༄༅། །སྐྱབས་འགྲོ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད།

Verses of Refuge and Bodhichitta

འགྲོ་རྣམས་བསྒྲལ་འདོད་བསམ་པ་ཡིས། །

dro nam dral dö sampa yi

Motivated by the wish to free all beings,

སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་ལ། །

sangye chö dang gendün la

Continually, I shall take refuge

བྱང་ཆུབ་སྙིང་པོར་མཆིས་ཀྱི་བར། །

changchub nyingpor chi kyi bar

In the Buddha, Dharma and Saṅgha,

རྟག་པར་བདག་ནི་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི། །

takpar dak ni kyab su chi

Till the essence of enlightenment is reached.

ཤེས་རབ་སྙིང་བརྩེ་དང་བཅས་པས། །

sherab nying tsé dang chepé

With wisdom and with heartfelt love,

བརྩོན་པས་སེམས་ཅན་དོན་དུ་བདག །

tsönpé semchen döndu dak

Diligently, for the sake of sentient beings,

སངས་རྒྱས་མདུན་དུ་གནས་བགྱིས་ནས། །

sangye dündu né gyi né

I shall place myself before the buddhas,

རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ། །

dzokpé changchub semkyé do

And generate the perfect mind of bodhicitta.

ཁ་ཆེའི་པཎ་ཆེན་ཤཱཀྱ་ཤྲཱི།
