Prayer to the Supreme Deities

ན་མོ་གུ་རུ།

namo guru

Homage to the guru!

རྩ་གསུམ་རབ་འབྱམས་འདུས་པའི་བདག་ཉིད་ཆེ། །

tsa sum rabjam düpé daknyi ché

Great being, perfect embodiment of the infinite Three Roots,

མ་ཧཱ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་ལ། །

maha guru pema jungné la

Mahāguru Padmasambhava,

བཟོད་མེད་གདུང་ཤུགས་དྲག་པོས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

zömé dungshuk drakpö solwa deb

With unbearably intense and fervent longing, I pray to you:

བར་ཆད་ཀུན་སེལ་མཆོག་ཐུན་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

barché kün sel choktün ngödrub tsol

Dispel all obstacles and grant me supreme and common siddhis!

རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་དང་བཅས་པའི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཀྱི། །

gyalwa sé dang chepé trinlé kyi

Natural expression of the enlightened activities of the buddhas and their heirs,

རང་གཟུགས་རྗེ་བཙུན་འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ། །

rang zuk jetsün pakma drolma la

Reverend lady Tārā,

ཡིད་ཆེས་གདུང་ཤུགས་དྲག་པོས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

yiché dungshuk drakpö solwa deb

To you I pray with confident and fervent longing:

རྟག་ཏུ་བདག་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་ཏུ་གསོལ། །

taktu dak la jingyi lab tu sol

May you always inspire me with your blessing!

འཆི་མེད་མཆོག་སྦྱིན་ཟླ་བའི་མདངས་ལྡན་མ། །

chimé chok jin dawé dangden ma

Bestower of supreme deathlessness glowing like the moon,

ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་བདུན་རྣམ་པར་བཀྲ་བ་ཡི། །

yeshe chen dün nampar trawa yi

Your seven eyes of wisdom bright and distinct.

འཆི་མེད་འཕགས་མ་ཡིད་བཞིན་འཁོར་ལོ་ལ། །

chimé pakma yizhin khorlo la

Noble lady of immortality, Wish-Fulfilling Wheel—

གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་ཚེ་ཡི་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ། །

solwa deb so tsé yi ngödrub tsol

To you I pray: grant me siddhi of longevity!

བདུད་དང་དམ་སྲི་ཐམས་ཅད་འདུལ་བའི་གཤེད། །

dü dang damsi tamché dulwé shé

Destroyer who subjugates all māras and samaya violators,

རྒྱལ་བ་ཀུན་གྱི་ཕྲིན་ལས་བྱེད་པོའི་གཟུགས། །

gyalwa kün gyi trinlé jepö zuk

In a form that carries out the enlightened activity of all the victorious ones,

དཔལ་ཆེན་རྡོ་རྗེ་གཞོན་ནུ་ཁྲོ་བོའི་རྒྱལ། །

palchen dorjé zhönnu trowö gyal

Great and glorious Vajrakumāra, king of the wrathful—

རྟག་ཏུ་ཁྱོད་སྒྲུབ་བདུད་ལས་རྒྱལ་བར་མཛོད། །

taktu khyö drub dü lé gyalwar dzö

As I constantly carry out your practice, grant me victory over the māras!

འཇིགས་རུང་སྐུ་ནི་གར་དགུའི་ཉམས་ལྡན་པས། །

jikrung ku ni gar gü nyam denpé

With a terrifying form possessing the nine wrathful expressions,

བདུད་བགེགས་ལོག་འདྲེན་ཐམས་ཅད་རྡུལ་དུ་བརླག །

dü gek lokdren tamché dul du lak

You annihilate all māras, obstructors and negative forces.

བསྟན་སྲུང་ཀུན་གྱི་སྡེ་དཔོན་རྡོ་རྗེ་གུར། །

tensung kün gyi depön dorjé gur

Pañjaranātha Mahākāla, chief of all Dharma guardians—

བདག་དང་མི་འབྲལ་བུ་བཞིན་སྐྱོང་བར་མཛོད། །

dak dang mindral bu zhin kyongwar dzö

Never be apart from me, but care for me as your own child!

ཅེས་ལྷག་པའི་ལྷ་རྣམས་ལ་གསོལ་འདེབས་འདི་ས་ཁྱི་ཟླ་བརྒྱད་ཚེས་བརྒྱད་ལ་རྡོ་རྗེ་གླིང་དུ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་བྲིས་པའོ།། །།

Chökyi Lodrö wrote this prayer to the supreme deities at Dorje Ling (Darjeeling) on the eighth day of the eighth month in the year of the Earth Dog (1958).
