༄༅། །རིག་འཛིན་འཇིགས་མེད་གླིང་པའི་འཁྲུངས་རབས་གསོལ་འདེབས་བཞུགས། །

Prayer to Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa Invoking His Previous Incarnations

མགོན་པོ་སྲིད་ཞིའི་ཁྱབ་བདག་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་། །

gönpo sizhi khyabdak kuntuzang

Protector, lord presiding over the whole of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, Samantabhadra

གཞི་རྒྱུད་བདེ་གཤེགས་སྙིང་པོའི་ངོ་བོ་ཉིད། །

zhi gyü deshek nyingpö ngowo nyi

Whose very essence is the “ground continuum,” the sugatagarbha;

སྟོང་ཉིད་སྙིང་རྗེར་ཤར་བ་སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས། །

tongnyi nyingjer sharwa chenrezik

Avalokiteśvara, the manifestation of emptiness and compassion;

དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེའི་ཞབས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

garab dorjé zhab la solwa deb

And Garab Dorje—to you we pray!

 

བཅོམ་ལྡན་འོད་སྲུང་དྲུང་ན་ཀྲྀ་ཀྲྀའི་སྲས། །

chomden ösung drung na krikri sé

You manifested as the son of King Kṛkin in the presence of Buddha Kāśyapa,¹

ཉི་མའི་གཉེན་གྱི་མཆེད་གྱུར་གཅུང་མཛེས་དགའ། །

nyimé nyen gyi ché gyur chung dzé ga

As Nanda, the younger brother of the Kinsman of the Sun,²

སྲོང་བཙན་སྒམ་པོའི་རྣམ་སྤྲུལ་ཨ་ཀར་མ། །

songtsen gampö namtrul akarma

As Akaramati emanated by King Songtsen Gampo,³

ཁྲི་སྲོང་ལྡེའུ་བཙན་ཞབས་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

trisong detsen zhab la solwa deb

And as King Trisong Detsen—to you we pray!

 

བིརྺ་པ་དང་ལྷ་ལྕམ་པདྨ་གསལ། །

birwapa dang lhacham pema sal

Mahāsiddha Virūpa and Princess Pemasal,

གཙུག་ལག་འཛིན་དངོས་རྒྱལ་སྲས་ལྷ་རྗེའི་ཞབས། །

tsuklak dzin ngö gyalsé lharjé zhab

Vihāradhāra⁴ in person, venerable Gyalse Lharje,⁵

དྲི་མེད་ཀུན་ལྡན་ཡར་རྗེ་ཨོ་རྒྱན་གླིང་། །

drimé künden yar jé orgyen ling

Drime Künden,⁶ Yarje Orgyen Lingpa,⁷

ཟླ་འོད་གཞོན་ནུ་གྲགས་རྒྱལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

da ö zhönnu drakgyal solwa deb

Dawö Shyönnu⁸ and Jetsün Drakpa Gyaltsen,⁹ to you we pray!

 

པཎ་ཆེན་བི་མའི་དངོས་སྤྲུལ་བསམ་ཡས་པ། །

penchen bimé ngötrul samyépa

Samyépa, the actual manifestation of Mahāpaṇḍita Vimalamitra,¹⁰

མངའ་རིས་པཎ་ཆེན་ཆོས་རྒྱལ་ཕུན་ཚོགས་ཞབས། །

ngari penchen chögyal püntsok zhab

Ngari Paṇchen,¹¹ Chögyal Püntsok,¹²

བཀྲ་ཤིས་སྟོབས་རྒྱལ་འཛམ་གླིང་རྡོ་རྗེའི་གར། །

tashi tobgyal dzamling dorjé gar

Tashi Tobgyal,¹³ Dzamling Dorje,¹⁴

འཇིགས་མེད་གླིང་པར་བསྒྱུར་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

jikme lingpar gyur la solwa deb

And Jigme Lingpa, to you we pray!

 

འདི་འོག་ཡེ་ཤེས་རྡོ་རྗེའི་རོལ་པ་ཡིས། །

di ok yeshe dorjé rolpa yi

Later, manifesting as Yeshe Dorje,

རྡོ་རྗེ་སྙིང་པོའི་རིང་ལུགས་བསླངས་ནས་སླར། །

dorjé nyingpö ringluk lang né lar

You will uphold the tradition of the Vajra-Essence teachings,

གཤེ་ཞིང་སྐུར་པ་འདེབས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་དོན། །

shé zhing kurpa debpa nam kyi dön

And, once again display for abusers and calumniators

སྤྲུལ་པ་སྣ་ཚོགས་སྟོན་ལ་གསོལ་བ་འདེབས། །

trulpa natsok tön la solwa deb

All manners of manifestations—to you we pray!

 

མདོར་ན་འོད་སྲུང་དྲུང་དུ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ནས། །

dorna ösung drung du semkyé né

In brief, you generated bodhicitta in front of Buddha Kāśyapa,

བྱང་ཆུབ་སྤྱོད་པ་རླབས་ཆེན་རྫོགས་པའི་མཐར། །

changchub chöpa lab chen dzokpé tar

Then perfected the supreme training in the bodhisattvas’ conduct.

རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བ་ཅན་དུ་འཚང་རྒྱ་བའི། །

nampar gyalwachen du tsang gyawé

When you finally attain buddhahood as ‘Completely Victorious’,

འདུས་པ་དང་པོའི་འཁོར་དུ་སྐྱེ་བར་ཤོག །

düpa dangpö khor du kyewar shok

May we be reborn among your foremost students!

 

ཅི་མཛད་ལེགས་པར་མཐོང་བའི་དད་གུས་ཀྱིས། །

chi dzé lekpar tongwé dégü kyi

May we see whatever you do with faith and devotion,

ཁྱོད་ཞལ་ཡིད་ལ་བྱེད་པ་ལ་གོམས་པས། །

khyö zhal yi la jepa la gompé

And repeatedly bringing your visage to mind,

བླ་མ་མཆོག་དང་ནམ་ཡང་མི་འབྲལ་ཞིང་། །

lama chok dang namyang mindral zhing

May we never be separated from the supreme lama,

ཚོམ་བུ་གཅིག་ཏུ་མངོན་པར་སངས་རྒྱས་ཤོག །

tsombu chik tu ngönpar sangye shok

And attain complete enlightenment in one maṇḍala!

 

ཅེས་པའང་རྗེ་བཙུན་ཛྙཱ་ནའི་མིང་ཅན་སོགས་དད་ལྡན་འགས་བསྐུལ་བ་ལས་འཁྲུལ་སྣང་ལ་ཤར་ཚོད་ཙམ་སོར་བཞག་ནས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་ལྷས་སོ། །

This was written by Khyentse Lha at the request of a few devoted students, such as Jetsün Jñāna,¹⁵ while abiding in natural rest, leaving delusional appearances as they are, mere rising.
