The Bestowal of Supreme Immortality

A Prayer to the Lineage of Mitrayogin’s White and Red Amitāyus

སྲིད་ཞི་ཀུན་ཁྱབ་འོད་མི་འགྱུར་བའི་སྐུ །

sizhi künkhyab ö migyurwé ku

Kāya of Changeless Light pervading all existence and peace,

ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྔ་ལྡན་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་རྫོགས་སྐུའི་བདག །

yeshe ngaden longchö dzok kü dak

Master of the sambhogakāya complete with fivefold wisdom,

ཐུགས་རྗེ་གང་འདུལ་སྤྲུལ་སྐུ་ཚེ་དཔག་མེད། །

tukjé gang dul tulku tsepakmé

Nirmāṇakāya Amitāyus, who tames compassionately as required—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་འཆི་མེད་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so chimé ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the attainment of immortality!

བདེ་བའི་བདག་ཉིད་སྣ་ཚོགས་སྒྱུ་མའི་སྐུ །

dewé daknyi natsok gyumé ku

The embodiment of bliss appearing in various illusory forms,

ཤེས་རབ་སྟོང་ཉིད་རྣམ་བཅས་ལྷ་མོར་བཞེངས། །

sherab tongnyi nam ché lhamor zheng

Arises as a goddess with the aspects of wisdom and emptiness,

འཕོ་མེད་ཚེ་ཡི་ཡུམ་མཆོག་ཙཎྜ་ལིར། །

pomé tsé yi yum chok tsenda lir

Supreme mother of non-transferring longevity, Caṇḍālī—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་འཆི་མེད་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so chimé ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the attainment of immortality!

འཆི་མེད་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐུ་བརྙེས་རིག་པ་འཛིན། །

chimé dorjé ku nyé rigpa dzin

Vidyādhara who attained a deathless vajra form,

ཟུང་འཇུག་ཡེ་ཤེས་དྭངས་མའི་འོད་སྐུར་བཞེངས། །

zungjuk yeshe dangmé ökur zheng

And adopted a pure light body of the wisdom of union,

གྲུབ་བརྒྱའི་གཙུག་རྒྱན་མི་ཏྲ་ཛྭ་ཀི་ལ། །

drub gyé tsukgyen mitra dzaki la

Mitrayogin, crowning ornament of a hundred adepts—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་འཆི་མེད་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so chimé ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the attainment of immortality!

འོད་གསལ་ཀློང་ནས་སྤྲུལ་པའི་རྡོ་རྗེར་ཤར། །

ösal long né trulpé dorjér shar

From the luminous expanse you arose as a vajra emanation,

དྲི་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་འོད་བརྒྱའི་གཟི་བརྗིད་འཕྲོ། །

drimé yeshe ö gyé ziji tro

Magnificently radiant as a hundred lights of stainless wisdom,

འགྲོ་བའི་མུན་སེལ་དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་ལ། །

drowé münsel palden lama la

Glorious guru, who dispels the darkness in beings’ minds—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་འཆི་མེད་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so chimé ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the attainment of immortality!

ཐུགས་ཏིག་བཀའ་བབས་གདམས་པའི་སྙན་བརྒྱུད་འཛིན། །

tuk tik kabab dampé nyengyü dzin

Holders of the aural lineage of instructions from authoritative Heart-Essence transmissions,

གནས་ལྔ་རིག་པའི་པཎ་ཆེན་ཆོས་རྒྱ་མཚོ། །

né nga rigpé penchen chö gyatso

Great paṇḍita of the five sciences, Chökyi Gyatso,¹

འཁོར་འདས་ཆོས་ཀུན་སྣ་ཚོགས་རང་གྲོལ་ལ། །

khordé chö kün natsok rangdrol la

Who self-liberated all the various dharmas of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་འཆི་མེད་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so chimé ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me the attainment of immortality!

གཞི་ཡི་རིགས་སད་རིམ་གཉིས་རྣལ་འབྱོར་གྱིས། །

zhi yi rik sé rim nyi naljor gyi

By awakening the ground potential and through the yoga of the two stages,

རྩ་རླུང་ཐིག་ལེའི་སྙིགས་མ་ཀུན་སེལ་ཞིང་། །

tsa lung tiklé nyikma kün sel zhing

May I dispel all impurities in the channels, wind-energies and essences,

འཕོ་མེད་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྲོག་གི་ཀ་བ་བརྟན། །

pomé dorjé sok gi kawa ten

Make firm the vital pillar of vajra-like non-transference,

ཚེ་དཔག་མེད་མགོན་གསང་གསུམ་མྱུར་འགྲུབ་ཤོག །

tsepakmé gön sang sum nyur drub shok

And swiftly attain the three secrets of the Lord of Boundless Life!
