༄༅། །མྱུར་བྱོན་གསོལ་འདེབས།

A Prayer for the Swift Return of Kyabje Thrangu Rinpoche

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།

om svasti

Oṃ svasti!

གདོད་ནས་དྲི་བྲལ་རང་རིག་གཉུག་མའི་གཤིས། །

döné dridral rangrig nyukmé shi

You manifest the play of the innate state of natural awareness – primordially pure

ལྷན་སྐྱེས་འོད་གསལ་བདེ་ཆེན་མངོན་མཛད་ཅིང་། །

lhenkyé ösal dechen ngön dzé ching

And free from all blemish – co-emergent with great luminous bliss

གང་འདུལ་རོལ་པས་ཀ༵རྨ༵་བཀའ་བརྒྱུད་བསྟན། །

gang dul rolpé karma kagyü ten

And, appearing in whichever way is appropriate, are the protector of beings

བློ༵་གྲོས༵་སྤོབས་པས་གསལ་མཛད་འགྲོ་བའི་མགོན། །

lodrö pobpé sal dzé drowé gön

Who, with your formidable intelligence, elucidates the teachings of the Karma Kagyü.

ངེས་དོན་སྙིང་པོའི་རིང༵་ལུགས༵་སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི། །

ngedön nyingpö ringluk drubgyü kyi

You are a lion of the tradition of the quintessence of definitive meaning,

ཟླ་བྲལ་ལུང་རིག་སྨྲ་བ༵འི་སེ༵ངྒེ༵་ཡིས། །

dadral lung rik mawé sengé yi

The lineage of accomplishment, whose peerless roar of scripture and logic

ལྟ་དམན་རི་དྭགས་ཟིལ་གྱིས་གནོན་བཞིན་དུ། །

tamen ridak zil gyi nön zhindu

Subdues the animals of inferior views.

གློ་བུར་ཞི་བའི་དབྱིངས་སུ་གཞོལ་མཛད་དགོངས། །

lobur zhiwé ying su zhol dzé gong

Yet, you have suddenly departed to the peace of the dhātu – kindly pay me heed!

རིང་ནས་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་དམ་བཅའི་གོ་ཆ་ཡིས། །

ring né tukkyé damché gocha yi

Long ago, you donned the armour of a pledge to awaken.

འགྲོ་བ་སྤྱི་དང་ཉམ་ཐག་བུ་སློབ་རྣམས། །

drowa chi dang nyamtak bulob nam

Accordingly, I implore you not to abandon beings, particularly your disciples,

ཡལ་བར་མ་དོར་དབྱིངས་ནས་བརྩེ་བས་དགོངས། །

yalwar ma dor ying né tsewé gong

Who have been left in despair. Regard us from the dhātu with love,

ཡང་སྤྲུལ་མཚུངས་བྲལ་ཟླ་ཞལ་མྱུར་འཆར་གསོལ། །

yangtrul tsungdral da zhal nyur char sol

And swiftly return, displaying the full moon of an incomparable emanation.

ཞེས་པའང་སྒྲུབ་བརྒྱུད་བསྟན་པའི་གསལ་བྱེད་ངེས་པ་དོན་གྱི་མཁན་ཆེན་ཡོངས་འཛིན་༧ སྐྱབས་རྗེ་ཀརྨ་བློ་གྲོས་རིང་ལུགས་སྨྲ་བའི་སེངྒེ་མཆོག་ནས། རྒྱལ་མཆོག་རིག་པའི་རྡོར་རྗེས།  ཁོ་བོ་རབ་འབྱམས་གོང་མའི་མཚན་གསོལ་ཁྲི་སྟོན་སྐབས་མཎྜལ་ལྗགས་བཤད་དང་དུས་རྒྱུན་ཐུགས་བརྩེ་གནང་ཞིང་ཉེ་ཆར་ཞིང་དུ་མ་གཤེགས་གོང་ཞལ་མཇལ་ཞུས་པའི་སྐབས་དགྱེས་བརྩེའི་བཀའ་སློབ་ཟབ་མོ་གནང་བའི་བཀའ་དྲིན་གཞལ་ཟླ་ཅིང། ད་ལམ་མགོན་པོ་གང་ཉིད་ཞི་བར་གཤེག་ཚུལ་སྟན་པ་ལ་བློ་ཕམ་ཅས་་ཡོད་པ་ལ་ཁྲ་འགུ་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ཆོས་གླིང་དགོན་འདུས་སྤྱི་ནས་ནས་མྱུར་བྱོན་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྲིས་ཞེས་བསྐུལ་མ་བྱུང་བ་ཞིན། རབ་གནས་ཆུ་ཡོས་ས་ཟླའི་གནམ་གང་ཉིན། ཞེ་ཆེན་རབ་འབྱམས་བདུན་པའི་མཚན་འཛིན་ནས་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའོ།། །།

The elucidator of the lineage of accomplishment, the great Khenpo of definitive meaning, the Supreme Lord of Refuge, Yongdzin Karma Lodrö Ringlug Maway Sengge, showed great kindness to the teachings of Buddha in general and those of the Karma Kagyü in particular. Personally speaking, when the Supreme Buddha, the Sixteenth Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, declared that I was the tulku of Shechen Rabjam and enthroned me as such, Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche explained and presented the maṇḍala offering. Since that time, Rinpoche has shown me continual love and kindness. I recently visited Rinpoche at his Namo Buddha residence, where he gave me much profound advice. His kindness to me has been exceptional and without measure.

Our protector has now shown us the aspect of departing for realms of peace, leaving us in grief and sorrow. Thrangu Tashi Choling Monastery (acting on behalf of all Thrangu Monasteries, Nunneries and Dharma Centres) stated the need for a prayer for the swift return of Thrangu Rinpoche and requested I write one. Accordingly, I, the one who holds the name of the Seventh Shechen Rabjam, composed and made this prayer in the sacred place of Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Paro, in the southern region of Bhutan on the auspicious thirtieth day of the Water Rabbit Year, according to the lunar calendar.
