༄༅། །དཔལ་མགོན་བླ་མའི་གསོལ་འདེབས་བྱིན་རླབས་མྱུར་སྟེར་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས།

A Prayer to the Glorious Protector Guru

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།

om swasti

Oṃ svasti!

འཇ༵མ་དཔལ་དབྱང༵ས་སོགས་རིགས་གསུམ་རྒྱལ་ཀུན་གྱི། །

jampal yang sok rik sum gyal kün gyi

Embodiment of all the qualities of knowledge, power and love

མཁྱེན་བརྩེ་ནུས་པའི་ཆོས༵་ཀུན་འདུས་པའི་གཟུགས། །

khyen tsé nü pé chö kündüpé zuk

Of Mañjughoṣa and all the other conquerors of the three families,

མཚོ་སྐྱེས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ཐུགས་ཀྱི༵་འོད་ཟེར་བཅུད། །

tsokyé dorjé tuk kyi özer chü

Essence of radiant light from the Lake-Born Vajra’s heart,

བློ༵་གྲོས༵་སྤོབས་མཐའ་ཡས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

lodrö pob tayé la solwa deb

With boundless intelligence and confidence—to you I pray.

བདེ་གཤེགས་ཀུན་གྱི་གསང་བ་མི་ཟད་དབྱིངས། །

deshek kün gyi sangwa mizé ying

In the basic space of the inexhaustible secrets of all the bliss-gone buddhas,

འཇ༵མ་དཔལ་དབྱང༵ས་སོགས་དཔལ་ཆེན་སྒྲུབ་སྡེ་བརྒྱད། །

jampal yang sok palchen drubdé gyé

Including Mañjughoṣa and the eight great glorious sādhana deities,

ཀུན་གྱི་ཁྱབ་བདག་རྒྱུ་འབྲས་ཆོས༵་ཀུན་གྱི༵། །

kün gyi khyabdak gyundré chö kün gyi

You are the all-pervasive lord, the source of all causal and resultant phenomena,

འབྱུང་གནས་བློ༵་གྲོས༵་རྨད་བྱུང་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

jungné lodrö mejung solwa deb

Master of wondrous intelligence—to you I pray.

འཇ༵མ་མཉེན་མཚན་དཔེའི་རྒྱལ་ཀུན་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐུ། །

jam nyen tsenpé gyal kün yeshe ku

Your gentle form embodies the wisdom all the victorious ones with their marks and signs,

ཟབ་རྒྱས་དབྱང༵ས་སྙན་ཆོས༵་ཀྱི༵ས་འགྲོ་ཀུན་སྒྲོལ། །

zabgyé yang nyen chö kyi dro kün drol

Your melodious voice proclaims the Dharma, vast and profound, which frees all beings,

མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་བློ༵་གྲོས༵་དཔག་ཡས་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ །

khyentsé lodrö pakyé heruka

Heruka, whose wise and loving intelligence knows no bounds,

གནས་གསུམ་མཁའ་འགྲོའི་མེས་པོར་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

né sum khandrö mepor solwa deb

Forefather of the ḍākinīs of the three abodes—to you I pray.

རྩ་གསུམ་ལྷ་ཡི་བདེན་པ་རྨད་བྱུང་གིས། །

tsa sum lha yi denpa mejung gi

Through the wondrous truth of the Three Root deities,

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་འཆི་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་གཟུགས། །

palden lama chimé yeshe zuk

May the glorious guru’s deathless wisdom form

སྙིང་གི་པདྨོར་རྟག་བརྟན་བཞུགས་པ་དང༌། །

nying gi pemor takten zhukpa dang

Remain forever in the lotus of my heart

ཚེ་རབས་ཀུན་ཏུ་རྗེས་སུ་འཛིན་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

tserab küntu jesu dzin gyur chik

And guide me throughout all my lives to come!

ཅེས་པའང་ལྷོ་འབྲུག་གི་སྨན་ལྗོངས་ཐར་པ་གླིང་ནས་རྒྱལ་ཁམས་པ་མངྒ་ལའི་མིང་གིས་རྩ་གསུམ་གྱི་ཚོགས་འབུམ་ཕྲག་འབུལ་བའི་སྐབས་དད་པའི་ཡིད་ཀྱིས་ས་ག་ཟླ་བའི་ཚེས་༨་ལ་སྨོན་པ་སིདྡྷི་རསྟུ། སྔོན་ཆད་ཞབས་བརྟན་དུ་བྲིས་པ་སླར་གསོལ་འདེབས་སུ་ཚིག་བསྒྱུར་བགྱིས་པའོ།།

In Tharpa Ling, in the medicinal land of southern Bhutan, a wanderer by the name of Maṅgala made this aspiration with a faithful mind on the eighth day of Saga Dawa, while making hundreds of thousands of feast offerings. Siddhirastu! (By adapting the words of a long-life prayer I had composed I transformed it into this supplication.)
