Supplement to the Longchen Nyingtik Lineage Prayer

གྲུབ་བརྙེས་འཇིགས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུའི་ཞབས། །
drub nyé jikme gyalwé nyugü zhab
The accomplished Jigme Gyalwe Nyugu;
སྤྲུལ་པའི་སྐུ་མཆོག་མི་འགྱུར་ནམ་མཁའི་མཚན། །
trulpé ku chok mingyur namkhé tsen
Supreme nirmāṇakāya named Mingyur Namkha;
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་གནས་ལུགས་རང་ཞལ་སྟོན། །
solwa deb so neluk rang zhal tön
To you I pray: Show me my true nature, my original face!
ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་དཔལ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེ་དང་། །
heruka pal yeshe dorjé dang
Glorious heruka, Yeshe Dorje;
རྒྱལ་བའི་སྲས་པོ་གཞན་ཕན་ཕ་མཐའ་ཡས། །
gyalwé sepo zhenpen pa tayé
Son of the buddhas, Shenpen Thaye, whose benefit to others is unlimited;
མཁན་ཆེན་བླ་མ་པདྨ་བཛྲ་ལ། །
khenchen lama pema benza la
And the great khenpo, Lama Pema Vajra:
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་མཁྱེན་གཉིས་རྒྱས་པར་མཛོད། །
solwa deb so khyen nyi gyepar dzö
To you I pray: Cause my twofold knowledge to expand!
མཚོ་སྐྱེས་བླ་མ་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོའི་ཞབས། །
tsokyé lama khyentsé wangpö zhab
Lake-born guru, noble Khyentse Wangpo;
ཀུན་མཁྱེན་འཇིགས་མེད་བསྟན་པའི་ཉི་མ་རྗེ། །
künkhyen jikme tenpé nyima jé
All-knowing lord Jigme Tenpé Nyima;
རིག་འཛིན་ཆེན་པོ་སྣ་ཚོགས་རང་གྲོལ་ལ། །
rigdzin chenpo natsok rangdrol la
And great vidyādhara Natsok Rangdrol:
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་བདག་རྒྱུད་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས། །
solwa deb so dak gyü jingyi lob
To you I pray: Inspire me with your blessings!
སྲིད་ལས་སོགས།
Continue with "Through true renunciation and disgust for saṃsāra... etc."1
བརྒྱུད་པ་འདི་ནི་འཇིགས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུ། རྫོགས་ཆེན་བཞི་པ། མཁྱེན་བརྩེ་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེ། རྒྱལ་སྲས་གཞན་ཕན་མཐའ་ཡས་བཞི་ཀ་ལས་མཁན་ཆེན་པད་རྡོར་གྱིས་གསན། པད་རྡོར་ལས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེ་རིན་པོ་ཆེས་ཀློང་སྙིང་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་གསན།
This is the lineage that Khenpo Pema Dorje received from Jigme Gyalwe Nyugu, the Fourth Dzogchen, Khyentse Yeshe Dorje and Gyalse Shenpen Thaye. It was from Khenpo Pema Dorje that Khyentse Rinpoche then received the entire Longchen Nyingtik.
རྟོགས་པ་དོན་བརྒྱུད་ནི། ཁྲ་མ་འཇིགས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུ། མཁྱེན་བརྩེ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཞེས་འདྲེན་དགོས། དེ་ལྟན་ན།
The lineage of ultimate realization needs to go from Trama Jigme Gyalwe Nyugu to Khyentse Rinpoche. Thus:
གྲུབ་བརྙེས་འཇིགས་མེད་རྒྱལ་བའི་མྱུ་གུའི་ཞབས། །
drub nyé jikme gyalwé nyugü zhab
The accomplished Jigme Gyalwe Nyugu;
རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་ཆེན་འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན་རྩེ་ལ། །
dorjé chang chen jamyang khyentsé la
Great Vajradhara Jamyang Khyentse:
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་དགོངས་བརྒྱུད་བྱིན་རླབས་རྩོལ། །
solwa deb so gonggyü jinlab tsol
To you I pray: Bestow the blessings of the lineage of realization!
ཀུན་མཁྱེན་འཇིགས་མེད་བསྟན་པའི་ཉི་མ་དང་། །
künkhyen jikme tenpé nyima dang
All-knowing Jigme Tenpé Nyima;
རིག་འཛིན་ཆེན་པོ་སྣ་ཚོགས་རང་གྲོལ་ཞབས། །
rigdzin chenpo natsok rangdrol zhab
Great vidyādhara Natsok Rangdrol:
གདོད་མའི་མགོན་པོ་རྩ་བའི་བླ་མ་ལ། །
dömé gönpo tsawé lama la
And the primordial protector, my own root guru,
གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ་གནས་ལུགས་རང་ཞལ་སྟོན། །
solwa deb so neluk rang zhal tön
To you I pray: Show me my true nature, my original face!
ཞེས་འདོན་ན་ལེགས། སྐྱབས་ཡུལ་སོགས་ཐོ་བརྩེགས་སྐབས་ཀྱང་འདི་བཞིན་བསྒོམ་ན་འཇུག་པ་བདེའོ། །
It is good to recite this version. It is also convenient to visualize the tiered arrangement of the sources of refuge in this way.
