Prayer to the Lineage of Vajra Akṣobhya

by Gyurme Tsewang Chokdrup1

nangwa tayé chimé pema jung

Amitābha, Boundless Light, Immortal Padmākara,

dechen gyatso jé bang lotsawa

Tsogyal of great bliss, lord and subjects, lotsāwas,

gyutrul dorjé sönam déu tsen

Gyutrul Dorje,2 Sonam Deutsen,3

tashi özer jepön könchok gön

Tashi Özer, master Könchok Gön,

namkha gyatso drimé zhingkyong gön

Namkha Gyatso, Drimé Zhingkyong Gönpo,4

gyü sol kündü mindrol dakpo la

Master of maturing and liberating, embodiment of the whole lineage tradition,

solwa deb so chok gi ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the supreme attainment.

deden ngöngé zhingkham ngön nang shok

Make manifest the blissful pureland of Abhirati!

deshek chomden gönpo mitrukpa

To the bliss-gone conqueror, lord Akṣobhya,

ten dang tenpé khorlo lhün dzokpé

Together with all the display-like emanations

nyam rol trulpar ché la solwa deb

Of the spontaneously perfect maṇḍala, support and supported, I pray:

deden ngöngé zhingkham ngöngyur shok

Make manifest the blissful pureland of Abhirati!

dak gi go sum mi yo tingdzin gyi

Through the samādhi in which my three doors are unmoving,

dra tok zhal dang dorjé sum du dak

May sounds and concepts be purified as the faces and three vajras.

drubpa gyé dang rigdzin nampa zhi

May we realize the eight types of siddhi and four levels of a vidyādhara,

ngöngyur mi kyö dorjé ku min shok

And ripen as the kāya of Vajra Akṣobhya!

Thus, in response to a request from Tromtok Lama Dampa Chö, I, Ngedönpa, wrote this in a place that resembles blissful Abhirati. May virtue abound! Virtue!
