༄༅། །འཕགས་མ་སྒྲོལ་མ་ལ་རྩ་སྔགས་དང་སྦྱར་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་པ་དོན་ཀུན་གྲུབ་པའི་དབྱངས་སྙན་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་སོ།།

The Sweet-Sounding Song that Fulfils All Aims

A Prayer to Noble Tārā Combined with Her Root Mantra

ཨོཾ་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུཏྟཱ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།

om taré tuttaré turé soha

oṃ tāre tuttāre ture svāhā

ཨོཾ་གྱིས་ཐར་དང་འདོད་རྒུའི་ནོར་སྟེར། །

om gyi tar dang dögü nor ter

With Oṃ the jewel of liberation and all that could be wished for is bestowed.

དཔལ་དང་གཡང་སོགས་སྐལ་པ་བཟང་པོས། །

pal dang yang sok kalpa zangpö

With the excellence of splendour, prosperity and the like,

སྲིད་ཞིར་སྨན་མཛད་གསང་བ་གསུམ་བདག །

sizhir men dzé sangwa sum dak

You bring healing to existence and peace, mistress of the three secrets,

མཆོ༵ག་སྦྱིན༵་འཕགས་མ་ཡུམ་ལ་འདུད་དོ། །

chok jin pakma yum la dü do

Noble Mother of perfect generosity, to you I pay homage!

ཏཱ་རེ་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་རིན་ཆེན་གྲུ་བོས། །

taré tukkyé rinchen druwö

With Tāre, the precious vessel of bodhicitta,

འཁོར་བ་ངན་སོང་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མཚོ་ལས། །

khorwa ngensong dukngal tso lé

You constantly liberate living beings, who are in number as extensive as space,

མཁའ་མཉམ་ཡིད་ཅན་རྟག་ཏུ་སྒྲོལ་བའི། །

khanyam yichen taktu drolwé

From the ocean of suffering in cyclic existence and the lower realms.

རྗེ་བཙུན་སྒྲོལ༵་མ༵་ཡུམ་ལ་འདུད་དོ། །

jetsün drolma yum la dü do

Noble Mother Tārā, to you I pay homage!

ཏུཏྟཱ་རེ་ཞེས་བྱིན་རླབས་བདུད་རྩིས། །

tuttaré zhé jinlab dütsi

With Tuttāre, the ambrosia of blessings

འཇིགས་བཅས་རྒུད་པའི་ཚ་གདུང་བསལ་ནས། །

jik ché güpé tsadung sal né

Banishes the tormenting heat of fear and misery,

ཕན་བདེའི་པདྨོ་རྒྱས་པར་མཛད་པའི། །

pendé pemo gyepar dzepé

And causes the lotus of benefit and well-being to bloom.

གདུང༵་བ་སྐྱོབ་མ༵་ཡུམ་ལ་འདུད་དོ། །

dungwa kyob ma yum la dü do

To you, Mother, who protects from distress, I pay homage!

ཏུ་རེ་ཁྱོད་ཞབས་དྲན་པའི་མོད་ནས། །

turé khyö zhab drenpé mö né

Turé—the instant I remember you, Venerable One,

གང་འདུལ་མཚན་དང་སྐུ་ཡི་བཀོད་པས། །

gang dul tsen dang ku yi köpé

With your display of attributes and forms to tame beings as appropriate,

བདག་ལྟའི་ཕོངས་པ་ཀུན་ལས་སྲུང་བའི། །

dak té pongpa kün lé sungwé

You protect against all the misfortunes of belief in a self.

ཐུགས་རྗེས་མྱུར༵་མ༵་ཡུམ་ལ་འདུད་དོ། །

tukjé nyurma yum la dü do

I pay homage to you, compassionate and swift Mother.

སྭཱ་ཧཱ་ཕྲིན་ལས་རྫོགས་ལྡན་སྤྲིན་གྱིས། །

soha trinlé dzokden trin gyi

Svāhā—bountiful clouds of enlightened activity

དགེ༵་ལེག༵ས་ནོར་བུའི་གྲུ་ཆར་འབེབས་པས། །

gelek norbü druchar bebpé

Rain down jewels of virtue and goodness

ཁམས་གསུམ་འགྲོ་ཀུན་དབུགས་འབྱིན་སྩོལ་བའི། །

kham sum dro kün ukjin tsolwé

That bring relief to all beings of the three realms.

ཡིད་བཞིན་འཁོར་ལོ་ཡུམ་ལ་འདུད་དོ། །

yizhin khorlo yum la dü do

I pay homage to you, Mother, Wish-Fulfilling Wheel.

མདོར་ན་སྲས་བཅས་རྒྱལ་བ་ཡོངས་ཀྱི། །

dorna sé ché gyalwa yong kyi

In brief, to you, the embodiment of the primordial wisdom

ཡེ་ཤེས་གཅིག་བསྡུས་འཕགས་མ་ཁྱོད་ལ། །

yeshe chikdü pakma khyö la

Of all the victorious ones and their spiritual heirs,

སྙིང་ནས་གུས་པས་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས་སོ། །

nying né güpé solwa deb so

Noble lady, I pray with heartfelt devotion,

བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་དུ་རྗེས་སུ་ཟུངས་ཤིག །

changchub bardu jesu zung shik

Take care of me until enlightenment.

དམ་ཆོས་བསྒྲུབ་པའི་འགལ་རྐྱེན་ཞི་ཞིང་། །

damchö drubpé galkyen zhi zhing

Pacify all circumstances that prevent the accomplishment of the sacred Dharma.

ཚེ་བསོད་དཔལ་འབྱོར་རིག་དང་བརྩེ་བའི། །

tsé sö paljor rik dang tsewé

Grant your blessings, so that with all favourable conditions in abundance,

མཐུན་རྐྱེན་མ་ལུས་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པས། །

tünkyen malü pünsum tsokpé

Long life, merit, splendour, knowledge, and love,

དོན་གཉིས་འགྲུབ་པར་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས་ཤིག །

dön nyi drubpar jingyi lob shik

I may accomplish the twofold benefit―for myself and others.

ཅེས་པའང་ལྷག་པའི་ལྷ་མོ་འདི་ཉིད་ལ་གཅིག་ཏུ་གུས་པ་འཇམ་དབྱངས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་དབང་པོས་སྙིང་ནས་དད་པས་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པ་དེ་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་འགྲུབ་པར་གྱུར་ཅིག །

Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, who has one-pointed, heartfelt devotion for the supreme female deity, composed this prayer. May it be accomplished accordingly!
