Ngor Aspiration

༄༅། །ངོར་ལུགས་སྨོན་ལམ་རྒྱལ་བས་ལུང་གི་སོགས།

Aspiration Addressed to the Gurus of the Ngor Tradition¹

རྒྱལ་བས་ལུང་གི་རབ་བསྔགས་ཀུན་དགའ་བཟང་།  །

gyalwé lung gi rab ngak künga zang

Kunga Zangpo, lauded in the Victor’s prophecy,²

རྒྱལ་བའི་ཐུགས་སྲས་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་དང་།  །

gyalwé tuksé sempa chenpo dang

Sempa Chenpo,³ heart-son of the Victorious One,

རྒྱལ་བའི་རྒྱལ་ཚབ་ཀུན་དགའ་དབང་ཕྱུག་ཞབས།  །

gyalwé gyaltsab künga wangchuk zhab

Noble Kunga Wangchuk,⁴ the Conqueror’s regent,

མཁས་པའི་གཙུག་རྒྱན་བསོད་ནམས་སེངྒེ་དང་།  །

khepé tsukgyen sönam sengé dang

Sönam Sengé,⁵ crown adornment of all the learned,

མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་ཕྱུག་རྗེ་བཙུན་དཀོན་མཆོག་འཕེལ།  །

khyentsé wangchuk jetsün könchok pel

Reverend Könchok Pal,⁶ mighty lord of knowledge and love,

མུས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་སངས་རྒྱས་རིན་ཆེན་དང་།  །

müpa chenpo sangye rinchen dang

Great Müchen Sangye Rinchen,⁷

འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་དངོས་ངོར་ཆེན་ཐམས་ཅད་མཁྱེན།  །

jampé yang ngö ngorchen tamché khyen

Mañjughoṣa in person, all-knowing Ngorchen,

ནི་ར་བྷཱོ་གའི་ཞབས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།  །

nira bhogé zhab la solwa deb

Noble Nirābhoga,⁸ to you I pray!

མདོ་སྔགས་སྤྱི་དང་ཁྱད་པར་ས་སྐྱ་པའི།  །

do ngak chi dang khyepar sakyapé

May I master all the profound and vast instructions

ཚད་མ་བཞི་ལྡན་གསུང་ངག་གདམས་པའི་བཅུད།  །

tsema zhiden sung ngak dampé chü

Of the sūtra and mantra in general and especially the Sakya’s

རྒྱུད་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་བཤད་བཀའ་དང་བཅས་པའི།  །

gyü kyi gyalpö shé ka dang chepé

Essential instructions with their fourfold criteria of validity⁹

ཟབ་རྒྱས་གདམས་པ་ཀུན་ལ་དབང་འབྱོར་ཤོག  །

zabgyé dampa kün la wangjor shok

And the commentarial exposition of the king of tantras.

བསྟེན་བྱ་འཚོ་བ་བསྲུང་བྱའི་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དང་།  །

tenja tsowa sungjé tsultrim dang

Bless me, I pray, so that I may remain inseparable

ཉམས་ལེན་སྤྱོད་པ་སྟོང་པའི་ལྟ་བ་རྣམས།  །

nyamlen chöpa tongpé tawa nam

From you, reverend and noble gurus, immaculate in

དྲི་མེད་རྗེ་བཙུན་བླ་མ་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་དང་།  །

drimé jetsün lama khyé nam dang

Your lifestyle and maintenance of ethical discipline

དབྱེར་བ་མེད་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབས་ཏུ་གསོལ།།   །།

yerwa mepar jin gyi lab tu sol

And in your practice, conduct, and view of emptiness.
