Prayer for the Long Life of Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö and Khandro Tsering Chödrön

namo guru

Namo guru!

འཆི་མེད་གྲུབ་པའི་སློབ་དཔོན་བི་མ་ལ། །

chimé drubpé lobpön bimala

Supreme embodiment of the oceanic activity of the secret body, speech and mind

དངོས་སྣང་འོད་གསལ་སྤྲུལ་པའི་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཡི། །

ngö nangö sal trulpé dorjé yi

Of Ösal Trulpé Dorje,¹ who was the actual manifestation

གསང་གསུམ་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་རང་གཟུགས་མཆོག །

sang sum trinlé gyatsö rang zuk chok

Of Vimalamitra, the master who attained immortality—

འཇམ་དབྱངས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

jamyang chökyi lodrö zhabten sol

Jamyang Chökyi Lodrö, may your life remain secure!

ཚེ་ལམ་གསང་བའི་གྲོགས་མཆོག་རྡོ་རྗེ་མཚོའི། །

tsé lam sangwé drok chok dorjé tsö

Manifestation of Dorje Tso,² the supreme companion

རྣམ་རོལ་ཚེ་རིང་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྒྲོལ་མ་ཡི། །

namrol tsering chö kyi drolma yi

On the secret path of longevity, Tsering Chökyi Drönma,³

གསང་གསུམ་བྱད་ཕུར་མི་མཐུན་གཡུལ་ལས་རྒྱལ། །

sang sum jepur mitün yul lé gyal

May your three secrets reign victorious over danger, harm and adversity,

འཆི་མེད་གྲུབ་པའི་ལང་ཚོ་རྒྱས་གྱུར་ཅིག །

chimé drubpé langtso gyé gyur chik

And may the youthfulness of immortality blossom!

དེ་ལྟར་གསོལ་བཏབ་བདེན་པའི་ནུས་མཐུ་ཡིས། །

detar soltab denpé nütu yi

Through the power and strength of praying in this way,

རིག་འཛིན་བླ་མས་སྐྱེ་ཀུན་རྗེས་སུ་བཟུང་། །

rigdzin lamé kyé kün jesu zung

May I be accepted by the vidyādhara guru in all my lives to come,

སྟོན་འཁོར་ཚོམ་བུ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། །

tönkhor tsombu chik tu tsokpa dang

May teacher and students come together in a single gathering

བསྟན་འགྲོར་ཕན་བདེའི་དགེ་མཚན་རྒྱས་པར་ཤོག །

ten dror pendé getsen gyepar shok

And signs of benefit and vitality proliferate among the teachings and beings!

ཅེས་པའང་ལང་གྲོའི་སྐྱེ་མཐའ་རྨུགས་སངས་མཆོག་སྤྲུལ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཐུགས་བཞེད་བཞིན་གཡའ་མ་ལུང་དུ་རང་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པའོ།། །།

I spoke these words myself in Yamalung to fulfil the wishes of Muksang Choktrul Rinpoche, the latest rebirth of Langdro.⁴
