༄༅། །བླ་མའི་རྣལ་འབྱོར་དང་འབྲེལ་བའི་གསོལ་འདེབས་དང་ལམ་རིམ་སྨོན་ལམ་བྱིན་རླབས་མྱུར་འཇུག་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།  །

The Swift Infusion of Blessings

Prayer and Aspiration for the Stages of the Path Combined with Guru Yoga

ན་མོ་གུ་རུ།

Namo guru!

རྒྱལ་ཀུན་ཡེ་ཤེས་གཅིག་བསྡུས་འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས།  །

gyal kün yeshe chikdü jampé yang

Mañjughoṣa, who alone embodies the wisdom of all the victorious ones,

སྙིགས་དུས་དགེ་བའི་བཤེས་ཀྱི་སྐུར་སྟོན་པ།  །

nyikdü geweshé kyi kur tönpa

Manifested in the form of a spiritual guide for this degenerate age—

འཇམ་དབྱངས་བླ་མ་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོ་དང་།  །

jamyang lama khyentsé wangpo dang

The guru Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo,

ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་རྣམ་དབྱེར་མེད་པའི་སྐུ།  །

chökyi lodrö namyer mepé ku

And Chökyi Lodrö, indivisible in their enlightened form.

སེང་ཁྲི་པད་དཀར་ཉི་ཟླའི་གདན་གྱི་སྟེང་།  །

sengtri pekar nyidé den gyi teng

Upon a lion throne and seats of white lotus, sun and moon,

རྩ་གསུམ་ཀུན་འདུས་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་།  །

tsa sum kündü orgyen dorjé chang

They appear as the Vajradhara of Oḍḍiyāna, embodiment of all the Three Roots.

མཐིང་གསལ་རྡོར་དྲིལ་འཛིན་ཅིང་ལྷ་ལྕམ་འཁྲིལ།  །

ting sal dordril dzin ching lhacham tril

He is bright blue, holds a vajra and bell and embraces the princess,

དར་དང་རུས་པ་རིན་ཆེན་རྒྱན་གྱིས་མཛེས།  །

dar dang rüpa rinchen gyen gyi dzé

He is adorned with silks and bone and jewel ornaments,

ཞབས་ཟུང་རྡོ་རྗེའི་སྐྱིལ་མོ་ཀྲུང་གིས་བཞུགས།  །

zhabzung dorjé kyilmo trung gi zhuk

And sits with his two legs crossed in the vajra posture.

གནས་གསུམ་ཡིག་འབྲུ་གསུམ་གྱིས་མཚན་པ་ལས།  །

né sum yikdru sum gyi tsenpa lé

From his three centres, which are marked by the three syllables,

འོད་འཕྲོས་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྤྱན་དྲངས་དབྱེར་མེད་ཐིམ།  །

ö trö yeshe chendrang yermé tim

Light radiates out to invite the wisdom deities, who dissolve inseparably.

སྐྱབས་ཀུན་འདུས་པའི་ངོ་བོར་ལྷམ་མེར་གསལ།  །

kyab kün düpé ngowor lham mér sal

Vividly and brightly, he appears as the essence of all sources of refuge,

ཕྱག་འཚལ་མཆོད་འབུལ་སྡིག་བཤགས་ཡི་རངས་དང་།  །

chaktsal chö bul dikshak yirang dang

Before whom I prostrate, present offerings, confess misdeeds, rejoice,

ཆོས་བསྐུལ་བཞུགས་གསོལ་དགེ་རྩ་རྫོགས་བྱང་བསྔོ།  །

chö kul zhuk sol getsa dzok jang ngo

Request the Dharma, plead for continued presence and dedicate sources of virtue towards perfect awakening.

 

རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རིན་པོ་ཆེར།  །

tsawé lama orgyen rinpocher

Root guru, precious one of Oḍḍiyāna,

མི་ཕྱེད་སྙིང་ནས་གུས་པས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས།  །

miché nying né güpé solwa deb

With unshakeable, heartfelt devotion, I pray to you:

འདི་ཕྱི་བར་དོ་ཀུན་ཏུ་ཐུགས་རྗེས་ཟུངས།  །

di chi bardo küntu tukjé zung

Hold me with your compassion in this life, the next and the bardo state,

བསམ་དོན་ཡིད་བཞིན་འགྲུབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།  །

samdön yizhin drubpar jingyi lob

And inspire me with your blessings, so that all my wishes may be fulfilled!

 

བླ་མའི་གནས་གསུམ་རྡོ་རྗེའི་འབྲུ་གསུམ་ལས།  །

lamé né sum dorjé dru sum lé

From the three vajra seed-syllables at the guru’s three centres,

འོད་འཕྲོས་དབང་དང་བྱིན་བརླབས་དངོས་གྲུབ་ཐོབ།  །

ö trö wang dang jinlab ngödrub tob

Light shines out to confer empowerment, blessings and attainments.

བླ་མ་དགྱེས་པས་འོད་ཞུ་རང་ལ་ཐིམ།  །

lama gyepé ö zhu rang la tim

The guru is pleased, melts into light, and dissolves into me.

ཐུགས་ཡིད་གཅིག་འདྲེས་དགོངས་པའི་རྩལ་ཆེན་རྫོགས།  །

tuk yi chik dré gongpé tsal chen dzok

Wisdom and mind fuse as one, perfecting the great power of realization.

གཟུང་འཛིན་རྟོག་པས་མ་བསླད་གཉུག་མའི་ངང་།  །

zungdzin tokpé ma lé nyukmé ngang

And, in the genuine state, unspoilt by thoughts involving perceiver or perceived,

མ་ཡེངས་སྒོམ་མེད་བློ་འདས་ཆེན་པོར་བཞག  །

ma yeng gommé lodé chenpor zhak

I settle, undistracted yet not meditating, in the great transcendence of conceptual mind.

 

སྐྱེ་བ་ཀུན་ཏུ་རྗེ་བཙུན་བླ་མ་ཡིས།  །

kyewa küntu jetsün lama yi

Throughout all my lives, may I be cared for inseparably

འབྲལ་མེད་རྗེས་བཟུང་སྨིན་གྲོལ་གདམས་པ་ནོས།  །

dralmé jezung mindrol dampa nö

By the noble guru and receive instructions that mature and liberate.

དད་དང་དམ་ཚིག་རྣམ་པར་དག་པ་ཡིས།  །

dé dang damtsik nampar dakpa yi

With utterly pure faith and samaya commitment,

བླ་མའི་ལམ་མཆོག་མཐའ་རུ་ཕྱིན་པར་ཤོག  །

lamé lam chok ta ru chinpar shok

May I follow the guru’s supreme path to the very end.

 

དད་དང་མོས་གུས་སྐྱོ་ཤས་ངེས་འབྱུང་དང་།  །

dé dang mögü kyoshé ngejung dang

May I fully develop faith, devotion, disenchantment and renunciation,

བྱམས་དང་སྙིང་རྗེ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་མཆོག་འབྱོངས།  །

jam dang nyingjé changchub sem chok jong

As well as loving kindness, compassion and the supreme mind of awakening.

སྒྲིབ་དག་ཚོགས་རྫོགས་བྱིན་རླབས་སྙིང་ལ་འཇུག  །

drib dak tsok dzok jinlab nying la juk

May I purify obscurations, gather the accumulations, draw blessings into my heart,

ཟབ་མོའི་ལྟ་བར་སྒྲོ་འདོག་ཆོད་པར་ཤོག  །

zabmö tawar dro dok chöpar shok

And eliminate any misconceptions concerning the profound view.

 

བསྐྱེད་པའི་རིམ་པས་སྣང་ཞེན་ལྷ་སྐུར་དག  །

kyepé rimpé nang zhen lha kur dak

May I purify attachment to appearances as the deity’s form through the generation phase,

རྫོགས་རིམ་ཟབ་མོས་རླུང་སེམས་དབུ་མར་སྡུད།  །

dzokrim zab mö lungsem umar dü

Bring wind-energy and mind into the central channel through the profound completion phase,

ཉེ་རྒྱུའི་སྤྱོད་པས་བོགས་དབྱུང་ལྷན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི།  །

nyé gyü chöpé bokyung lhenkyé kyi

And bring about enhancement through the activity that inspires realization,

ཡེ་ཤེས་ཉི་མ་སྙིང་ལ་འཆར་བར་ཤོག  །

yeshe nyima nying la charwar shok

So that the sun of co-emergent wisdom dawns within my heart.

 

དེར་ཡང་བླ་མའི་མན་ངག་ཟབ་མོ་ཡི།  །

der yang lamé mengak zabmo yi

Moreover, through the guru’s profound pith instructions,

རིག་པ་རང་ཐོག་མ་ནོར་ངོ་འཕྲོད་དེ།  །

rigpa rang tok manor ngotrö dé

May I recognise pure awareness directly and without error,

ཐེ་ཚོམ་སྒྲོགས་གིས་མ་འཆིང་ཐག་ཆོད་ཅིང་།  །

tetsom drok gi ma ching takchö ching

Decide upon it without becoming entangled in doubt,

རང་གྲོལ་ཆེན་པོའི་གདིང་དང་ལྡན་པར་ཤོག  །

rangdrol chenpö ding dang denpar shok

And gain the assurance of great natural freedom!

 

ཅོག་བཞག་གསུམ་གྱིས་ཁྲེགས་ཆོད་ལྟ་བ་འབྱོང་།  །

chok zhak sum gyi trekchö tawa jong

May I master the view of Trekchö through the three ways of leaving things as they are,

བཞུགས་སྟང་གཟིགས་སྟང་གནད་ཀྱིས་གཟིར་བ་ཡི།  །

zhuk tang zik tang né kyi zirwa yi

And through applying the crucial points of the postures and gazes,

སྒྲོན་མ་རྣམ་བཞིའི་གསེང་ལམ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་ཏེ།  །

drönma nam zhi seng lam tarchin té

May I fully accomplish the secret path of the four types of lamp,

འོད་གསལ་སྣང་བཞིའི་ཕ་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པར་ཤོག  །

ösal nang zhi patar chinpar shok

Arriving at the culmination of the four visions of luminosity.

 

གལ་ཏེ་ཚེ་འདིར་གྲོལ་བ་མ་ཐོབ་ན།  །

galté tsé dir drolwa ma tob na

Yet if I do not attain liberation in this very lifetime,

འཆི་བ་འོད་གསལ་ཆོས་སྐུ་ངོ་འཕྲོད་དེ།  །

chiwa ösal chöku ngotrö dé

May I recognise the dharmakāya luminosity at death,

ཀ་དག་ནང་གསལ་གཞོན་ནུ་བུམ་སྐུའི་སྦུབས།  །

kadak nangsal zhönnu bumkü bub

And within the youthful vase body, primordially pure inner luminosity,

འབྲས་བུའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་བཙན་ས་ཟིན་པར་ཤོག  །

drebü gyalpo tsensa zinpar shok

May I capture the sovereign stronghold of the fruition.

 

དེར་ཡང་གནས་བརྟན་གྲོལ་སར་མ་ཕྱིན་ན།  །

der yang neten drol sar ma chin na

Should I fail to reach such a state of stable and enduring freedom,

ཆོས་ཉིད་བར་དོའི་ལམ་སྣང་རང་ངོ་ཤེས།  །

chönyi bardö lam nang rang ngoshé

May I recognise the visionary experiences of the bardo of dharmatā.

དེར་ཡང་འཁྲུལ་ནས་སྲིད་པར་འཁྱམས་གྱུར་ཚེ།  །

der yang trul né sipar khyam gyur tsé

And if, in my confusion, I wander further into the state of becoming,

རང་བཞིན་སྤྲུལ་པའི་ཞིང་དེར་སྐྱེ་བར་ཤོག  །

rangzhin trulpé zhing der kyewar shok

May I go on to take rebirth in a natural nirmāṇakāya realm.

 

གལ་ཏེ་ལས་འཕྲོ་བག་ཆགས་ཞན་པ་ཡིས།  །

galté letro bakchak zhenpa yi

If my karmic fortune and habitual propensities are weak,

དེ་རུ་མ་གྲོལ་སྐྱེ་བ་བརྒྱུད་གྱུར་ན།  །

dé ru ma drol kyewa gyü gyur na

And I’m not liberated then but move on to another birth,

མངལ་སྒོ་འདམ་སྟེ་ཆོས་ལྡན་རྟེན་བཟང་རྙེད།  །

ngal go dam té chöden ten zang nyé

May I seal the womb door, gain a practitioner’s splendid support,

ཆོས་དང་བླ་མ་བཟང་པོ་མཇལ་བར་ཤོག  །

chö dang lama zangpo jalwar shok

And go on to encounter the Dharma and meet an excellent guru.

 

དེར་ཡང་རང་བཞིན་རྫོགས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡི།  །

der yang rangzhin dzogpachenpo yi

Thereafter, may I directly realize the profound meaning

ཟབ་དོན་དགོངས་པ་མངོན་སུམ་རྟོགས་གྱུར་ཏེ།  །

zab dön gongpa ngönsum tok gyur té

Of the Natural Great Perfection,

ཁམས་གསུམ་འཁོར་བ་དོང་ནས་སྤྲུགས་ནུས་པའི།  །

kham sum khorwa dong né truk nüpé

Become inseparable from the primordial protector Samantabhadra

ཀུན་བཟང་གདོད་མའི་མགོན་དང་དབྱེར་མེད་ཤོག  །

kunzang dömé gön dang yermé shok

And capable of emptying the three realms of saṃsāra from their very depths.

 

ཅེས་པའང་ཤར་ཨ་མདོའི་ཡུལ་གྱི་རེབ་ཀོང་སྔགས་ཆེན་བླ་མ་བཀྲ་ཤིས་དཔལ་ལྡན་ནས་གསུང་བསྐུལ་ངོར་༧འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོའི་སྤྲུལ་མིང་འཛིན་པ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་བློ་གྲོས་པས་རྫོང་སར་བཀྲ་ཤིས་ལྷ་རྩེའི་ཉེ་འདབས་བཀྲ་ཤིས་དར་ཐང་དུ་ལྗོང་རྒྱུ་བའི་སྐབས་སྨྲས་རིམ་བཞིན་ཡི་གེའི་བྱེད་པོ་རང་སློབ་མཁས་མཆོག་གིས་བགྱིས་པ་དོན་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག  །།།

In response to a request from Lama Tashi Palden, a great mantra adept from Rebkong in the eastern region of Amdo, Chökyi Lodrö, who holds the name of an emanation of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, spoke these words while wandering through Tashi Darthang in the vicinity of Dzongsar Tashi Lhatsé, and his own student Khechok wrote them down. May they prove significant!
