Prayer for the Long Life of the Glorious Sakyapa Jamyang Ngawang Tutob Wangchuk

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི་སིདྡྷཾ།

om swasti siddham

Oṃ svasti siddhaṃ

འཇམ་མགོན་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་ཉིན་བྱེད་ཀྱི།    །

jamgön lamé tukjé nyinjé kyi

Gentle lord and guru, whose sun-like compassion

མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་འོད་ཟེར་ཕུང་པོ་མཐའ་ཡས་པས།    །

khyentsé özer pungpo tayepé

Emits infinite light-rays of knowledge and love,

ཕྱོགས་དུས་ཞིང་ཀུན་དབང་བསྒྱུར་འཁོར་ལོའི་མགོན།    །

chok dü zhing kün wanggyur khorlö gön

Sovereign-protector of all the realms of time and space,

ཁྱབ་བདག་འཇམ་པའི་རྡོ་རྗེར་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ།    །

khyabdak jampé dorjér zhabten sol

Omnipresent Mañjuvajra, may your life remain secure.

ངག༵་ལ་དབ༵ང་འབྱོར་ཆོས་ཚུལ་རབ་འབྱམས་ཀུན།    །

ngak la wangjor chö tsul rabjam kün

With your command of speech and all the infinite ways of Dharma,

སྨྲ་བའི་དབང་པོ་ཚངས་སྲས་དགྱེས་པའི་ཞལ།    །

mawé wangpo tsang sé gyepé zhal

You are a master of oratory, delighting the daughter of Brahmā¹

ཐུབ་བསྟན་བཤད་དང་སྒྲུབ་པ་གསལ་མཛད་པ།    །

tubten shé dang drubpa sal dzepa

And illuminating the exposition and practice of the Sage’s teachings,

འཁོན་རིགས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ།    །

khön rik chö kyi gyalpo zhabten sol

Dharma king of the Khön family, may your life remain secure.

སྙིགས་དུས་བདུད་དང་དམ་སྲི་འདུལ་བ་ལ།    །

nyikdü dü dang damsi dulwa la

Through upholding the powerful activity of the Awesome One,

དཔལ་ཆེན་མཐུ༵་སྟོབ༵ས་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཤུགས་འཆང་བས།    །

palchen tutob trinlé shuk changwé

Who tames the māras and damsi spirits of this degenerate age,

བསྟན་འགྲོར་བདེ་སྐྱིད་དགེ་ལེགས་སྣང་སྟེར་བ།    །

ten dror dekyi gelek nang terwa

You grant the light of happiness and excellence to the teachings and beings—

རྡོ་རྗེ་གཞོན་ནུའི་ངོ་བོར་འཚོ་བཞེས་གསོལ།    །

dorjé zhönnü ngowor tso zhé sol

May you be sustained within the essence of Vajrakumāra himself.

བཀྲ་ཤིས་གྲགས་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་དབང༵་ཕྱུག༵་ཆེ།    །

tashi drakpa gyatsö wangchuk ché

Great, mighty lord of oceanic auspiciousness and fame,

ཁམས་གསུམ་ཆེ་རྒུའི་ཕྱག་གིས་བཏད་པའི་གནས།    །

kham sum chegü chak gi tepé né

Revered by the most eminent throughout the three worlds,

ཕྱོགས་ལས་རྣམ་རྒྱལ་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་མཆོག  །

chok lé namgyal tenpé gyaltsen chok

Supreme banner of the universal victory of the teachings,

ཞབས་པད་བསྐལ་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོར་བརྟན་གྱུར་ཅིག  །

zhabpé kalpa gyatsor ten gyur chik

May your life remain secure throughout an ocean of aeons.

དེ་ལྟར་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པའི་རེ་འབྲས་བཞིན།    །

detar solwa tabpé ré dré zhin

As the result of praying and aspiring in this way,

དོན་གཉིས་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པ་དང་།    །

dön nyi bemé lhün gyi drubpa dang

May the twofold aim be spontaneously and effortlessly fulfilled,

ཆོས་དང་སྲིད་ཀྱི་དཔལ་ཡོན་རྒྱས་གྱུར་ནས།    །

chö dang si kyi palyön gyé gyur né

May both spiritual and temporal magnificence be enhanced,

བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྣང་བས་ས་གསུམ་ཁྱབ་པར་ཤོག  །

tashi nangwé sa sum khyabpar shok

And may the light of auspiciousness flood the threefold world.

ཅེས་བའི་ཞབས་བརྟན་འདི་ཡང་འཇམ་མགོན་ས་སྐྱ་པའི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་གདུགས་དཀར་པོའི་གྲིབ་བསིལ་དུ་འཚོ་བ་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་མི་འཛད་པ་རྒྱན་གྱིས་འཁོར་ལོས་བྱེད་པོར་སྨོན་པ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་རིས་མེད་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་གྱིས་དད་གུས་ཀྱི་ཆུ་གཏེར་འཕེལ་བཞིན་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པ་སིདྡྷི་རསྟུ། མངྒ་ལཾ།།    །།

Thus, Jamyang Chökyi Lodrö Rimé Tenpai Gyaltsen, who remains within the cooling shade of the white parasol of the Jamgön Sakyapa’s compassion and who aspires to continue the inexhaustible, ornamental wheel-like activity of Khyentse Wangpo, offered this prayer according to the surging ocean of his faith and devotion. Siddhirastu. Maṅgalam.
