༄༅། །བྱམས་ཆེན་ཏཱའི་སི་ཏུ་པདྨའི་ལྗགས་ལྡན་སྐུ་ཕྲེང་བཞི་པའི་ཞབས་བརྟན་པདྨའི་དབྱངས་སྙན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།    །

A Prayer for the Long Life of the Fourth in the Succession of Lotus-Tongued Jamchen Tai Situ Incarnations

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།

om svasti

Oṃ svasti!

རབ་འབྱམས་ཕྱོགས་བཅུའི་ཞིང་ན་བཞུགས་པ་ཡི།    །

rabjam chok chü zhing na zhukpa yi

Through invoking the compassion, power and truth

བླ་མ་རྩ་གསུམ་རྒྱལ་བ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཡི།    །

lama tsa sum gyalwa gyatso yi

Of all the gurus and oceanic Three Roots

ཐུགས་རྗེ་མཐུ་སྟོབས་བདེན་པའི་རྩལ་ཕྱུངས་ཏེ།    །

tukjé tutob denpé tsal chung té

Throughout the infinite realms of the ten directions,

བཀྲ་ཤིས་ངོ་མཚར་མེ་ཏོག་ཆར་དུ་བསྙིལ།    །

tashi ngotsar metok char du nyil

May a flowery rain of wondrous auspiciousness descend!

ཀརྨ་པ་ཡི་བསྟན་འཛིན་ཁྱུ་མཆོག་ཆེ།    །

karma pa yi tendzin khyuchok ché

Great leader among those who uphold the Karmapas’ teachings,

བྱམས་ཆེན་དངོས་སྣང་པདྨ་དབང་ཆེན་གྱི།    །

jamchen ngö nang pema wangchen gyi

The great Maitreya in person, emanation of Pema Wangchen,

ཟློས་གར་མཐོང་བ་དོན་ཡོད་སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ།    །

dögar tongwa dön yö trulpé ku

Nirmāṇakāya who is meaningful to behold,

ཉིན་བྱེད་དབང་པོ་བཞིན་དུ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ།    །

nyinjé wangpo zhindu zhabten sol

May you live long like a mighty sun, I pray.

མཁས་བཙུན་བཟང་པོའི་རྣམ་ཐར་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ནས།    །

khé tsün zangpö namtar yongdzok né

May your liberating qualities of learning, ethics and kindness fully mature,

ངེས་དོན་གྲུབ་པ་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་རྗེ་བོར་གྱུར།    །

ngedön drubpa yong kyi jewor gyur

So that you become the foremost of all adepts of definitive meaning.

མདོ་སྔགས་ཟབ་དོན་སྨྲ་བའི་སེངྒེ་ཆེ།    །

do ngak zab dön mawé senggé ché

A great lion among those who explain the profound meaning of sūtra and mantra—

ཞབས་པད་བསྐལ་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོར་རྟག་བཞུགས་གསོལ།    །

zhabpé kalpa gyatsor tak zhuk sol

May your lotus feet remain steadfast for a hundred aeons, I pray.

ཕྱི་ནང་བར་ཆད་བདུད་སྡེའི་གཡུལ་ལས་རྒྱལ།    །

chi nang barché dü dé yul lé gyal

May you be victorious in the battle with demonic forces and obstacles, outer and inner,

འཆི་མེད་ཚེ་དང་མཁྱེན་སྟོབས་རབ་རྒྱས་ཤིང་།    །

chimé tsé dang khyen tob rabgyé shing

May your deathless longevity and strength of wisdom bloom,

སྲིད་ཞིའི་དགེ་མཚན་དབང་དུ་འདུ་བ་དང་།    །

sizhi getsen wang du duwa dang

May you gain control of the marks of virtue in existence and quiescence,

དོན་གཉིས་འབད་མེད་ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་ཤོག  །

dön nyi bemé lhün gyi drubpar shok

And may you effortlessly and spontaneously accomplish your own and others’ aims!

ཅེས་པའང་སངས་རྒྱས་མཉན་པ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་བཀའ་སྩལ་སྤྱི་བོར་མཆོད་དེ་དབོ་ཟླ་བའི་དམར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་གསུམ་པའི་ཚེས་༢༣ལ་བཀའ་འབང་གི་གྲལ་མཐར་འཁོད་པ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ་སྨོན་དུ་བྲིས་པ་དེ་བཞིན་འགྲུབ་པར་བླ་མ་རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་ཀྱིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་ཏུ་གསོལ།  སརྦ་མངྒ་ལཾ།།    །།

Bowing to the command of Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, I, Jamyang Chökyi Lodrö, the lowest-ranking disciple, wrote this prayer and aspiration for longevity on the twenty-third day, the third ‘victory’ of the waning phase of Phālguna. May the guru, victorious buddhas and their heirs grant their blessings so that it may be fulfilled! Sarva maṅgalam.
