༁ྃ༔ རྗེ་བཙུན་འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ་དོན་བསྟོད་བྱིན་རླབས་ཆར་རྒྱུན་བཞུགས༔

A Continuous Rain of Blessings

The Ultimate Praise of Venerable Ārya Tārā

ཨོཾ་སྐྱེ་བ་མེད་པའི་མཁའ་དབྱིངས་སུ༔

om, kyewa mepé khaying su

Oṃ. In the unborn space of ultimate reality,

ཡུམ་རྗེ་བཙུན་འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་བཞུགས༔

yum jetsün pakma drolma zhuk

The mother, venerable Ārya Tārā, resides—

མ་སེམས་ཅན་ཀུན་ལ་བདེ་སྟེར་མ༔

ma semchen kün la dé ter ma

She who bestows happiness upon all mother sentient beings.

བུ་བདག་ལ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྤྱན་གྱིས་གཟིགས༔

bu dak la tukjé chen gyi zik

Look upon us, your children, with eyes of compassion!

ཏཱ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྒྲོལ་མ་ཡིས༔

ta, tukjé yeshe drolma yi

Tā. To Tārā, who possesses the wisdom of compassion,

ལས་ཉོན་མོངས་མ་རིག་མུན་འཐིབས་པའི༔

lé nyönmong marik mün tibpé

And who dispels the dense gloom of ignorance for all beings

ཡོངས་འགྲོ་བ་མ་རིག་མུན་པའི་སྨག༔

yong drowa marik münpé mak

Who are obscured by the darkness of karma, afflictions, and confusion,

ཀུན་སེལ་མཛད་མ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

kün sel dzé ma la chaktsal tö

I offer homage and praise.

རེ་ཚད་མེད་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་གདུང་ཤུགས་ཀྱིས༔

ré, tsemé tukjé dungshuk kyi

Re. Through the immense power of your boundless compassion,

ཁོང་རིག་དྲུག་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་༔

khong rik druk semchen tamché dang

Please consider all beings of the six realms,

བདག་མོས་པའི་བུ་ཡི་དོན་ལ་དགོངས༔

dak möpé bu yi dön la gong

Including me, your devoted child.

མ་གློག་ལྟར་མྱུར་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

ma lok tar nyur la chaktsal tö

I offer homage to the mother, swift as lightning.

ཏཱཾ་རང་ལས་སྤྲུལ་པའི་ཉི་ཤུའི་འཁོར༔

tam, rang lé trulpé nyishü khor

Taṃ. Surrounded by your twenty emanations

ཚུལ་ཞི་རྒྱས་དབང་དང་དྲག་པོ་ཡིས༔

tsul zhi gyé wang dang drakpo yi

You pacify, enrich, magnetize, and wrathfully subjugate,

བདག་འཇིགས་པ་བརྒྱད་དང་བཅུ་དྲུག་སོགས༔

dak jikpa gyé dang chudruk sok

Protecting me from the eight great and sixteen lesser fears.

མ་རྟག་ཏུ་སྐྱོབ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

ma taktu kyob la chaktsal tö

I offer homage and praise to the mother who always grants protection.

སྭ་མི་འགྱུར་ཚེ་བསོད་ནམས་སྟོབས༔

sa, mingyur tsesö nam tob

Svā. I offer homage and praise to the mother who bestows

རིགས་དབང་ཐང་བུ་དང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་ནོར༔

rik wangtang bu dang longchö nor

The accomplishments of unchanging life, strong merit,

མི་བདག་དང་བསྲུང་བྱར་གྱུར་ཀུན་ལ༔

mi dak dang sung jar gyur kün la

Noble lineage, influence, progeny, abundance, and wealth

མ་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩོལ་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

ma ngödrub tsol la chaktsal tö

Upon all rulers and those who live under their protection.

ཧཱ་རྟོགས་པར་དཀའ་བ་རིག་པའི་གཤིས༔

ha, tokpar kawa rigpé shi

Hā. The nature of awareness is difficult to realize,

ཡུལ་འཁྲུལ་སྣང་དྲག་པོས་མ་བསླུས་ཤིང་༔

yul trulnang drakpö ma lü shing

Unswayed by the intense illusions of external appearances

དོན་ལྟ་སྒོམ་སྤྱོད་པའི་སྒྲོག་ལས་གྲོལ༔

dön ta gom chöpé drok lé drol

And free from the strictures of view, meditation, and conduct,

མ་རང་ངོ་འཕྲོད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

ma rang ngotrö la chaktsal tö

I offer homage and praise to the mother—recognition of my own true nature.

ཡུམ་རྗེ་བཙུན་ཨཱ་རྱ་ཏཱ་རེ་མ༔

yum jetsün arya taré ma

O mother, venerable Ārya Tārā,

རྩལ་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྤྲུལ་སྒྱུར་ཉི་ཤུའི་འཁོར༔

tsal tukjé trul gyur nyishü khor

With your retinue of twenty emanations, generated by the power of your compassion,

དུས་རྟག་ཏུ་ཐུགས་རྗེས་གཡེལ་མེད་སྐྱོངས༔

dü taktu tukjé yelmé kyong

And with your infallible kindness, pray watch over us at all times.

མ་ནམ་ཞིག་འདྲེན་པ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བསྟོད༔

ma namzhik drenpa chaktsal tö

I offer homage and praise to the mother who guides all beings.

དཔལ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐམས་ཅད་བསྐྱེད་མཛད་ཡུམ༔

pal sangye tamché kyé dzé yum

O glorious mother, who gives birth to all the buddhas,

མ་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཆ་ཙམ་བསྟོད་པ་ཡིས༔

ma khyö la cha tsam töpa yi

By offering even a small measure of praise to you, O mother,

བུ་བདག་དང་འབྲེལ་བས་བསྡུས་པ་ཀུན༔

bu dak dang drelwé düpa kün

May I and those connected to me, your children,

ཞིང་བདེ་བ་ཅན་དང་པོ་ཊ་ལ༔

zhing dewachen dangpo ta la

Be miraculously born within the pure realm of Sukhāvatī,

གནས་གཡུལ་ལ་བཀོད་པར་བརྫུས་ཏེ་སྐྱེས༔

né yul la köpar dzü té kyé

Or in Potala, or in Array of Turquoise Leaves.

མཆོག་མངོན་པར་རྫོགས་པར་སངས་རྒྱས་ནས༔

chok ngönpar dzokpar sangye né

There, may we attain the supreme accomplishment of perfect awakening

མ་ཁྱོད་དང་འགྲོ་དོན་མཉམ་པར་ཤོག༔

ma khyö dang dro dön nyampar shok

And become your equal in benefiting beings.

ཨོཾ་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏཱཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔

om taré tam soha

oṃ tāre tāṃ svāhā

རྗེ་བཙུན་འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ༔
དོན་བསྟོད་བྱིན་རླབས་མྱུར་འགྲུབ་འདི༔
ཌཱ་ཀི་མ་ཡིས་ཡང་ཡང་བསྐུལ༔
རྟ་ལོ་རྟ་ཟླའི་ཡར་ཚེས་ལ༔
འོད་གསལ་ཉམས་ཀྱི་སྣང་བའི་ངོར༔
ཏཱ་རེ་ལྷ་མོའི་ཞལ་གཟིགས་ཚེ༔
ཁྲག་འཐུང་བདེ་བའི་རྡོ་རྗེས་བཀོད༔
ཡི་གེ་རིག་པའི་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱིས༔
བཀོད་པས་བྱིན་རླབས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཆེ༔

This ultimate praise to venerable Ārya Tārā,
Which brings blessings ever so swiftly,
Was repeatedly requested by Ḍākima¹
It was composed by Traktung Dewé Dorje
After he beheld the goddess Tārā’s face
In a vision of natural luminosity
During the waxing phase of the Horse month in the Horse year.
These words are awareness wisdom in the form of letters,
And thus carry immense blessings.

དགོངས་གཏེར་ཐུགས་ཐིག་ཆ་ལག་གོ༔
དགེའོ༔
