lhün gyi drub

You spontaneously and compassionately fulfilled others’ aims,

རང་བྱུང་ཟང་ཐལ་ཀློང་ཡངས་ཤར། །

rangjung zangtal long yang shar

As the naturally occurring, unimpeded vast expanse arose—

རྒྱལ་བ་ཞང་སྟོན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

gyalwa zhang tön la chaktsal

Gyalwa Zhangtön, to you I pay homage.

རང་བཞིན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་རོལ་པའི་ངང༌། །

rangzhin lhün dzok rolpé ngang

In the play of natural, spontaneous perfection,

ཀུན་བཟང་དགོངས་པ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་ཞིང༌། །

kunzang gongpa tarchin zhing

You fully mastered Samantabhadra’s wisdom mind

ཤེས་བྱ་ཀུན་ལ་ཐོགས་པ་མེད། །

sheja kün la tokpamé

And gained unobstructed understanding of all that is knowable—

མཁས་པ་ཉི་འབུམ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

khepa nyi bum la chaktsal

Khepa Nyibum, to you I pay homage.

རང་བཞིན་གཉུག་མ་གདལ་བའི་ཀློང༌། །

rangzhin nyukma dalwé long

The pervasive expanse, natural and genuine,

གཟུང་འཛིན་རང་གྲོལ་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ངང༌། །

zungdzin rangdrol chökü ngang

Dharmakāya in which duality is freed by itself,

གསལ་སྟོང་འཛིན་མེད་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད། །

saltong dzinmé ngowo nyi

The actual nature, clear and empty, beyond grasping—

གུ་རུ་ཇོ་འབེར་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

guru jo ber la chaktsal

Guru Jober, to you I pay homage.

གཉིས་འཛིན་འཁྲུལ་པ་རང་སར་ཞིག །

nyidzin trulpa rang sar zhik

With the delusion of dualistic grasping destroyed in its own place,

སྤང་བླང་རེ་དོགས་དབྱིངས་སུ་གྲོལ། །

panglang redok ying su drol

Adoption and avoidance, hopes and fears were released in basic space,

འགྱུར་མེད་སྙིང་པོའི་ཀློང་དུ་རྫོགས། །

gyurmé nyingpö long du dzok

And you attained perfection in the expanse of the changeless essence—

སེང་གེ་རྒྱབ་པ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

sengé gyabpa la chaktsal

Sengge Gyabpa, to you I pay homage.

ལྷུན་རྫོགས་རོལ་པ་ཀུན་བཟང་ངང༌། །

lhün dzok rolpa kunzang ngang

In the state of Samantabhadra, the play of spontaneous perfection,

ཐམས་ཅད་རང་གྲོལ་འོད་གསལ་ཤར། །

tamché rangdrol ösal shar

Everything arose as self-liberated luminosity,

དཔེ་མེད་ནམ་མཁའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་པ། །

pemé namkhé naljorpa

And you became a space-like yogin without peer—

མེ་ལོང་མཚན་ཅན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

melong tsenchen la chaktsal

One named Melong, to you I pay homage.

སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་དངོས་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ཀློང༌། །

sangye kün ngö chökü long

All the buddhas in person, dharmakāya expanse,

ཟག་མེད་རང་གྲོལ་དགེ་འདུན་ཆེ། །

zakmé rangdrol gendün ché

Immaculate and naturally free, great saṅgha assembly,

དུས་གསུམ་འཕོ་འགྱུར་མེད་པའི་ངང༌། །

dü sum pogyur mepé ngang

In the state that does not move or change throughout the three times—

ཀུ་མ་རཱ་ཛ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

ku ma radza la chaktsal

Kumārādza, to you I pay homage.

གདོད་མའི་ཆོས་དབྱིངས་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང༌། །

dömé chöying kuntuzang

The All Good, Samantabhadra, primordial dharmadhātu—

ལྷུན་མཉམ་ངང་ལས་མི་གཡོ་ཞིང༌། །

lhün nyam ngang lé mi yo zhing

Without wavering from this spontaneous, even state,

མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་བསམ་ཡས་བརྙེས། །

khyentsé trinlé samyé nyé

You mastered the inconceivable activity of wisdom and love.

དྲི་མེད་འོད་ཟེར་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ། །

drimé özer la chaktsal

Drimé Özer, to you I pay homage.

ངོ་བོ་བརྗོད་འདས་ནམ་མཁའ་ཀློང༌། །

ngowo jö dé namkha long

The essence, sky-like expanse beyond expression,

རང་བཞིན་འོད་གསལ་མཉམ་སྦྱོར་ཞིང༌། །

rangzhin ösal nyamjor zhing

Is perfectly united with the nature, luminosity,

ཐུགས་རྗེ་འགྲོ་ཀུན་ཡོངས་ལ་ཁྱབ། །

tukjé dro kün yong la khyab

And compassionate responsiveness extends to all—

སྐྱབས་མཆོག་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

kyab chok khyé la chaktsal lo

Supreme refuge, to you I pay homage.

སྙིང་པོའི་ཀློང་དུ་ཡེ་ནས་གྲོལ། །

nyingpö long du yené drol

Primordially free in the expanse of the essence,

གསལ་སྣང་ཞིང་ཁམས་ཆེན་པོར་རྒྱས། །

sal nang zhingkham chenpor gyé

With clear vision developed into a vast pure realm.

ཐམས་ཅད་མཉམ་སྦྱོར་ནམ་མཁའི་ངང༌། །

tamché nyamjor namkhé ngang

Everything is united in the sky-like state—

དཔེ་བྲལ་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

pedral khyé la chaktsal lo

Peerless one, to you I pay homage.

ཡེ་ནས་ཀུན་བཟང་རོལ་པའི་ངང༌། །

yené kunzang rolpé ngang

In the primordial play of Samantabhadra

ཁྱེད་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་མཉམ་བཞག་ཀྱང༌། །

khyé ni taktu nyamzhak kyang

You abide continuously through equipoise,

ནོར་བུ་ཇི་བཞིན་གཞན་དོན་མཛད། །

norbu jizhin zhendön dzé

And yet, like a jewel, accomplish beings’ aims—

ཡིད་བཞིན་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

yizhin khyé la chaktsal lo

Wish-fulfilling one, to you I pay homage.

ཏིང་འཛིན་དང་ནི་མངོན་ཤེས་ཀྱིས། །

tingdzin dang ni ngönshé kyi

Through concentration and clairvoyance,

གདུལ་བྱ་འཇིག་རྟེན་མ་ལུས་ཀུན། །

dulja jikten malü kün

You lead all those to be trained in this world

གདོད་མའི་ཀློང་དུ་འཁྲིད་མཛད་པའི། །

dömé long du tri dzepé

To the primordial expanse—

དེད་དཔོན་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

depön khyé la chaktsal lo

Guiding captain, to you I pay homage.

འཁོར་བར་མགོན་མེད་རབ་འཁྱམས་ཤིང༌། །

khorwar gönmé rab khyam shing

Like a great vessel, you liberate all who wander

སྡུག་བསྔལ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཀློང་ཡངས་ལས། །

dukngal gyatsö long yang lé

Endlessly and without protection in saṃsāra,

སྒྲོལ་བར་མཛད་པའི་གྲུ་བོ་ཆེ། །

drolwar dzepé druwo ché

Rescuing them from the vast ocean of misery—

བརྩེ་ཆེན་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

tsé chen khyé la chaktsal lo

Great benevolent one, to you I pay homage.

ལས་དང་ཉོན་མོངས་འཁྲུལ་འཁོར་གྱིས། །

lé dang nyönmong trulkhor gyi

You reveal the direct path, self-liberation of discarded and antidote,

ཡུན་རིང་སྲིད་པར་འདུག་པ་ལ། །

yün ring sipar dukpa la

To those who have long dwelled in existence

སྤངས་གཉེན་རང་གྲོལ་མངོན་སུམ་ལམ། །

pang nyen rangdrol ngönsum lam

Through the delusory cycle of karma and afflictions—

སྟོན་མཆོག་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

tön chok khyé la chaktsal lo

Supreme guide, to you I pay homage.

གང་ཞིག་མཐོང་བས་རབ་དད་ཅིང༌། །

gangzhik tongwé rab dé ching

Seeing you inspires faith;

ཐོས་པས་ཐེ་ཚོམ་དྲ་བ་གཅོད། །

töpé tetsom drawa chö

Hearing you cuts the web of doubt;

རེག་པས་བྱིན་རླབས་དངོས་གྲུབ་འབྱུང༌། །

rekpé jinlab ngödrub jung

Meeting you brings blessings and attainment—

མཚུངས་བྲལ་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

tsungdral khyö la chaktsal lo

Incomparable one, to you I pay homage.

གང་ཞིག་ཁྱོད་སྐུ་མཐོང་བ་དང༌། །

gangzhik khyö ku tongwa dang

Now and forever, I also pay homage

ཁྱོད་གསུང་ཐོས་དང་འཛིན་པ་ཡི། །

khyö sung tö dang dzinpa yi

Even to all those beings

འགྲོ་བ་དེ་དག་ཀུན་ལ་ཡང༌། །

drowa dedak kün la yang

Who have seen your form

རྟག་ཏུ་བདག་ནི་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

taktu dak ni chaktsal lo

Or heard and remembered your speech.

དེ་བཞིན་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་སངས་རྒྱས་དང༌། །

dezhin chok chü sangye dang

Likewise, to the buddhas of the ten directions,

ཆོས་དང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་ཚོགས། །

chö dang changchub sempé tsok

The Dharma and the hosts of bodhisattvas,

ཉན་ཐོས་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀུན་ལའང༌། །

nyentö rangsang gyé kün la ang

And all the śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas,

རྟག་ཏུ་གུས་པས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །

taktu güpé chaktsal lo

In devotion, I constantly pay homage.

འཇིག་རྟེན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཀློང་ཡངས་ནས། །

jikten gyatsö long yang né

Billowing clouds of offering gifts

མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་གྱི་ཕུང་པོ་ནི། །

chöpé trin gyi pungpo ni

From the vast ocean of the world,

མཁའ་དང་མཉམ་པ་ཇི་སྙེད་ཀྱིས། །

kha dang nyampa jinyé kyi

Equal in size to space itself,

བླ་མའི་ཚོགས་དང་དཀོན་མཆོག་མཆོད། །

lamé tsok dang könchok chö

I present to the gurus and Three Jewels.

དེ་བཞིན་དངོས་དང་ཡིད་ལས་སྐྱེས། །

dezhin ngö dang yi lé kyé

Likewise, actual gifts and those born of the imagination

བླ་ན་ཡོད་མེད་མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན། །

lana yömé chöpé trin

In billowing clouds of unsurpassable offerings,

ལུས་དང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ལ་སོགས་ཀྱིས། །

lü dang longchö lasok kyi

My own body and possessions and the like,

མཆོད་འོས་ཀུན་ལ་མཆོད་པར་བགྱི། །

chö ö kün la chöpar gyi

I present to all who are worthy of reverence.

ཐམས་ཅད་ཀུན་བཟང་རོལ་པའི་ངང༌། །

tamché kunzang rolpé ngang

Everything is the play of Samantabhadra,

མཆོད་པར་མི་འོས་གང་ཡང་མེད། །

chöpar mi ö gangyang mé

In which nothing is not fit to be offered.

སྣང་སྟོང་མཆོད་སྤྲིན་རོལ་པ་ཡིས། །

nangtong chötrin rolpa yi

With gift clouds, the play of empty appearance,

ཀུན་ལ་དེ་བཞིན་མཆོད་པར་བགྱི། །

kün la dezhin chöpar gyi

I likewise present offerings to all.

ཐོག་མ་མེད་ནས་ལུས་དང་ངག །

tokma mé né lü dang ngak

Whatever negative acts I have committed

ཡིད་ཀྱིས་སྡིག་པའི་ལས་བགྱིས་པ། །

yi kyi dikpé lé gyipa

With body, speech or mind throughout beginningless time,

དེ་ཀུན་རབ་ཏུ་འགྱོད་སེམས་ཀྱིས། །

dé kün rabtu gyösem kyi

All of them, with a mind of intense remorse,

མཆོད་འོས་ཀུན་གྱི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བཤགས། །

chö ö kün gyi chen ngar shak

I now confess in the presence of all who are worthy of respect.

དྲི་མ་གློ་བུར་དང་ལྡན་ཞིང༌། །

drima lobur dangden zhing

Whatever appears as a temporary defilement,

ཡོན་ཏན་ཡེ་ནས་རྫོགས་པའི་ངང༌། །

yönten yené dzokpé ngang

In the state in which qualities have always been perfect,

འཁྲུལ་བའི་བག་ཆགས་ཅི་མཆིས་པ། །

trulwé bakchak chichi pa

Such habitual traces of confusion, however many there may be,

ཐམས་ཅད་ཀུན་བཟང་རོལ་པར་བཤགས། །

tamché kunzang rolpar shak

I confess them all in Samantabhadra’s display.

ཡེ་ནས་གྲོལ་བའི་དེ་བཞིན་ཉིད། །

yené drolwé dezhin nyi

In the nature as it is, free from the beginning,

སྤང་བླང་རེ་དོགས་མེད་པའི་ངང༌། །

panglang redok mepé ngang

A state beyond adoption and rejection, hope and fear,

ཆོས་ཀུན་བསམ་བརྗོད་མེད་པའི་དབྱིངས། །

chö kün sam jömé pé ying

The space in which all dharmas are beyond imagination and expression,

རང་བཞིན་གདོད་མའི་ཀློང་དུ་བཤགས། །

rangzhin dömé long du shak

In the expanse of the primordial nature, I confess.

བླ་ན་ཡོད་མེད་དགེ་བའི་ཚོགས། །

lana yömé gewé tsok

In the accumulations of virtue, ordinary and unsurpassed,

བགྱིད་དང་བགྱིད་སྩལ་བགྱིས་པ་ལའང༌། །

gyi dang gyi tsal gyipa la ang

Which I have made myself or arranged for others to perform,

དགའ་བས་རྗེས་སུ་ཡི་རང་ཞིང༌། །

gawé jesu yi rang zhing

I take delight, celebrate and rejoice.

རང་གྲོལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་བསྐོར། །

rangdrol chö kyi khorlo kor

Turn the wheel, I beg you, of the Dharma of self-liberation.

ཀུན་ཀྱང་ཡེ་ནས་སྐྱེ་ཤི་མེད། །

kün kyang yené kyeshi mé

In the vast expanse, beyond union and separation,

འདུ་འབྲལ་མེད་པའི་ཀློང་ཡངས་ལ། །

dudral mepé long yang la

In which all is primordially free from birth and death,

མྱ་ངན་མི་འདའ་རྟག་པར་ཡང༌། །

nya ngen mi da takpar yang

Do not pass into nirvāṇa, but remain forever

སྒྱུ་མ་ཙམ་དུ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

gyuma tsam du solwa deb

Solely as a magical illusion, I pray.

གདོད་ནས་ཁྱབ་བདག་རོལ་པ་ཆེ། །

döné khyabdak rolpa ché

Towards the self-liberation of all beings without exception

རང་གྲོལ་ཀུན་བཟང་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཡི། །

rangdrol kunzang chöku yi

As the self-liberated dharmakāya Samantabhadra,

འགྲོ་ཀུན་མ་སྤངས་རང་གྲོལ་དུ། །

dro kün ma pang rangdrol du

The great all-pervasive, primordial lord,

དགེ་བ་གཉུག་མར་བསྔོ་བར་བགྱི། །

gewa nyukmar ngowar gyi

I genuinely dedicate all virtue.

དེང་ནས་བྱང་ཆུབ་སྙིང་པོའི་བར། །

deng né changchub nyingpö bar

From now until I reach the essence of enlightenment,

འགྲོ་བའི་ཁམས་ཀུན་རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཕྱིར། །

drowé kham kün namdrol chir

In order to liberate every domain of living beings,

སྨོན་ལམ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཀློང་ཡང་འདེབས། །

mönlam gyatsö long yang deb

I shall make vast aspirations like waves upon the ocean.

མ་སྤངས་དབྱིངས་སུ་གྲོལ་བར་ཤོག །

ma pang ying su drolwar shok

Let no one be forsaken and all be liberated into basic space.

ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ནམ་མཁའི་རང་བཞིན་ལ། །

tsultrim namkhé rangzhin la

In the sky that has the nature of ethical discipline,

བློ་གྲོས་འོད་གསལ་ཉི་ཟླ་ཡིས། །

lodrö ösal nyida yi

Let the sun and moon¹ of luminous intelligence

འགྲོ་བའི་མུན་པ་རབ་སེལ་ཞིང༌། །

drowé münpa rab sel zhing

Thoroughly dispel the darkness in the minds of beings,

གདོད་མའི་ཀློང་དུ་གྲོལ་བར་ཤོག །

dömé long du drolwar shok

So they may be liberated into the primordial expanse.

སེམས་ཅན་ཇི་སྲིད་གནས་ཀྱི་བར། །

semchen jisi né kyi bar

For as long as sentient beings endure,

འགྲོ་བ་ཕན་པའི་ཡིད་བཞིན་དུ། །

drowa penpé yizhin du

May I too remain as a granter of wishes

བདག་ནི་དེང་ནས་གནས་གྱུར་ཏེ། །

dak ni deng né né gyur té

To benefit living beings from now on,

སྐུ་གསུམ་འབྲས་བུ་ཐོབ་པར་ཤོག །

ku sum drebu tobpar shok

So they may attain the three-kāya fruition!

གང་སྣང་མི་སྤོང་མི་སྒྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །

gang nang mi pong mi drub ching

Without rejecting or cultivating whatever appears,

རང་གྲོལ་གཉུག་མ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ། །

rangdrol nyukma chö kyi ku

And without allowing whatever arises to deviate

གང་ཤར་དོན་ལས་མ་འདས་པའི། །

gangshar dön lé madepé

From the genuine dharmakāya of self-liberation,

ལྷག་མཐོང་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཐོབ་གྱུར་ཅིག །

lhaktong yeshe tob gyur chik

May we attain the wisdom of penetrative insight.

འཁོར་དང་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པའི་ཆོས། །

khor dang nya ngen depé chö

With great assurance born of realizing the equal taste

རོ་མཉམ་རྟོགས་པའི་གདེང་ཆེན་གྱིས། །

ronyam tokpé deng chen gyi

Of the phenomena of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa,

གང་ཡང་མི་སྤོང་མི་སྒྲུབ་ཅིང༌། །

gangyang mi pong mi drub ching

Let us neither reject nor cultivate,

གཉུག་མའི་རང་བཞིན་རྫོགས་པ་ཆེ། །

nyukmé rangzhin dzogpa ché

But find perfection in the expanse of non-action,

བྱར་མེད་ཀློང་ཏུ་རྫོགས་པར་ཤོག །

jarmé long tu dzokpar shok

The great perfection of our genuine nature.

དབང་པོའི་སྐལ་པ་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ། །

wangpö kalpa jizhin du

According to the capacity of our faculties,

ཚེ་འདི་ཉིད་དམ་བར་དོ་རུ། །

tsé di nyi dam bardo ru

In this very lifetime or during the bardos,

སྐྱེ་བ་གཞན་དུ་གོམས་བྱས་ཏེ། །

kyewa zhendu gom jé té

Or through training in other future lives,

སྐུ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

ku dang yeshe drubpar shok

Let us master the kāyas and wisdoms.

རྣམ་སྨིན་འབྱུང་བའི་ལུས་འདི་ཡང༌། །

nammin jungwé lü di yang

Let this body too, formed through karmic ripening,

རང་མདངས་འོད་ཀྱི་རང་བཞིན་སྐུ། །

rang dang ö kyi rangzhin ku

Become a kāya of light, born of natural radiance,

ཕུང་པོ་ལྷག་མེད་འགྲུབ་གྱུར་ནས། །

pungpo lhakmé drub gyur né

In which no trace of ordinary aggregates remains,

འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་ཀུན་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

drowé dön kün drubpar shok

And thereby may I accomplish all of beings’ aims.

ཀུན་བཟང་ཆོས་སྐུའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད། །

kunzang chökü ngowo nyi

The very essence of the dharmakāya Samantabhadra,

ཡོན་ཏན་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་དངོས་གྲུབ་གཏེར། །

yönten lhün dzok ngödrub ter

Treasures of attainment with spontaneously perfect qualities—

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས། །

palden lamé tsok nam kyi

May the hosts of glorious gurus

རྟག་ཏུ་བདག་ནི་སྐྱོང་བར་ཤོག །

taktu dak ni kyongwar shok

Always sustain me with their care.

ཨེ་མ་གང་ཡང་མ་གྲུབ་ལ། །

ema gangyang ma drub la

Ema! In the absence of anything real,

གང་དུ་འང་ནི་མི་གནས་ཤིང༌། །

gangdu ang ni mi né shing

There is no remaining anywhere,

གང་གིས་ཀྱང་ནི་མ་གཡོས་པ། །

gang gi kyang ni mayöpa

And nothing that might proceed—

དོན་དམ་བདེན་པ་མཐོང་བར་ཤོག །

döndam denpa tongwar shok

May we see the ultimate reality!

ཆོས་རྣམས་རང་བཞིན་མ་སྐྱེས་པ། །

chö nam rangzhin makyepa

As all phenomena are by nature unborn,

གདོད་ནས་མྱ་ངན་འདས་པ་ཡིས། །

döné nya ngen depa yi

Transcending sorrow from the beginning,

ཡེ་ནས་འོད་གསལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ། །

yené ösal chö kyi ku

May we realize naturally occurring wisdom,

རང་བྱུང་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྟོགས་པར་ཤོག །

rangjung yeshe tokpar shok

The primordial luminous dharmakāya.

དེ་ལྟར་བླ་མའི་ཚོགས་རྣམས་ལ། །

detar lamé tsok nam la

Through all the virtue thus acquired

དད་པས་དགེ་བསགས་དངོས་ཀུན་གྱིས། །

depé gé sak ngö kün gyi

Through devotion to the hosts of gurus,

འགྲོ་ཀུན་རང་གྲོལ་གཉུག་མའི་ངང༌། །

dro kün rangdrol nyukmé ngang

May all beings discover the genuine state of self-liberation,

ཀུན་བཟང་ཀློང་དུ་རྫོགས་པར་ཤོག །

kunzang long du dzokpar shok

And find perfection in Samantabhadra’s expanse.

དེང་ནས་བདག་དང་འགྲོ་བ་ཀུན། །

deng né dak dang drowa kün

From now on, may I and all beings

སེམས་དང་སེམས་ཉིད་ཀུན་བཟང་ཀློང༌། །

sem dang semnyi kunzang long

Reach total perfection of mind and its nature

གདོད་མའི་ངང་དུ་རབ་རྫོགས་ནས། །

dömé ngang du rabdzok né

Within the primordial sphere, Samantabhadra’s expanse,

འགྲོ་བའི་དོན་ཀུན་འགྲུབ་པར་ཤོག །

drowé dön kün drubpar shok

And thereby accomplish all the aims of wandering beings.

བླ་མ་བརྒྱུད་པའི་རིམ་པ་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་པ་ཡིད་བཞིན་ནོར་བུ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ། བླ་མ་དམ་པ་རྣམས་ལ་མི་ཕྱེད་པའི་དད་པ་དང་ལྡན་ཞིང༌། ལུང་དང༌། རིག་པ་དང༌། མན་ངག་གི་དོན་ལ་བློ་གྲོས་ཀྱི་སྣང་བ་གོང་དུ་འཕེལ་བའི་ཆོས་སྨྲ་བ། དཔལ་ལྡན་བསམ་ཡས་པ་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བློ་གྲོས་ཀྱིས་མཆིམས་ཕུ་དཔལ་གྱི་དབེན་གནས་སུ་བཀོད་པའོ། །དགེའོ། །དགེའོ། །དགེའོ།། །།

This prayer to the lineage of gurus entitled Wish-Fulfilling Jewel was composed at Chimphu, a splendid place of retreat, by Tsultrim Lodrö, the one from glorious Samyé, who possesses unshakeable faith in the sublime gurus and is an exponent of Dharma for whom the light of intelligent understanding of scripture, reasoning and pith instructions ever waxes. May it be virtuous! Virtuous! Virtuous!
