Final Testament of Senge Wangchuk

English |

The Final Testament of Chetsün Sengé Wangchuk1

from the Chetsün Nyingtik

ema nyönpa seng wang nga

Ema! For me, the madman Senge Wangchuk,

lé kyi lung zé yeshe gyé

Karmic winds are extinct and wisdom is thriving.

marik go ngé bub lé drol

Freed from the enclosure of five-door unawareness,

rangrig ösal bub su zhuk

I have entered the luminous sphere of my own rigpa.

go sum gyi trulpa zhik tsana

When the errors of the three doors have ended,

trul zhi tamché ya ré cha

How awful seems the entire basis of confusion!

trulnang gi düpa chö tsana

When knots of delusory experience are cut through,

semdzin zerwa tang ré ché

How exhausting seems so-called fixity of mind!

trulpa yeshe su shar tsana

When confusion dawns as primordial wisdom,

daknang tamché luwé chö

All pure appearances are things of deception.

tamché ying su tim tsana

When everything dissolves into absolute space,

chiyang mayin chiryang char

What is nothing can emerge as anything at all.

ema ema dampé kudrin lak

Ema! Ema! How wondrous the sublime teacher's kindness!

ema da ké tsik di nyingpö dön

Ema! This final testament conveys the essential meaning.

nying chung laktil zhakpa di lemé

It's none other than the heart, plucked and placed in the palm.

tsik gi tama dü tar nangwar shok

May these, my final words, re-emerge at the end of the age!

zakpa rang zé jungwa rang sar deng

With defilements naturally defunct and elements dissolved in themselves,

drenpa rangdrol zangtal ö kyi lü

With thinking naturally liberated and in a translucent body of light,

sengé wangchuk nyi dang nyampar shok

May we become the very equal of Sengé Wangchuk himself!
