༄༅། །བླ་མ་འཇིགས་མེད་རྣམ་རྒྱལ་གྱི་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ་འདེབས།

Prayer for the Long Life of Lama Jigme Namgyal¹

ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།

om svasti

Oṃ svasti.

ཚེ་དང་ཡེ་ཤེས་དཔག་མེད་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས། །

tsé dang yeshe pakmé chomdendé

Blessed Amitāyus, Buddha of Boundless Life and Wisdom,

སྐྱབས་གནས་ཀུན་བསྡུས་ཨོ་རྒྱན་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་། །

kyabné kün dü orgyen dorjé chang

And victorious Vajradhara of Oḍḍiyāna, embodiment of all sources of refuge,

རྒྱལ་བ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་ལྷ་ལྕམ་མནྡ་རས། །

gyalwa yabyum lhacham mendaré

With your consort, the princess Mandāravā—

ཡེ་ཤེས་དགོངས་པའི་བྱིན་ཆར་རྟག་ཏུ་ཕོབས། །

yeshe gongpé jin char taktu pob

Bring down a continuous rain of wisdom and blessings!

འཇིགས་མེད་རྟུལ་ཞུགས་གྲུབ་པའི་དཔའ་བོ་ཆེ། །

jikme tul zhuk drubpé pawo ché

Having fearlessly and with great courage accomplished yogic conduct,

རྒྱུད་ལུང་མན་ངག་གསུམ་གྱིས་སྐལ་ལྡན་ཀུན།

gyülung mengak sum gyi kalden kün

You expound the tantras and grant the scriptural transmissions and pith instructions,

སྲིད་ལས་རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཀུན་བཟང་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ལ། །

si lé namdrol kunzang gyalsi la

Liberating fortunate disciples from existence and leading them to the Ever-Excellent Kingdom—

འདྲེན་མཛད་བཤེས་གཉེན་དབང་པོ་ཞབས་བརྟན་གསོལ། །

dren dzé shenyen wangpo zhab ten sol

Most sublime spiritual friend, may your life remain forever secure!

རྩ་གསུམ་དམ་ཅན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་མཐུ་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས། །

tsa sum damchen gyatsö tutob kyi

By the power of the infinite deities of the Three Roots and the oath-bound ones,

མི་མཐུན་བར་ཆད་ཚོགས་ཀུན་དབྱིངས་སུ་ཞི། །

mitün barché tsok kün ying su zhi

May all unfavourable circumstances and obstacles be pacified in basic space,

དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ་བསྐལ་བརྒྱར་ཞབས་བརྟན་ཅིང་། །

palden lama kal gyar zhab ten ching

May the life of our glorious guru remain secure for a hundred aeons

ཐུབ་བསྟན་སྣང་བས་འཇིག་རྟེན་མཛེས་གྱུར་ཅིག །

tubten nangwé jikten dzé gyur chik

And may the light of Buddha’s teachings beautify this world of ours!

ཅེས་པའང་མཁན་པོ་བསྟན་འཛིན་ཆོས་གྲགས་ཀྱིས་བསྐུལ་མ་མཛད་པ་བཞིན་ནམ་སྙིང་བདུན་པ་བསྟན་པའི་རྒྱལ་མཚན་གྱིས་ཆུ་ཡོས་ཟླ་བ་༡༡ཚེས་༡༠ཉིན་གནས་མཆོག་མ་རཱ་ཏི་ཀར་བྲིས་ཞིང་སྨོན་པའོ།།

At the request of Khenpo Tendzin Chödrak, I, Tenpe Gyaltsen, the Seventh Namkhai Nyingpo, composed this prayer on the tenth day of the eleventh month of the Water Rabbit year,² at the sacred site of Maratika.
