Magnetizing Prayer

ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་ཧྲཱིཿ

om ah hung hrih

oṃ āḥ hūṃ hrīḥ

འགྱུར་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་གསལ་ཆོས་སྐུའི་དབྱིངས། །

gyurmé yeshe ösal chökü ying

In the luminous dharmakāya space of unchanging primordial wisdom,

ཟག་མེད་རང་བྱུང་འོད་ལྔ་འཁྲུགས་པའི་ཞིང་། །

zakmé rangjung ö nga trukpé zhing

A realm where immaculate, self-arisen lights of five colours flicker,

བདེ་ཆེན་པདྨ་འཁྱིལ་བའི་ཕོ་བྲང་ནས། །

dechen pema khyilwé podrang né

Is the palace of the swirling lotuses of great bliss;

ཚད་མེད་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་བརྩེ་བས་རྗེས་ཆགས་པའི། །

tsemé tukjé tsewé jé chakpé

From which, moved by the intense love of boundless compassion,

བསམ་ཡས་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་དྲྭ་བའི་རོལ་གར་ལས། །

samyé gyutrul drawé rol gar lé

Arise unimaginable, dance-like displays of illusory manifestation:

སོར་རྟོགས་ཡེ་ཤེས་གཟི་བརྗིད་འོད་མཐའ་ཡས། །

sortok yeshe ziji ö tayé

Amitābha, ‘Boundless Light’, the brilliance of discerning wisdom,

འཇིག་རྟེན་དབང་ཕྱུག་པདྨ་གར་གྱི་དབང་། །

jikten wangchuk pema gar gyi wang

Padma Naṭeśvara, ‘Lotus Lord of the Dance’, master of all the world,

འཁོར་འདས་སྤྱི་དཔལ་དབང་ཆེན་རྟ་གདོང་བཞད། །

khordé chipal wangchen ta dong zhé

Mighty Hayagrīva, universal splendour of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa,

ཁམས་གསུམ་དབང་སྡུད་པདྨ་རྒྱལ་པོ་མཆོག །

kham sum wangdü pema gyalpo chok

Sublime Pema Gyalpo, ‘Lotus King’, who controls the three realms,

བདེ་ཆེན་གསང་བ་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཌཱ་ཀྐི་མ། །

dechen sangwa yeshe dakki ma

Guhyajñāna, ‘Secret Wisdom’, ḍākinī of great bliss,

སྲིད་ཞིའི་དངོས་ཀུན་དབང་མཛད་རིག་བྱེད་དབང་། །

sizhi ngö kün wang dzé rikjé wang

Kurukullā, magnetizer of everything in existence and quiescence,

སྣང་སྲིད་ཟིལ་གནོན་བདེ་མཆོག་འདོད་པའི་རྒྱལ། །

nangsi zilnön demchok döpé gyal

Saṃvara, king of desire who subjugates appearance and existence,

མགོན་དམར་ཆགས་པའི་རྡོ་རྗེ་དྲེགས་ཚོགས་འདུལ། །

gön mar chakpé dorjé drek tsok dul

Red Mahākāla, passionate vajra, subduer of the arrogant hordes,

སྲིད་གསུམ་དབང་མཛད་ལྷ་ཆེན་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་བདག །

si sum wang dzé lhachen tsok kyi dak

Great deity Gaṇapati, magnetizer of the triple world,

ཁམས་གསུམ་ཡིད་འགུག་ཁྲོ་བོ་འདོད་པའི་རྒྱལ། །

kham sum yiguk trowo döpé gyal

Wrathful Ṭakkirāja, captivator of the three realms,

འཇིག་རྟེན་མེས་པོ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལྷ་ཆེན་པོ། །

jikten mepo wangchuk lha chenpo

Lord Mahādeva, progenitor of all the world,

བདེ་ཆེན་དགྱེས་དགུའི་གར་རོལ་འདོད་དབང་མ། །

dechen gyé gü gar rol döwang ma

Mistress of desire, playful emanation of every form of bliss and delight,

སྲིད་ཞིའི་ལེགས་ཚོགས་དབང་སྡུད་གེ་སར་རྒྱལ། །

sizhi lektsok wangdü gesar gyal

King Gesar, attractor of all that is good in existence and quiescence—

དབང་གི་ལས་ལ་མངའ་བརྙེས་རྩ་གསུམ་ལྷ། །

wang gi lé la nga nyé tsa sum lha

Three Root deities who have mastered the activity of magnetizing,

གསང་བ་དགྱེས་བདེའི་གར་རོལ་དཔའ་བོའི་སྡེ། །

sangwa gyé dé gar rol pawö dé

Heroic warriors who enjoy the secret play of bliss and delight,

ཡིད་ཅན་བརྟན་པ་འཕྲོག་མཛད་ཌཀྐིའི་ཚོགས། །

yichen tenpa trok dzé daki tsok

Hosts of ḍākinīs who captivate the minds of all,

བདེ་སྟོང་སྒྱུ་མའི་གར་གྱིས་རྗེས་ཆགས་གཟུགས། །

detong gyumé gar gyi jé chak zuk

In your seductive guise of illusory bliss and emptiness,

མཛེས་བརྗིད་སྐུ་ཡི་གར་གྱིས་ནམ་མཁའ་གང་། །

dzé ji ku yi gar gyi namkha gang

Let your beautiful, impressive dance of form fill the whole of space,

འགག་མེད་གསུང་གི་སྙན་འགྱུར་སྟོང་ཁམས་ཁྱབ། །

gakmé sung gi nyen gyur tong kham khyab

Let the ceaseless melody of your speech pervade a thousand realms,

བདེ་སྟོང་རིག་པའི་རྩལ་སྣང་འཁོར་འདས་གཡོ། །

detong rigpé tsalnang khordé yo

And the expressions of your bliss-empty awareness move saṃsāra and nirvāṇa.

ངོ་མཚར་དབང་གི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ལྷ་ཚོགས་ལ། །

ngotsar wang gi trinlé lhatsok la

Wondrous deities of magnetizing activity,

གདུང་བས་གསོལ་འདེབས་བརྩེ་བས་རྗེས་དགོངས་ཏེ། །

dungwé soldeb tsewé jé gong té

Fervently I pray to you: consider me with your love.

གཞི་གྲོལ་དག་མཉམ་ཡེ་ཤེས་བྱིན་ཆེན་གྱིས། །

zhi drol dak nyam yeshe jin chen gyi

Through the great blessing of basic freedom, pure and equal,

སྒོ་གསུམ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གསུམ་དུ་ལྷུན་རྫོགས་ནས། །

go sum dorjé sum du lhün dzok né

May my three doors be spontaneously perfected as the three vajras,

འཁོར་འདས་ཆོས་ཀུན་བདེ་ཆེན་ཐིག་ལེར་བཟླུམ། །

khordé chö kün dechen tikler dum

And the whole of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa enter the sphere of great bliss.

སྣང་སྲིད་དབང་སྡུད་མཆོག་ཐུན་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

nangsi wangdü choktün ngödrub tsol

Grant me supreme and ordinary siddhis for magnetizing appearance and existence, I pray.

 

ཅེས་སྣང་བ་དབང་སྡུད་ཀྱི་གསོལ་འདེབས་འདི་བཞིན་བྲི་བར་བྱོས་ཞེས་བསྟེན་མཁས་ཡོན་ཏན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་བདག་ཉིད་མཁན་ཀར་དགའ་མཆོག་ནས་སྟོན་པའི་སྐུ་བརྙན་སྤུས་ལེགས་ཀྱི་གནང་སྐྱེས་བཅས་ཡང་ཡང་གསུང་བསྐུལ་མ་ལྡོག་ཙམ་དུ་གྲུབ་རིགས་ཁྱུ་མཆོག་མིང་གིས་གང་དྲན་བྲིས་ཏེ་ཕུལ་བ་དོན་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག། །།

When the sublime Khenpo Karga, who personifies the oceanic qualities of steadfast discipline and erudition, repeatedly said that I should compose a magnetizing prayer such as this and offered an excellent image of the Teacher as a gift, I, the one named Druprik Khyuchok, wrote and offered whatever came to mind, simply to avoid turning down his request. May it prove meaningful!
